The 4 above posters show 4 different stories and 4 different reasons why students commit suicide.
Failed relationships
Financial issues
Parental pressure
Self pressure
These are the top 4 reasons according to studies why children commit suicide. Each of these stories show that no matter how hard life is, never give up. Suicide is not the answer. That there are always people around you who are more than happy to help. All you have to do is ask. If you don't feel comfortable talking to someone you are well acquainted with there are helpline numbers available too.

Week 7: Submissions...Submissions...Submissions...
On monday we gave her the final laxmi poster along with the tagline 'khazne ki roshni, laxmi ka andaaz, aaye dekhe kya hai paiso ka raaz.' She approved it and now we were left with our final posters. I gave her the news about the 26 suicides that have happened in Kota, Rajasthan. All of these suicides were of students who were preparing for JEE or NEET. She found it interesting and approved it. I was asked to do a deeper research and find out the main cause behind this. According to a study, one of the main reasons behind this is failed romantic relationships. Our profesor checked my research and told me to start ideating. She gave me the idea of a story/ a conversation.
For the next 2 days I was busy ideating. I came up with the idea of depicting the 4 main reasons why students commit suicide and decided to write a short story on them. For the 5th and final poster I would make it my main poster giving the message that states that they were not alone and also listing the helpline number and site.
On Thursday I gave our professor the first draft of the main poster which got rejected. But, she liked the illustration done. She told me that the tagline In used "this too shall pass" shows toxic positivity. She went on to tell me that sometimes when people are struggling they just need someone by their side to listen to them or just be with them for emotional support. I took her feedback and continued to work on it.
Our class on friday was cancelled so I did my work on the weekend and gave it to her for review on sunday. She gave me the feedback that I should use the anti- suicide ribbon more significantly. She also told me to shorten the text as well as to change the overall layout.
Today after showing her the changes she further told me align the text and not keep it stuck to the borders. Today marked the end of our Poster design class. I would be lying if I said that I won't miss it. I learnt a lot about type, colors and fonts in this class. I understood the importance of feedbacks and how much they can help you. I had a lot of fun in this module and hope that the other modules after this one are just as fun.

Week 6: Review…Review…Review…
That monday we did not have a class as it was a public holiday. When we came on Tuesday we were expected to show our know your classmate poster for its final submission. When the professor saw mine, she stared at me and I immediately knew that I had to redo it. ( I personally too hated it) She gave me an extension till the next morning to submit a revised version of it to her. I gave her a news article about the Delhi Jal Daan issue and she told me that corruption is already a pretty commonly addressed issue. I started researching all over again.
On wednesday I showed her the final know your classmate poster and got it approved. We then began working on our group project submission as it was the next day. We started editing our type poster and did all the changes our professor asked us to do. Later that day we went to get our edited laxmi print out as well as our type poster print.
On thursday, we submitted our type poster and our professor told us to make minor changes in the font again. She asked to bring the price tag, receipt and credit card and told us to resize it in its original sizes and bring it again tomorrow. We later that edited it and then started working on the final draft of our laxmi poster.
On friday, we came to class early and worked on our laxmi poster. We also added, lights and the curtains. We waited till the end to show her our laxmi poster as well as the newly printed typographic poster. She asked us to add a tagline that will give the message that money can buy happiness on the typographic poster. For the laxmi poster she said the same thing, that it is need of a tagline. That same day we brainstormed for ideas for the tagline of the type poster and came up with 'peek at your yourself, peek at wallet, would you rather cry in a bicycle or a private jet.' She approved it and asked us to add it to the digital version. She gave us an extension for the laxmi poster.

Week 5: Research…Research…Research…
On monday we researched the different currently trending news and tried to give our professor our news. She later gave us a lecture on how the research is supposed to be done and discussed with us the different news we were to research on. She gave us the breakdown of how the final weeks were going to go and how she was going to grade us. She gave us a deadline for when the research was to be submitted, along with the ideas, then the initial posters and finally the final posters. 
On Tuesday and Wednesday we solely researched the news articles and tried to get our news approved. Our professor told us to first start with mind mapping if we were having a difficult time doing research. She told us to narrow it down and then research about it. I researched about the delhi jal daan corruption case, the news about an andra man arrested for slavery and also the air quality index. But since the last topic was already taken by someone, I had to come up with some new news.
Since we had the HCI conference this was it for the classes for this week.

Week 4: Sabse bada rupaiya
On monday we did the first illustration for the poster and got it printed on A1 paper. We got the black chart paper and since we had a class review that day, we placed it on the chart paper and explained our classmates the idea. Their job was to say anything against our poster and we were to argue back and show them why we are right. During this, the main feedback we got was that it shouldn’t look like the hands (which we were showing trying to grab the coins dropping from laxmi’s hands) are trying to touch her/ attack her. We were also told to add more bling to our Laxmi illustration. Our professor also suggested that we get metallic prints.
From this day onwards till Thursday we were only working on our poster, constantly taking prints and making changes when required. We tried to get all our elements ready by Wednesday and on Thursday we assembled it all together. We had taken the print of the hands, made coins using gold paper and made it 3D by sticking two coins together. We also got our tagline printed and also got bills, receipts and money notes printed. We put it all together and made it pop out by sticking it on thermocol blocks. We kept it in the class and decided to stick the mirror the next day.
The next day as it was the day before the holidays began a lot of the children had already gone along with two partners. I showed the poster to our professor and she gave the feedback saying that the anatomy needs to be fixed a little, bling needs to be added, to change the color of the sofa and also add curtains and lights around the border and text. Other than that we were asked to think about our final 5 poster ideas which were going to be based on current trending news articles topics. This was it for us before the break.

