When both the sensors sense the white floor, then the motors give the motion to rotate accordingly. At the turn, on encountering the black path lane, one of the motor sensors stop rotating. The working principle of the sensor is, when the IR LED generates light on the white floor, then it gets reflected. The reflected light then drops on the photo-diode which decreases its resistance to control the conduction of the motor switch.
