This is a tumblr for all of the people out there who think that prayer flags are extremely beautiful, and just all around awesome. I’ve stopped posting for the most part here, but if you stumble upon this, please enjoy!

White for the clouds,
Red for fire,
Green for water,

Inspired by Nepal: Bringing some colour to the grey rock and ice world of the Bugaboos.
While strands of prayer flags are commonplace in the Himalayas, I believe their spiritual meaning can be appreciated in alpine places across the world. For those of us whose hearts are ever drawn to the wild, all mountains are sacred places.

Hello, I'm producing a chapbook of my Tibet-related writings and wonder if it would be possible to use the beautiful main photo on your tumblr (the one to the right of this inquiry box) on the cover of the book. Could you let me know? Many thanks and looking forward to hearing from you. Ann Tashi Slater
None of the photos that are on my tumblr belong to me! So to me, it’s fine, but I’m not the person to ask! I’m not sure the original source of the picture you’re talking about, but it’s likely that I found it on Flickr - you can find a lot of beautiful prayer flag photos on flickr or 500px, and contact the photographer directly!
