"Last time we were also alone. I wonder, bella, if you could keep quiet if my hand decided to wander while under the covers. What with all these people around and all, would be a little thrill, no?"

"Last time I was under a blanket with you it was quite fun. So I might have to take your offer up on that extra one."

"You think, mon amour?" He curiously began to ask, but quickly got his answer with Clopin's following words. His eyes widened  little when he told him that Lock had dogs sicced on him, confusion settling in. "He can't be allowed to get away with that, yes? I mean, why on earth did he do that for? I'm sure Lock is alive, Clopin. I don't think Scar would really let any of us die, because then that means a little less income for him. I would assume. I like to think everyone is worth something, because everyone contributes, so I don't know." He softly sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "You can have my shirt, if you'd like. I think people will question me being shirtless less than you being shirtless." He chuckled, gently. He did not wait for Clopin to protest before taking his shirt off and holding it out for the other. "How are you holding up? You seem to be keeping it together but I know more than anyone that looks are deceiving."

"He’s alive. I think." It did not feel good to say that. "Some fuckin’ bastard sicced his dogs on him." He felt anger boiling in his stomach again, and he had to exhale to keep himself calm. He rubbed his hands on his face again, feeling exceptionally not like himself, and looked back up at Naveen. "Yeah. Yeah, I probably do." And now he just wanted to get the stained fabric off of him, hoping that none of the blood had soaked through to his skin but knowing it probably had and god he just wanted to vomit. "I don’t have any though," he admitted— the only thing he’d brought with him was his jacket, a blanket and his phone, and even now he didn’t have the blanket. It had been left in his original car, and he’d discarded the bloody jacket in the solitary car he’d been put in.

"Nice to meet you, Lilo. I'm Naveen. Where do you stand with the carnival?" 

"Sure! I love friends. I’m Lilo."

"So what you're saying is, not only will you take the blanket but we are going to be friends?"

"Well yeah but in the midst of mayhem keeping ones future in mind is very beneficial. But friends are always top priority for me so I sompletely agree with you."

"How rude of you. I think you're just messing with me now."

"I don’t know, what do you think?"

"Oh, mon amour, that's horrible! Where is he now? Did he make it out alive? How did he manage to get mauled?" Naveen had not expected to blurt a million questions at once but for some reason he felt concerned, and he did not even personally know Lock. "Is that why you're covered in.." he looked at Clopin's shirt and shook his head, "you need a different shirt."

He rubbed his hands over his entire face, as if trying to rid himself of the deep uneasiness settled into his bones now. He breathed out, hands cupping the back of his neck, and nodded at Naveen’s question. He didn’t speak for a minute or two before he offered up. “I saw my boyfriend get mauled.”

He extended the blanket and wrapped it around her back after she accepted it, smiling softly. "There. Now no one has to go crazy or cold." He took a step back, admiring her hair. "You have really pretty hair, and a lot of it. What do you do around these parts, if one may know, bella?"

"Mhm.." Rapunzel smiled shyly, brushing her thick braid over in front of her shoulder. "I’m definitely set in the pillow department. But I will take that one blanket, if just to keep my teeth was chattering and driving the rest of the car crazy."

"You have your very own built in pillow?" He scanned her up and down for a moment, attempting to figure out where this pillow could be. "I really don't mind sharing at least one blanket with you, bella. I don't really sleep much as it is, so I doubt I'll even need a pillow."

"Oh no, I couldn’t take them both from you, besides, I’ve got my own built in pillow and you sound like you could use that second blanket a lot more than me."
