Understanding the Self

This is one of my subject in my program. It gave me a lot of realizations that I still don't truely know myself but it also made me to find my true self. I really do still looking for my true self like what I really want to do and who I really was.

It is really hard to find my true self. In this subject it really helping me to my find and to have a good self. Actually I've been through a lot struggles and also questioning my life if I was really happy about it or I doing it because I was obliged to do it. It gave me realization that always be true to yourself because you're the only one who really knows yourself. You shouldn't be a great pretender you should always be true to other and to yourself.

How can I apply my learnings in this subject. As I said earlier it really made me to find my true self.

To Empower myself because I should set a goals in my life and reflecting on it. Also to be fully prepared to change myself for my goals and to accept failure gracefully.

Finding my meaning of life was also one of my learnings that I really applying to myself right now. Finding your meaning of life can also finding your true self. As I said in my spiritual self I need to trust God and trust myself in order for me to find my meaning of life.

Lastly Accepting failure gracefully because it was hard for me to accept it and also I really had a anxiety attack. When my professor explain it how to accept failure gracefully it made me realize that there is a lot of ways to accept it. Always staying positive is one of the reasons to accept failure and always look for success, there is also a well-known phrase which is try and try until you succeed.

As I conclude this blog this subject in my program gave me an impact about the importance of understanding yourself. Also to develop your personality with the guidance of your family, friends and specially our God. I really do wish that my learnings will remains in my mind and also in my heart. Political Self

Political self is an individual's race, ethnicity, phyical characteristics,values and traits comprises a person's national identity.

I am Elizabeth Victorino and I AM A FILIPINO

Actually I dressed up as an igorot in our small event in my former school. Some people are so afraid to dressed up like igorot, aeta, ivatan etc. We usually dressed up in our national costume which barong at saya every time we had a small event in school and it is the most conservative one.

Me as a filipino I am somehow believing some of the superstitious beliefs such as pagpag and respect the elementals (tabi,tabi po). Actually I am really easily to be scared when it comes to superstitious, harmful spirits because I already experience but now I'm just experiencing sleep paralysis. However some people said that superstitious beliefs are just word of mouth and it is not true if you believe in God according to the catholic church.

Filipino traits and values

Filipinos are known for having a cheerful personality and just like me. I have a very cheerful personality and I really do smile and laugh a lot even though I struggled a lot and having a mental breakdown or almost having failure in class.

Filipino time was the most filipino traits that I have, when I was in Elementary until now I always go to school late like 30 minutes to 1 hour and it became my habit even if in my hangout with my friends I am always late. It was very not good habit of us or maybe in me.

Lastly, close family ties. We are very close to our family like we can't really force our grandparents to have a job even if you are already broke. Close family ties are really strong traits and values we had in the philippines. For me, our family are super close like every summer vacation I always take care my Lolo because I really don't want him to be alone and also to help him from everything he needs. Our country also had a conservative family that they always had a ton of conservative trait that we got from spanish people. Our family is also a conservative family so we basically had a lot of do's and don'ts.

Today the 30th SEA Games our country will be hosting the exciting event. I actually apply to be one of the volunteers and I actually almost accepted but I didn't attend the interview because the schedules of the games will affecting my schedules at school. My two of my friends are volunteers of sea games. I might be attending some games in clark because support the filipino athletes and also the closing ceremony if my parents allowed me. It was my dream to be part of an big event that only filipinos organize it and spreading the culture we had through events and I almost accomplished my dream but the timing was wrong.

As a Filipino we are easily can adapt to other countries. Foreingers are always being fascinated about our culture. I actually had a two cousin who lived in New Zealand when they are still a child. One of their friends went to our country, he casually said to me that he wanted to know and learn the culture of our country and it really made me proud as a filipino when a foreigners brag about how good our culture is. This is video how wonderful our culture is.

Mano po, opo and po I always used them to respect the elderly and it is one of filipino trait well-known by the people around the world.

Spiritual Self

Spiritual self I really don't know if I am really close to my God. But I always do praise him and worshiping him.

I am a Christian (Roman Catholic). They usually said that if you are trying to find your meaning of life you must trust God because God will guide you to find it. I believe on it in order for me to find my meaning of life I must follow and trust him.

As a Christian we are obliged to attend mass every sunday and to pray day and night as we thank God for giving us another day of life.

For me as a Christian it was really hard for me to find my meaning of life because I wasn't good enough to serve our Lord but God never gave up on me he still believe in me that I really can find my true meaning of my life.

