Art Order - The Twin-Axe of Oxdinoggi’s Retribution
Time to practice Art Directing... Myself!
LORE
The Twin-Axe of Oxdinoggi’s Retribution
Oxdinoggi was a many-horned god-lord of suffering. His subjects endured the curse of his great torment through many dark generations. It was believed Oxdinoggi was a true-immortal; they whispered of his obsidian carapace, thought forged from pure-malice in the fires of solar flare. What weapon could possibly penetrate such a piercing nightmare, and of what constitution would such a warrior necessarily be composed?
Pelstacia came from a distant star, following the rumors of Oxdinoggi, the immortal game. She had sparkling eyes, a sparking disposition, and upon each hip, shining crescent-moon hand axes. Her concern was not of the people, only Oxdinoggi, and the power and glory his severed head would provide her.
Her striking hand-axes were forged from a mysteriously lustrous material, featuring a large sweeping blade which glowed with an ethereal aura and an effigy of a serine bird serving as the head of the axe, which sat atop a richly adorned but well-worn handle. Pelstacia claimed they were god-slayers she had won on the great-moon of Vogus years before. No one would dare question it.
The Twin-Axe of Oxdinoggi’s Retribution earned its title on the day of Pelstacia’s bloody encounter with Oxdinoggi. Swinging them as one, Pelstacia shattered Oxdinoggi’s obsidian armor and ended the god-lord’s torment, but not his curse. The blades were corrupted by the beast’s pure-malice, and Oxdinoggi’s face burned away and replaced the effigy on the head of the axe. Oxdinoggi’s strength was taken within the blades, which took on Oxdinoggi’s own obsidian shade. Pelstacia traveled on to a new star, and a new hunt, carrying the weight of his malice with her, and Oxdinoggi’s retribution is paid upon all who find their end by way of those now-cursed blades.
The Job
Create a design and game-ready model for the Twin-Axe of Oxdinoggi’s Retribution. This world features a heavy-metal space asthetic so the axes should be stylized appropriately. The two axes can be identical for this assignment. These are hero-models and show pieces so slightly higher polycounts will be tolerated.
Target Specs
3~10k triangles 1 2048px PBR Texture set including albedo, roughness, metallic, normal, and emissive maps.

I'm excited to say I'm making some artwork for an upcoming indie game called Potions: A Curious Tale. This little guy is a MushDoom. They often pop out of the ground when you are trying to harvest mushrooms in the enchanted forest. They may be small and quirky, but they pack a punch if you get too close!

I will be tweeting more @WesleyEldridge and the project leader is @rikukat

Today's photoshop practice thing. I think I'm starting to get a better feel for using photoshop for painting. I still need to get faster though.
