I love that Jorge made the retelling of Poseidon as a ruthless, unrelenting God. Too often is he shown as a chill God when he’s supposed to be representative of the OCEAN. YA KNOW?! THE PLACE THAT CAPSIZES SHIPS AND DROWNS PEOPLE ALL. THE. TIME?! Water isn’t gentle! Yeah, sure, it hydrates you, keeps your roses alive, and prevents the land from entering a drought.

But the moment you’re off that land, there is no respect from the water. You must work with it. It never works with you. Swim or you’re dead. Watch out for the rip current or you’re dead. Filter it or you’re dead. Stay away from it’s animals or you’re dead. I could go onnnnn. Jorge presented that perfectly. If creatives don’t follow that lead, they’re making a mistake. But that’s my own opinion lol.