God was really good even though I rejected him for many times but God really gave me a new life everyday.

To be honest right now I am still finding my meaning of life that God gave me. I also did change a lot of my bad behaviors but some of it remains as my habit. In order for me to find my meaning of life I should be closer to God and also believing myself that I could really find it. I also believe that once you have a goal in life it is somehow you have a chance to find your meaning of life. My goal is to be an accountant maybe once I become an accountant and being good to others might I already found my meaning of life.

Love is also strong doing in order for you to find your meaning of life. In the greatest commandment " love your neighbor as you love yourself". Once you starting to love everyone you might find your meaning of life. Love is the greatest power of all. Freedom is also part of finding the meaning of life but you must know your limits when it comes to freedom. Some people overused their freedom and ended up being stuck in their own consequences.

Material Self

Material self is buying a goods or things that really makes you happy or collecting them for you to be able to find happiness or stress relief.

Actually there is two things that I really spend my money which is Kpop Merch and Food.

Kpop Merch

You guys all know that I'm a kpop fan and I keep mentioning it in my sexual self and sexual attraction. I collect merch from my favorite kpop idols.

Yeah I really do find happiness everytime I bought a kpop merch and it really made me satisfied. I spend a lot of money but I always do saving money first before I bought it.

You must wondering how many kpop merch I have, well I have...

I recently being addicted to cupsleeves of my kpop idols. Cupsleeves is a cup holder. Every time my kpop idol had a cupsleeve event in Megamall and I would really come as soon as I could but sometimes I don't. I do have a lot of photocards that I've been collecting since the day I bought an album.

I never been experience going to a kpop concert because EVERY TIME I'M GOING TO BUY A TICKET AND IT WAS ALREADY SOLD OUT and one time when EXO had a concert here in the philippines one of my friend giving my vip ticket and I refuse to go to the concert because I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO COMMUTE FROM ANTIPOLO TO MOA ARENA!!

But in the end I am already saving money again for the concert of Seventeen here in our country on Feb 8 and VERY PLEASE WISH ME LUCK!!

Food

I always spend my money to food. I actually have an impulsive behavior when it comes to food.

How can you say no to food right???

My parents super hated this kind of my behavior that I always spend my money to food not into more valuable things. But for me food is my happiness and my stress reliever.

I really love to eat a lot but I really don't gain weight and they always told me that I still look thin even if I ate a lot.

Burgers, pizza, buffalo wings, fruit ade and dumplings are my favorite food. They really gave me comfort every time I was stress and even depressed. It became my habit that everytime I was depressed, anxious and stress I would really eat one of my favorite food.

Thats why I really love to cook for myself, my friends and my families so that I could share happiness through a wonderful meal.

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

There is a lot of do's and don'ts of our material self. We shouldn't be an impulsive buyer like me that we always spend a lot as if we still have enough money for tomorrow. We shouldn't be complacent about having money we should start saving a lot of money.

But for me money can buy happiness but that happiness was short time. True happiness is having a good relationships with your friends and family without materiality.

As I conclude this blog enjoy your material self but know your limits and always save money.

Virtues are worth more than the material things.

Digital Self

In my digital self I have been somehow addicted to social medias. My favorite go-to social media are Instagram, Twitter and Youtube and somehow messenger.

Reasons why I always using this apps.

Messenger - this app I really need the most because it is a messaging app. Most of my teachers and blockmates used this app to send a file for our lesson and also a good way to announce something from school. But be careful using this app not all of your friends in this app are trustworthy so you choose wisely to trust someone.

Youtube - this app is my go-to app when I'm really stressed out and as a kpop fan we always stream our favorite kpop idol music videos. Also I really had fun watching some cafe blog that really helps me to learn some few tips in bartending. It is also go-to app for us students because every tutorials that we need was already here.

Twitter - My social diary app, I usually tweet a lot when I was in junior high school because I rant a lot in twitter but today I frequently doing it. Twitter was one of the top app for cyberbullying because they just tweeted a lot bad things about you until you got depression. Be careful every time you tweet something because they might affect you and to the other people.

Instagram - the millennials "sosyal" photo album. I don't post some pictures that much but I really do instagram story that you post something will last for 24 hours. I'm not using this to show off but to post something funny or short memories that I have spend in a day beautifully.

These are my personal account in Instagram and Twitter. I usually rant in my twitter account and I really don't know why I'm doing it and maybe I guess I just wanted to let things out. Yes Instagram, I really do instagram story to share my short memories to everyone.

