Is it bad that sometimes I ask myself that question when watching the movies? Like I see roads and building being damaged and wonder, who will pay for it. I always think Tony does, but even his resources may not be enough to build new cities.
I’m always thinking that! Like there’s a running tally in my head of how much I think it’ll cost, though I have no idea, so they’re all just guesses. You wonder if the city presents the Avengers with a bill at the end of it all.

Sam: I think that's a great idea.
Sam: Where did you want to go? Did you want to go somewhere in the US, or go international?
Michael: Perhaps something international?
Michael: I was wondering if you'd like to meet my mum.

I’m sure he will, I mean I know I would be. I want mutant powers.
What would you want your mutant powers to be?

Perhaps that’s it. You sure you weren’t raised in a bubble?
Not that I remember, but memories can be deceiving sometimes. At least, in my experience.

Exactly! There is no way they could go up against the Hulk and expect a good outcome, but they try anyway. I don’t think they will every have a chance in those movies. Unless hawkeye and black widow trained them.
Now there’s an idea... Though I don’t imagine Hawkeye and Black Widow would want to do anything to make the Hulk weaker. What I think’s amazing is all the damage they do... The heroes. They destroy entire cities, and I wonder who pays for that.

Quiet, Michael.
I may have started one.
You know you’re the best, right?

If I had the time I would knit a sweater to go with the basket.
Kidding, only kidding I do take my mom role seriously.
I don’t believe you were kidding.

You probably should get to that, but it might be too late if you’re sick. Now it’s just trying to fight through it.
I’m working on fighting through it, though my doc said I might want to get the shot to ward off the other strain of flu going around. Just in case. And that next year, I shouldn’t ignore the notices about flu season. Live and learn, I guess.

Or, you’re having a blip because they’re strengthening.
Yes! That’s what I’m telling my boyfriend next time I see him too. “Guess what? My mutant powers are strengthening.” He’ll be very jealous.

It’s deff a case of melodrama, but if you’ve never had the flu… how have you gone through life?
Luck?

So I’m sitting here watching Avengers because there isn’t anything better to do since I’m the only one up. I’m at the Hulk scene and all I see is everyone running away and the police officers running towards the danger. They looked so scared but it’s their job and they have to protect their city. Gotta say that I have a new found respect for law enforcement, but that is also a job I will be crossing off my list.
I feel bad for the cops in those movies, because what are they going to do? They’re going to get their asses handed to them, but they have to run in regardless of the fact that they’re definitely going to lose. Do you think they think they’ve got a chance?

You assumed right, Michael. Stay home. Sam, when you’re home again come by my house and I’ll give you a get well basket to take over to him. Thank you, darling.
Please keep in bed, Michael. We’ll make due at the store.
I swear I was about to call and let you know. I just didn’t want you to worry... or feel that you needed to put together a basket, though you know I won’t say no.
Thanks, Mom.

So, I’ve been told. But I have an amazing boyfriend. I had seen it, but I want to go back and see it with you, and I promise I won’t spoil you.
The soup helped... I think the company helped more, but I’m always happy to have your company. I should let Becca know I’m sick, but she’d be burying me in medication and food, I think. She’s become a mom to me in that way.

A little. I’ve never met someone who hasn’t had a flu before. Maybe you’re a special kind of mutant or something?
I guess this means my mutant powers are wearing off then. Uh oh.

It likely will. It sounds like it’s a cold with a slight case of melodrama.
Colds don’t have high fevers. It’s the flu. You’re probably right about that melodrama though. I’ve just never had it is all.

…Yes, that’s exactly why. Did you not get them this year?
I’ve never gotten a flu shot, but I’d never had the flu until this year.
