Before and after pictures......... This is My very first complete Microblading artistry on a human! I was desperately nervous despite the excellent instruction from my World Microblading Instructor, and the advantage of a previous microblading theory course AND YEARS of waxing and shaping brows. She is so pleased with the first treatment you can tell from the change in her smile an reflected confidence that is less notable in her before image.
I have much room for improvement and a long road of practice ahead of me. I procrastinate a lot!!! I also try to acknowledge the accomplishment of my minor victories (very minor when you consider the size of a stroke of hair!!!). Learning is hard, frustrating and soooooo intimidating!!!
However, It’s great to have a new tool on a familiar canvas. The new knowledge has opened me to apply and see The Golden Ratio to sooooo many things. It’s magical!
It is so challenging to remember to be patient and kind to myself during this process. So much of me resists the urge to give up.... to resist the voice in my head that says “I don’t want to practice I would rather binge TV!” (I call her Ida Wanna, more on her another time)
Today I give myself permission to choose. Because sometimes I really DO need to just lay here and vegg out. And sometimes 8 isn’t enough... but come on 8 is an excessive amount of enough!! 8 shows in a row, 8 slices of pizza, OR 8 sets of brows microbladed onto latex that is enough too!
Rest is equally important as practice to perfection. Tired eyes and hands make for a bad microblading experience for everyone right?!

Behind the scenes snaps from a lookbook shoot for The Sway. The models eyes were so sultry, naturally I just couldn’t resist creating a soft smoky frame around them. Ernesto Gonzalez was the photographer for the black and white image shown here (#10) shot in his studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn, NY.

She’s a super Pretty Natural Beauty and my muse and my sister in law and a master at selfies! I said it before and I’ll say it again!... I love it when she and my brother have date night! She plans the whole look out ahead with inspiration pics, to give me a vision board to work with.

I had a FABULOUS time doing hair & makeup for Tracy McCubbin while she was here in Seattle for her book tour. If you have trouble with clutter... be honest... WE ALL do! I HIGHLY suggest picking up a copy of her new book “making space, clutter free; the last book on decluttering you’ll ever need” Tracy guides you with simple yet innovative ways to declutter while she embraces your memories with honesty to help you find space to let go. This is a great book and a great woman! Thank you @tracymccubbin for letting me tag along on this whirlwindtour! Hair and makeup by me @prettypranallc Rebecca Wendfeldt