I also had a different identity when it comes to social media and that is my kpop fan account in twitter and instagram besides my personal account.

I'm using this account for me to be informed about my kpop idol's variety shows and announcements or schedule of their comebacks and also of their tweets about us and selcas (selfie in korea).

I really having fun using this fangirl identity that really made me different from other people's first impression about me. For me being fangirl really boosting my confidence to be social to other people because I am an ambivert.

Also in my fan account I usually tweeting about my struggles that sometimes I really don't know what to do in my life and they also giving me some advices how to solve it.

As I conclude this blog always be careful using social media and always think before you click.

Let us avoid committing cyberbullying that is also being the major cause of depression that turn into self harm and suicide.

Don't be too addicted to social medias that you are being thirst of likes and attention because not all of them will help you if you need them. Always choose people who you trust and don't trust too much in social media.

Social media is also not too good for us they just making us to be selfish and vanity.

But always know how to use social media rightly.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth and I am a heterosexual.

Heterosexual is sexually attracted to the people of the oposite sex.

For being heterosexual it is quite fun because it is the most sexual identity in our family. My family is a conservative family and it is not good to have homosexuals in our family because it will disgrace our family.

Yes I'm really attracted to men especially my biases in kpop. Super Duper yes I'm a kpop fan.

Being heterosexual doesn't mean that you have the rights to disrespect others sexual identity. For me I have big respects to those have other sexual identity because thats what they deserve which is love and respect.

Sexual attraction

As you know that I'm a attracted to men and I really don't why and I guess maybe because of my two of my favorite movie genre is romantic comedy and chick flick. Also there is nothing wrong to be attracted to someone with same gender or sexuality because no one can stop you #lovewins.

And I still remember my first heart break and it was also my first love. When I was in my 8th grade and I fell in love with him and actually there was a fling between us and I actually thought that we will be together but out of no where he.....

Yup he ghost me and it is quite funny ghosting was already exist. It was very heart breaking for me because I'm always depending to him and also I already attached to him. The time I starting to forget him that is also the day I started to love myself.

Yes I'm single and I am enjoying being single. Being single you don't have to worry about monthsary and anniversary and the only two that I'm worrying about is my academics and money (in order for me to buy foods).

That is really true why I should feel lonely if I have myself, friends and family.Being single doesn't mean you are alone but being alone doesn't mean you are lonely.

I'm not looking for a man because I'm looking for a good grades so that I can survived in this battle called "accountancy". As an accountancy student I should really have strong concentration in my academics in order for me to become an accountant even though artificial intelligence can replace accountants.

Its ridiculous right?? How can I find someone like them and I guess it is posible to have someone like my ideal types if you wait for God's blessings and sign to love someone.

If you learn to wait and not making things fast everything will change. Until now I'm still waiting for someone that I know that he was the one that God gave me.

Right now it is okay to have a relationship but always take the responsibilities and its consequences.

Physical Self

Yes! physical self. There's alot of features that I really love in my physical self. Mostly I really felt in love with these three features of my physical self.

Reasons why I love this 3 features of my physical self.

1. My brown eyes

And Yes! My eyes are dark brown or brunette color that catches someones attention when your eyes catches theirs. I really love my eyes because most of my friends that the first thing they notice in my face was my eyes even though I really had bad eye sight. Also, because of my bad eye sight people think that I'm very grouchy even though its true but it always depend on the situation.

Everytime I'm looking at my eyes in the mirror and I really thank God for giving me a wonderful brown eyes.

2. Tan skin

Being Morena is so damn good recently in our society morenas are now being recognized of other people but in some other countries that tan skin people or dark skinned people are being more and more victim of racism.

I love being morena because it is how you love your natural beauty that is made by God. Actually my morena skin has a lot of scars most of it was created because of my skin asthma and some of it was created of my hurtful childhood memories that I will never forget.

At first, I really wanted to have fair skin when I was a child because most of playmates always called me negra because I have a tan skin but when I learned the subject personal development when I was grade 11, that's the starting point that I should love tan skin because God knows that is my hidden beauty.

3. Pointed Nose

My pointed nose really matches my tan skin and my brown eyes and that was the starting point of my issues in my nationality because my family said that I really look like an arab woman or an indian woman even though I really don't have other race and I'm just a full filipino and also had a filipino blood.

Having pointed nose it was the most beautiful aspect of your face because you are fascinated with life and not all filipinos had a pointed nose but no matter aspects that you have you must learn to love and appreciate it.

It is quite hard to do it first but once you started it everything will change even your self - esteem.
