“Across the centuries, medieval people speak to us about the permanent things, the things that matter: faith, hope, and love. And the last most of all.”

getting stuck into one of my readings for this semester (madness explained by richard bentall) and i’m absolutely loving it so far! there’s a real focus on how modern-day issues relating to mental illness (stigma, diagnosis, treatment, implications, etc) are deep rooted in the very first explanations of ill mental health.
my first lecture is next week and i’m SO excited to get back to work. i’ve got so many exciting things coming up this semester (my modules are amazing and i can finally get my research kickstarted!)

I’m color-blind, but I can pick out that [Yves Klein] blue anywhere. I wrote 30,000 words on this color, and I never grew tired of it. The pigment is staggering. It’s amazing that a color can be so emotional. One can only hope to achieve that intensity in acting.

It’s a hellish week with insane work shifts + a thousand and one readings to get through. So I’m cheering myself up with some mocha and a dark chocolate tart (that was heavenly btw) while tackling Panofsky’s approach to art history.
