Me: *having a full meltdown, curled up on the floor, crying*
Dada: “Would you like help to go to bed?” *reaching out to touch me*
Me: “No! Nonono!”
Dada: *pauses* “Would you like a comfort item?”
Me: *trembling and nodding*
Dada: *leaves and comes back with Fairy Floss* “Here you go. No hitting your head, ok? I’ll get you a drink.”
Me: *hugging my stuffie and slowly calming down*
Dada: *setting glass of water near by, and sitting down a little ways off* “Im right here, ok?”
We’re learning together how to handle my meltdowns… But we’re getting better and better. I love him so much.

In the last month, I have written four different novels with queer autistic protagonists of color! I am extremely proud of them, but I have barely sold any, despite the fact they’re all under $5 and full length, and – from what I’ve heard in reviews – genuinely good literature.
I haven’t been able to make money for the last two months, and have had to ask my transphobic and ableist dad for money, but I don’t want to anymore, because he’s just too bad for me to feel okay about using his money. I do not know how much money I have in the bank, but I suspect it is less then $20.
My rent is in 3 days. Please, please reblog, even if you can’t buy. Please.

I need some of these so badly! Mine are old and loose and don't block enough noise
Ear Defenders Review.
My new ear defenders came in time for my holiday!! I decided to do a review to help out those who are thinking of buying some new ear defenders. These ones I bought are everything I was looking for, they’re not too bulky, they cancel out loads of noise and they’re stylish!
Where did you buy them?
I got them on Amazon UK here.
But you can also get them on the worldwide Amazon site here.
Do they work?
They work brilliantly! They block out loads of noise but not too much that you can’t hear anything. You can still hear people talking to you and some background noises but it’s a lot quieter and much more peaceful. They’re perfect if you’re feeling overloaded and want to be shut out from the world.
Are they good quality?
For such a low price you get some amazing ear defenders! They are really good quality and they do their job well.
How much did they cost?
They were £10.95 ($14.83) with free shipping! On the worldwide Amazon site they are $11.98.
What colours do they come in?
They come in pink (what I have), light blue, dark blue, green, purple and red.
Are they comfortable?
The padding is super soft and comfy. Although they are tight on your ears so if you don’t like that tight sensation then these are not for you. I personally like that sensation because it makes me feel calm and safe.
Are these only for kids?
Nope! They advertise them as “kids ear defenders” but they fit perfectly on me and they even fit my dad!
Do you recommend them?
Yes, if you’re looking for discreet, comfy, cheap, stylish, noise cancelling ear defenders then these are for you!

I really want to start collecting things like this for my own sensory station! So pretty and calming
My Stim Toy Collection
(1st Photo) Overall view of sensory station. On the floor is my 3.5 weighted turtle. I love him so much <3 Around the trolley cart is my galaxy ear defenders. On the right is my Ikea Raskog Cart filled with assorted stim toys.
(2nd Photo)- Top shelf of Ikea Cart- Assorted squishies, silicon fidget toys & lots of different types of dough balls and net balls. There’s also a moon/star light stick that flashes bright colours. And a visual stick that has floating glitter/gemstones when you turn it upside down.
(3rd Photo)
Middle Shelf of Ikea Cart- a rainbow sequin-flip journal, a rainbow pouch that contains different chewies, a tub of slime and assorted putties. A few soft toys, and 3 containers of different colours of ‘Foam Alive’, from my Foam Alive Ice cream Kit.
Bottom shelf of Ikea Cart- A giant slimeball, a few silicon toys, some textured cubes/animals (that are actually babies toys, but they have nice texture!). There’s also lots of light up spiky balls etc and visual balls. And a few snake puzzles.
(4th Photo) Top shelf is lots of liquid timers and a light up glitter lava lamp.
Next shelf has a cup containing a glitter liquid pen, a liquid timer pen, and lots of Scentos scented textas/markers, there’s also 4 tangles there including a fuzzy tangle. A TY rainbow Narwhal plush, I love his shine!! And other assorted stim toys including a fidget cube and a spiky Lapras who swims when you move him along a flat surface. The lava lamp pictured is a pink glitter one.
(5th Photo) My latest addiction- plush squishies. All of them are squeezamals apart from the largest one- a bunny plush. The yellow cat is their 3D version. Some of the round squeezamals are from a blind box and some are from Series 3. There’s also a pin board thing there, with the needle pins you can touch and a heart mirror light in the centre,
Lowest shelf- Assorted toys including a giant orange squishy. A few weights, that I am supposed to be using for my CFS, but the weight of them also feels nice! There’s also a textured grass foam dinosaur. The texture is great when you really are in a texture-craving mood. The top tub pictured holds my moulds from the Foam Alive Icecream Kit and some sandcastle mini moulds for my Kinetic Sand (which is stored in the lower tub)
That’s my stim toy collection/sensory station so far!!
Excluding a few plushies and my Senseez Jellyfish vibrating cushion.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Stim toys are definitely my special interest 💕
I will eventually take more detailed photos of every item in the Ikea cart etc. But for now, this is the overall view.

