more medieval/royalty forbbiden love plots for y’all
i. muse a and muse b were close friends throughout childhood, eventually falling in love. however, life draws them apart and they never see each other again… until the day in which muse a, of higher ranking, meets their betrothed arranged by their parents. by their side, their closest friend, is muse b.
ii. muse a is a well-instructed commoner, a humble person with a brilliant mind and dreams of being an inventor. they’re given the one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet with their country’s monarch and present a project to them so it may be financed. in the palace, they cross pathes with muse b, the monarch’s child who can seldom leave the palace. muse b takes personal interest in muse a and they keep finding excuses to meet, even with the knowledge that this love could never be.
iii. muse a is not merely the newest, unwitting courtier. they’ve been put in muse b’s palace with very specific finalties: grow close to them, gather information and destroy them. kill them with their own hands, if they must. unfortunately for them, they fall in love with muse b in the process. twist: they fall in love with one of muse b’s relatives, as in their sibling or spouse.
iv. muse a and muse b come from very different kingdoms. different languages, different religions, different cultures. still, they meet in a diplomatic meeting in which muse a is host in muse b’s palace so they may talk. something spark between them and, between letters and meetings that stray beyond politics, they find the desire to be with each other.

🍎 。:*• ─ SCARY MOVIE PLOTS. › ( to celebrate this spooky season, here’s a compilation of plot ideas inspired by some horror/scary movies. )
1. The invitation — muse A has recently found out they have family in another country/city and they meet a relative who eagerly invites them to visit, as there’s going to be a wedding and they’d be able to meet the rest of the family. Upon A’s arrival, they receive a very warm welcome and one of the best rooms in the old family mansion, as well as lot of attention from muse B. However, when the day of the wedding arrives and no bride or groom are to be seen, muse A quickly finds out that it’s them who’s supposed to marry muse B. How will they take these news ? What are their family’s intentions behind this wedding ? An attempt to honor old bonds with muse B’s family ? Join their fortunes and/or properties/businesses ? Or is there something darker going on ? Something supernatural, maybe ? Will A try to escape or have they already fallen for B ? What are B’s thoughts on having A as a partner ? Is this a match made in heaven hell ?
2. The party — muse A and muse B haven’t known each other for long, but are now friends/romantic partners. When A is invited to a party at an old friend’s house, of course they bring B along ! It’s one of those wild parties, where everything is fun and games ( maybe your typical truth or dare, or a find-the-killer murder mystery game ? ), with lots of flirtation and one too many drinks thrown into the mix. But as a storm rages outside, there’s a power outage and seemingly no phone signal. To make things worse, one of the guests is found dead ! Unable to call for help, will they stay together and look out for each other ? Was it an accident or a murder ? Did someone break into the house or is there a killer among them ? With B being the “new person” all suspicions are on them. Will A stand by them, or let doubt creep in ? Will old rivalries and secrets among the friend group re-emerge ? Will there be more victims ? Will they turn on each other or work together to survive the night ?
3. The gift — muse A’s birthday is coming up and B has found the perfect gift ! It was something A had been trying to find for ages ( it could be a doll, a hand-carved wooden box, a painting, a book, etc… ) and B almost couldn’t believe it when they found it online/at a garage sale for such a good price ! It was almost too good to be true, but it surely made A’s day and B was ecstatic to see them this happy ! Until things started to feel different. Little changes at first, with objects moving around the house or A feeling more irritated, and then terrible, gruesome things start happening around them, with A and/or the gifted object always being connected to them. How long will it take them to make this connection ? What power does this object hold over muse A ? Will they freely give it to B to take it away, or will they choose it over B ? How will this affect their relationship ? Will they simply try to destroy the object ? Try to sell/gift it to another person ? What if it keeps coming back ? Will they try to do some research on its origin and past owners ? Is it too late to break its bond with muse A ?
4. The experiment — muse A and muse B didn’t know each other previously, but are now moving in together along with some other people to a big, beautiful house in a remote place, as part of an experiment to study sleep disturbances/anxiety/another physical or mental illness of your choosing. Will A and B get along straight away or become enemies at first sight ? How will they pass the time in their new, luxurious home ? However, there’s much more to this experiment than meets the eye, as its true purpose is to study the participants’ response to fear. When increasingly strange, scary things ( moving objects, spectral visions, disappearances, etc… ) start happening, how will they react ? Will they try to help and protect each other, or save only themselves ? Are there any clues around the house ? Is all of this the scientists’ doings, or is there something truly dark and supernatural about this place ? Will they make it out alive ? Will the scientists/the house let them go freely or try to silence them, keeping them from revealing their secrets ?
5. The curse — muse A is cursed. Maybe they watched a cursed viral video, had sex with a previously cursed person, summoned an entity in front of a mirror ? Whatever it was, they are now being chased by an evil, vengeful entity who will grant them a very gruesome death if they don’t pass it along to another person. In order to save themselves, muse A chooses muse B. Will they tell B all about this curse beforehand, so they can make a conscious choice to help them ? Will B accept just because they think A is only messing with them and nothing bad will truly happen ? And in case A chose not to tell B anything, will they just walk away, leaving B to find out everything for themselves and fight for their life ? How will B react to now being cursed ? Will they just pass it along to another person and hope it never comes back, or try to find a solution and put an end to it ? Will they work together with A ? Will they just pass the curse between themselves and try to cheat death for as long as possible, sparing other people ?

