"In recruiting subjects for their study, they sought out three different groups of women in intimate relationships: emotionally and physically abused, emotionally abused only, and non-abused. However, cluster analysis of their data revealed that, among women with live-in heterosexual partners, there were no distinct abused and nonabused groups. Rather, male-female relationships were described by a continuum of abuse. ALL male-female relationships were more or less abusive. Even among dating couples Graham, Foliano, et al. (1990) found that 42 percent of the women in the sample, mainly college freshman, had experienced at least some physical abuse in their current relationship. Seventy-eight percent had experienced at least some emotional abuse in the same relationship. One third of this sample had been dating six months or less!
Bart (1983; Bart and O’Brien 1985) has identified a heterosexual sex-rape continuum. At one end is consensual sex (both parties equally desire sex). At the other is rape. In between are altruistic sex (one party submits out of guilt, duty, or pity) and compliant sex (one party submits because the consequences of not submitting are worse than those of submitting).
Using Bart’s conceptualization, Kelly found that most women “felt pressured to have sex in many, if not all, of their sexual relationships with men” (p. 56). Yet she found that women perceived sex as coercive only when physical force or the threat of physical force was used. An event usually was not called rape by women unless the perpetrator was a stranger, it happened at night and outdoors, physical force was used, and they resisted. Moreover, Scheppele and Bart (1983) found that women tended not to define nonphallic rape (for example, digital penetration) as rape. These findings reveal that most women strongly resist perceiving an event which happened to them as coercive or rape, but that most of the sexual experiences of most women involve altruistic or compliant sex."

oh btw saying relationships with men inherently have power dynamics and involves a women submitting to a man literally just reinforces the patriarchy by implying women are inherently weaker than men. just saying

the amount of women out here theorycrafting heinously pseudoscientific and delusional copes for why the men they date act like they don’t give a fuck about her makes me want to tear my hair out. i lose 6 months off my life every time i hear about “anxious attachment.” please get real
he ignores you for days at a time because he doesn’t care. he ghosts after sex because that is all he wanted from you. he strings you along but refuses an exclusive relationship because he does not want to date you. he won’t introduce you to his friends because you are not one of his friends. he doesn’t do his share of the housework because he thinks you should do it. he acts inconsiderate because he does not think about you. his words don’t match his actions because the words are lies.
postulating about his “attachment style” and his “unhealed trauma” and his “neurodivergence” and the deep conflicting reasons for his behavior is a waste of your fucking time. he acts like he doesn’t like you because he does not like you, and because he can get away with it. y’all are making up a whole different man in your head because you so badly want to believe he isn’t a womanhating parasite. you are imagining a soul in the dried up corpse of a roach. you are projecting depth and vulnerability onto a dog shit wedged in your shoe. stop giving losers the benefit of the doubt PLEASE i am on my knees like a dog BEGGING all women

if you’re butch in public you’re showing kids what kind of woman they can be. you’re a marvel and an open door. you are something they might have thought was impossible. you are the proof little butch girls need that they can exist grown up and happy and handsome without changing a single thing

Men refuse to understand what SA actually is and looks like because then they’d have to admit they’ve SAed someone before

To make a world where straight women aren't consistently ending up with horrible men, we need to make a world where they aren't afraid to end up single. Where it is clear that lifelong celibacy is the preferable option a lot of (or even most) of the time. A lot of straight women don't want to end up in a big house all by themselves, or have to raise kids all by themselves, so I think we need form more communities of women intentionally living together apart from men.

Women are getting rid of their Trump supporting partners while they still legally can since they clearly don't give a shit about them or any other woman.
If you're thinking about getting a divorce, you should do it while you still can.

once you free yourself from wearing makeup and looking the way society tells you to, walking into a makeup store feels sort of like entering the twilight zone.

I really don’t think it’s transphobic to say gender dysphoria is a mental illness. It isn’t the same thing as when they classified homosexuality as mental illness. Because apart from facing homophobia, nothing else about being homosexual is distressing to us.
But with gender dysphoria the individual has distress and discomfort with being their sex that causes them to feel depressed amongst other things.

i don’t buy the “men need a woman who is nice to them to be deradicalized” bc all of these men have mothers and many have sisters, cousins, and female friends. they don’t want a woman who is nice to them and they won’t listen to a woman who is nice to them, because they don’t see women as human. they want someone to fuck, that’s it. if you think women owe them that you are literally falling for rape culture.

For any women looking at the radical feminist 4B or 6B4T movements and wondering how to commit, here are the tenants:
4B stands for:
1. no sex with biological men (비섹스; bisekseu)
2. no giving birth (비출산; bichulsan)
3. no dating men (비연애; biyeonae)
4. no marriage with men (비혼; bihon)
To add the tenants of 6B4T, you must also commit to:
5. no purchase of sexist products (비소비; bisobi)
6. fully supporting other single women who are practicing and committed to the movement (비돕비; bidopbi)
And fully reject:
1. strict beauty standards (탈코르셋; talkoreuset)
2. hyper-sexual depictions of women (탈오타쿠; tarotaku)
3. religion (탈종교; taljonggyo)
4. idol culture (탈아이돌; taraidol)
My wish and my hope is that many more American libfems will genuinely join us radfems in committing to the 6B4T or 4B movements.
However, please don’t just toss these terms out indiscriminately. These movements stand for very specific protest behaviors and commitments.
(And perhaps this movement is not for you, that’s okay! It’s a big commitment and perhaps you’re not ready. Radicalization is a process and not everyone is at the same place. So, no judgement!)
But please, please my libfem sisters, don’t pretend to be 4B or 6B4T without a true intention and desire to commit. It won’t help the movement, and you’ll just harm genuine efforts both locally and globally.

"we still can tell you're female/male" is a conservative argument against trans people and if you use that argument and say you're radfem then you're a joke

If you think the point of 4b is to punish men and not to support women living fulfilling and dignified lives on their terms free from misogyny….

Project 2025 ain't gonna roll out all at once. So what we're gonna wanna do is make passing each individual part of it as difficult as possible, so there's less to undo once we finally get this country back on the rails.
