I'd like to say that I adore the fact that screech has probably taken her tendril through town so many times none bothers anymore, and I'd like to think she went shopping or something.

Funny idea but probably not. While the cities and Villages along the U&DR have settled into Screech being on the railway, most only really know of her in passing. At heart Screech is still an engine, and shopping laregly escapes her. Engines usually dont get capitalism. Their world is Do your job, get shelter/repairs/fuel.

Whats more likely to happen is a member of the U&DR Crews calling for her help to lift something heavy. Say Arwen or Maxwell lose a tire, she would life them with a tendril to until the wheel was replaced.