oh to be pinned against a wall by my arch nemesis who i am secretly pining for and smirk insolently up at them while fantasizing about kissing them and being kissed back as they lean forward until our noses are almost touching to whisper threats which are meant to intimidate me but only turn me on more in my ear

more f/f plots because we all need more f/f plots.
after midnight ; muse a works at the local cornerstore as well as being in school to pay for books and keep herself alive, and usually gets stuck working the graveyard shift—which she admits can be kind of amusing considering the people that come in. in particular, she notices muse b, a cute girl who comes in at least every friday to pick up a box of condoms, a bag of candy and painkillers. sometimes they talk and joke, but muse a never hits on her because ‘of course she probably is straight.’ however, after jokingly saying ‘have fun with the boyfriend!’ after ringing muse b up, she’s surprised when muse b turns before leaving, laughing and saying ‘i like girls. cute ones.’ with a wink. cue late night flirting and kissing when there are no customers!
the wire ; muse a and muse b met during their first year of college while trying to join up for a sorority. sparks flew and now in their junior year, they’re a hot couple: usually pictured at all the parties, always hanging onto to each other—they are the envy of most couples on campus seeing as they’re always getting along— but when a new rush season starts and muse a starts to get close to a new pledge, muse b gets jealous and begins acting out of character and starts flirting with other girls—putting a major strain on their seemingly perfect relationship.
who are you ; muse a is one of those girls. the “i’m not like those other girls,” type. who refuses to buy starbucks, wears glasses, reads books, drinks tea, watches dr.who like her life depends on it, and has the typical internal misogyny glued right into her and refuses to change. muse b is one of those girls, and she really doesn’t care. she’ll wear her uggs, makeup and show up to every event with starbucks and instagram her cup because the barista wrote her name cutely that day. they end up working together at a retail place in the mall and muse a can’t stand muse b , that is until muse a is being harassed in the parking lot late at night after her shift by a bunch of guys while waiting for the bus, and muse b shows up out of nowhere and tells them off, driving muse a home while fuming about the boys, all the while checking to make sure muse a is doing okay. in the days following when muse b is driving muse a to and from work, muse a realizes something: she has a major crush on muse b, this preppy girl who swears like a truck driver at boys and smiles like miss america at every girl she passes— the very girl she thought she hated.
falling ; muse a and muse b are finally living out their lives together— a new apartment, stable jobs, and of course each other. as well as one on the way—they’ve decided to go ahead and adopt a three year old girl. things are great for the first couple months— the child is happy, the couple is doing okay, but after a while muse b is having a hard time adjusting to life like this and is having thoughts of leaving, but doesn’t know what to do. instead she draws back from her girlfriend and child, spending time out with friends and coming home drunk, causing for many fights with a very frustrated and confused muse a .

characters who view themselves as tools/weapons first and people second... characters who martyr themselves for a cause because they think that's the only way they can be worth something... characters who push themselves past their breaking point again and again and again... characters for whom devotion and masochism are inseparable... characters whose self-sacrifice becomes self-annihilation...... what was my point again? i had a point. anyway.

