You sat, back against a log, staring into the flames. Dark thoughts were twisting around in your mind, negative emotions swirling around and around, whispering ‘He will never love you, you will never be good enough.’ Whimpering unconsciously, you drew your knees up, holding them to your chest, unaware of the wary eyes watching you.

“We need to do something; they are both as bad as each other. He thinks she is too good for him, and she thinks he is too good for her! They are damaging themselves.” Thorin growled low to Balin. He wouldn’t usually encourage a relationship while on a quest, but both you and Bofur were being so severely affected by each other, he knew he would have no peace until it was sorted.

Language of Flowers

Prompt #8: Warning: Language Ahead 

I decided to do a twist on this ☺️

Summary: Bofur is shocked to find a lad fancies him… But, is all as it seems?

“Ori Lad! I need a book, quickly,” Bofur rushed out as he ran into the library, “I need a book about flowers.”

“A book about flowers? Whatever for?” Ori was never the kind of Dwarf to judge another, but he really couldn’t see Bofur as the type to be interested in flowers.

“Ya gots to keep this hush, okay? I have been getting these flowers lately, anyway, today I saw who they came from. A lad! Can ya believe it? I was wee shocked, course I am flattered someone fancies me, but I need to know what the blasted flowers mean. How am I supposed to tell a wee lad I ain’t interested? He looked only a small thing. And my heart is already taken by someone!” Ori’s mouth was gaping by the end of Bofur’s tale, he cleared his throat and set about finding a book that suited his friend’s needs.

Preferences: When he is Protective

Dwalin

Dwalin often gets protective of you when the two of your are amongst elves and men in taverns and should one dare leer or cat call you his response is to promptly punch the offender in the nose and return to your side as if nothing had transpired and tightly grip your hand in his 

Elrond 

Elrond does not like it when you are required to leave Rivendell and journey to a city outside of his lands and despite your protests he will either accompany you himself with two of his most trusted men or should he be unable to leave assign a squad of his best men to escort you 

Bofur

Whilst Bofur knows you can handle yourself in a fight when you are at a tavern enjoying a good mug of beer and two drunken idiots start to brawl he immediately pushes you behind him to prevent any stray punches or kicks from hitting you 

Fili

Fili tends to get protective of you when he feels you are being mocked or spoken down to by anyone who would dare disrespect you in front of him or at all for that matter he always found out but when it occurs in front of him his whole body will go tense and he will stand slightly in front of you and glare fiercely at whoever it is speaking and when able he will make snarky comments at their expense 

Ori

Whilst Ori is generally very passive he gets very protective when you are around his two brothers Nori and Dori  as they tend to clash a lot and he does not like you seeing such display of dislike for ones own kin and whenever there is even the slightest remark that could set them off he will promptly take you by the arm and drag you out of the room

Walking along the empty hall did not particularly bother you. However, walking along it in the middle of the night with Dwalin by your side did. It’s not like you didn’t like Dwalin. It’s just that his reasoning behind his visit had you on edge. Word had gotten to you that a certain thief was behind bars yet again and it was always your job to set him straight.

Title: Defending Nori

 Summary: Dori freaks out on Nori when he finds out he stole some things from Rivendell, so you decide to put an end to it.  

 Warnings: Confrontation. Language. Slight Angst.

  “Why?!  Why would you do that! You don’t need it, you can’t sell it, so why?!”  Dori’s voice echoed around the area as he screamed at his brother.  His face was turning an interesting shade of purple and red as he tried to reign himself in, and by the shaking of his hands, he wasn’t doing a good job of it.

It was only a beats of silence, granting hope to all around that it was over, but that wasn’t the case.  It was just Dori taking a breath before he started up again.  “You could have gotten someone killed!  Those goblins thought we were in league with the elves because of your sticky fingers!”  

Your eyes shifted from avoiding the whole sight to fixing on Nori.  He always had an air of indifference around him, as if the world could end and it wouldn’t have bothered him none.  But it was gone, swept up by the ranging storm that was hurricane Dori.  You could only watch as you best friend lowered his eyes, staring at the ground as he took his elder brother’s verbal beating.

Summary: Feelings of unrequited love that turn out to be false, oh and a dose of jealousy.

Warnings: FLUFF, FLUFF GALORE!

“Here you are Y/N; I brought you your supper.” Bilbo held the bowl of steaming stew in front of your face. Gratefully accepting his offer, you motioned for him to sit down. Glancing around the camp, watching as everyone else enjoyed their food, you smiled at the company, happy you had found such wonderful friends. Eyes passing over each one of them, they came to a stop on a particular head, well a hat really. Bofur had somehow snuck his way into your heart, and you had decided you didn’t mind at all, except of course for the fact that you knew he didn’t feel the same. Feeling the clenching of your heart you remembered back to all the times he had made comments about a certain ‘lass’ that he fancied, he never said her name, but truthfully you didn’t wish to know. He, of course, had no idea you had heard him speaking about the lucky woman. Apparently, that was just a subject he shared with his male friends. Feeling hurt at the fact that he hadn’t told you but more so that he loved another, you shook your head of the thoughts, trying to instead focus on the Hobbit beside you who was trying to regale you with a story about gardening, thoroughly thrilling stuff. Laughing at all the appropriate pauses and nodding at his words, your mind was still far, far away.

Sorry that I have been gone for a long while. But I'm back.