This poem is everything!! So relatable I felt like it was something I could have written on my darkest days. Space is something I can never get enough of life demands to much
Space
Today is the greyest day. My chest is heavy & I have retreated my spent body into the comfort of my own silence, into the solace of soft blankets wrapped tightly against my skin.
I have nothing to say.
You have required my attention relentlessly, as if I have something left in these empty unrestful hands that I can give to you when I can’t give myself anything other than endless
space.
Space between myself & the loud buzzing world, space between these dizzying discordant feelings & the words for said feelings, space between who I am who I was & who I want to be.
The only thing I ask for, the only thing I have to offer you, but you need more.
You fool, the darkness never gives as much light as it takes away.

Autistic Age Regressors
I'm an autistic age regressor and this means many things for me. I thought I'd share a few in case other autistic regressors feel the same. You're not alone!
• I find it difficult to "play pretend" and therefore can't do things like pretending to be a prince or princess, or pretending my stuffies can talk
• I don't always like hugs and cuddles from people but stuffie hugs are great!
• I have specific food likes and dislikes due to sensory reasons and most "kids food" is perfect for me! (Mac and cheese is my favorite!)
• It's great when your special interests align with your regression interests!
• Many autistic people had difficult childhoods due to misunderstanding of their feelings and behavior, so age regression can be really comforting for us to sort of redo it!
• Stimming while regressing!!! Stimming with stuffies!!! Stimming with pacis or chewy stuff or teethers!!!
• Soft things like baby blankets and stuffies that are made specially soft for babies!
• Being "in my own little world" is okay because I'm just a baby with a big imagination!
• Being excited about a special interest and telling people about it is cute and good for you!
• Disliking being messy or touching textures that many kids may like such as paint or food
Please feel free to add more!

Soothing a crying little
Talk softly or play continous monotonus rhythmic sounds such as clock ticking, a fan whirring or peaceful music.
Offer pacifier if one uses them, this will help them control their arousal.
Massage their body by stroking torso and limbs with continuous, gentle motions to relax their muscles.
Swaddle them as restricting movement and increasing warmth will often soothe them.
Take them for a short car ride or a piggyback ride; or go for a swing at the park. Gentle, rhythmic motion of any kind will often help to lull them.
Remember, stimulating several of their senses at once is often more effective than stimulating only one.

Bonding with your little
Hold your little close and gaze into their eyes.
Talk or coo to your little, stroke their skin, and rock them.
Sing or hum a favourite song or lullaby at bedtime.
Lie on your side with your little next to you, facing you.
Snuggle your little under your chin. (especially tall caregivers)
Lay your little on your bare chest for skin-to-skin contact. Turn your little’s head to the side so they can hear your heartbeat.
Give your little a bath.
Take every opportunity to hold and hug them.
Play with your little and their stuffies. Face-to-face play helps focus your little’s attention and provides lessons in sharing of expression and emotions.

These tips are so beautiful 💖🦄
The shower one is my fav. There is something relaxing and pure about the sound of the spray hitting your your head and casacding over your ears that creates this waterfall effect where everything is echoey and peaceful. The whole world goes silent in that moment.
In that moment is where I can finally think clearly.
In that moment I can finally here myself.
depression tips™
shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.
moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.
put on clean, comfortable clothes.
put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.
drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.
blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.
make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.
go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.
call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.
cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.