Monroe twirled the glass of champagne between her fingers, surveying the room as her friend prattled on about Matt whats-his-name and Bonnie with the blue eyes, singing the praises of the new friends she had been making. She loved Lisa, and that was the only reason she nodded her head and smiled at all the appropriate times. To be honest, it all sounded a little...fake. Performative. Surely, Lisa could see that the people in this group had flaws. Or maybe that was her own flaws showing, her once rose-colored glasses considerably darker over the last six months. Trauma would do that to you, and the blonde certainly had her share of that recently. One dead dad and one less boyfriend had left her jaded in a way she hadn't thought possible, expecting far worse in people than she probably should. But what would you expect to happen when your boyfriend of four years got his 'oh she's just a friend' coworker pregnant, prompting him to not so kindly ask her to move out of their shared apartment. What would you expect when the person that had raised you and your three brothers drinks himself into the ground? "You've changed, Monroe. I just can't make you happy anymore." The words had wrung in her mind for months, reminding her that a dead dad had in fact left her changed....or broken.
She was brought back from her usual descent into darker thoughts by a new voice, her head turning to meet the eyes of a much older man. She knew instantly it was Matt, as Lisa had spent a considerable amount of her free time referring to him as "daddy goals." Soon Mr. Daddy Goals himself was reaching out a hand, and Monroe returned the handshake. God, he would not let up the eye contact. It was a special type of hell, the way he could look into her eyes and seemingly sense every thought and feeling. She returned his smile, although hers was much more forced. "Well, I should say the pleasure's all mine. Lisa's told me all about the impact you and everyone else here has had on her." Before she can get in anymore about Lisa, the conversation shifts to her least favorite topic; herself. She can't help the tiny scrunch of her nose or the downward turn of her lips, any charm he is trying completely missing the mark. "They're nothing special." She easily dismisses his words, before deciding to focus her reply entirely on the party. "Who wouldn't? The alcohol's flowing, Lisa is keeping me entertained, and the food is pretty good. But from what I've heard, that's the usual. Isn't that right?" She turns to her friend, hopeful that she'll take over talking a million miles a minute again. She couldn't place it, but Matt was unnerving. If she could get his damned attention on something else, maybe he would stop staring at her.

"You gonna introduce me to your friend, Lisa?" A wide, welcoming grin showed on Matt's face as soon as the women looked up from their interrupted conversation. He didn't always interject. It was important to let them chat, make them feel comfortable speaking to the one person they knew. In this case it was Lisa, and she had been instructed to give as much positive feedback about the group as possible. This would warm some of the new visitors up to the idea of joining, but there was also another element. Not everyone was allowed to join. The thing that mattered most was ultimately Matt's interest and boy, had it been sparked tonight.
He was intrigued the moment he saw her. Blonde, fresh-faced and with a hint of melancholy behind her eyes. Not that she seemed gloomy. He saw the way she interacted with Lisa, their conversation seemed to be going a million miles an hour, which was part of the reason he'd decided to end it prematurely. Lisa could get sloppy if she was excited. He didn't want her getting sloppy, not in front of a potential new recruit.
"Oh, sorry", Lisa apologized with a short laugh, touching her friend's arm. "This is my friend, Monroe. Well, her first name is Adeline but Monroe sounds so much cooler." While Lisa filled her usual quota of words per sentence, Matt kept his eyes on the new girl. Clear interest flickered behind his eyes, his hand reaching to give Monroe's a firm shake. "Pleasure to meet you, miss Monroe." A faint smirk pulled at the corners of his lips as he studied her face a bit more closely. "Hell, you're more striking than I thought. That's one killer set of eyes you got on you", he observed, his statement underlined by a low chuckle. "I hope you've been enjoying yourself tonight."