Week 3: The week our classes resumed
On 31st (tuesday), the day our classes resumed, our group showed our professor the typographic poster and she gave us more changes. She asked us to have meaning in the barcode number and that we should also add one common element that connects the 3 posters. She also asked me to change my font again and to reduce the font size of the letters as they were getting more attention than the main slogan.
The very next day she gave us our next assignment. This too was a part of the group assignment itself. We were told to make an interactive poster. The brief was that we could either continue with the same concept and make the poster. We also had the option of each of us making one each or all of us together making one single poster. We decided to continue with the same concept and all decided to make one poster together. 
On Thursday, we further researched about our concept and we decided to come with a new tagline. We researched gods and how in each culture which god is considered/related to money. We finally decided to go ahead with the goddess Laxmi as she represents wealth in the hindu culture. We decided that we wanted to show Laxmi in a modern way and how we were going to place all the other elements like coins and notes around her. Our interactive element was the mirror. We were going to cut out Laxmi’s face and help show people the true power of money.
On Friday we showed our professor the initial ideation and research. She approved it and we started working on finding ourselves a suitable tagline. In the meantime, she asked us to bring our know your classmate posters and she gave us feedback about it. She asked me to change my font as well as make changes to the illustration. After this we asked her help to come up with a tagline when she suggested we look at hindi song lyrics. We ended up with a few options like ‘jai, jai, money,’ and ‘cash meri aankhon mein,’ when we found ‘sabse bada rupaiya.’ We went ahead with the last one as it was very suitable for our poster.

Week 2: Introduction to the group project
This week started off with us presenting a mind map on the words we think related to power. This was a group project. We worked on the weekend making the mindmap digitally and gave our presentation on Monday. Our professor told us to focus on one aspect and start further mind mapping. We ended up choosing the power of money and started building our concept around it.
The next day we continued to ideate, when we came up with the concept of capitalism. We presented our concept to our professor and said that we would be working on the concept that ‘capitalism is a boon.’ We told her that since people think that money can’t buy happiness, we will make our posters such that the message coming across is that money can buy happiness.
Later that day we stayed back and ideated for the posters. As this was a typographic poster, we were only allowed to use type. Any type of image/ illustration was not allowed. The very same day, we had the submission of our know your classmate poster. (this one too, turned out to be horrible)
On wednesday, we gave our first draft for the typographic poster but it did not turn out as we wanted it to and our professor gave us a redo. We then came up with the idea of shopping and how it does give people happiness. So we each (we were a group of 3) decided to make 1 element each that depicted shopping. I made a price tag, whereas the other 2 made a receipt and a black credit card. We went with the #moneycanbuyhappiness and used song lyrics based on money as a medium to convey our messages. We then showed this idea to our professor who approved it and asked us to show the first draft the next day.
On thursday this was the last class we had of this module for the time being. During this class we made the 1st draft of our posters and showed it to her. She told us each to make some changes like the font, its size, the overall layout, etc. We were then asked to work on these posters and submit it to her by the 31st of october which was the date when the classes resumed.

Week 1: #KnowYourClassmate
This week we started with our important class of the entire semester called ‘project 1- poster’.
We were introduced to our professor Milly Singh ma’am. She started the class with her introduction and went on to ask us about ourselves. We later recapped everything we did in our foundation year and in the end we were given our very first assignment. We were paired up with our classmates and were asked to interact with them and to make a poster on them. The outcome of this assignment was for us to know our classmates better and build better relations with them.

The next day we were asked to show our ideations and later on ma’am went on to recap everything we had done until now in our course. She talked in depth about colors and typography. She told us what were jarring boundaries in color as well as what color psychology means. In typography we discussed the different typefaces like serif, sans serif, decorative etc. She asked us to research some fonts and typographers. This was a very informative session for me as I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about color and some of the terms were new to me. It was an interactive session with her asking us questions and us trying our very best to answer.

On wednesday, we further discussed typography and she tested our research by dividing us into teams and we played a game where we were asked to identify the fonts put up on the board. This was a fun and again an interactive session. Here I learned ways in which I can identify the fonts and some new fonts.
On Thursday, we discussed our ideas for the poster with ma’am. She asked us to explain our ideas and how they represented our partner. She further gave us pointers on how we can improve our ideas and told us to finish the poster by friday. I presented her 5 of my ideas and she told me that she liked 2 of them and told me how instead of showing 3 different illustrations I can just show one.

On friday, we were asked to go get prints of our posters. While our classmates went and got the prints, she asked us to write power on the board and then asked us to further write synonyms related to it. When they returned with the prints she asked us to put up our posters and asked everyone for their input on everyone’s posters. She asked us to be brutal when evaluating our own work as well as our classmates' works as that will help us be better prepared when we go to the industry. She was honest when she gave all of us our reviews. Honestly, I wasn't myself happy with what I had put up so when she came to my poster and told me that it looked like a powerpoint presentation I didn’t mind it one bit as it was the truth. She further gave me points on where I can improve and later took us to the board where we had synonyms to the word power. Later, we went back to the board where we wrote the synonyms of power and she gave us a brief about what we were supposed to do. She asked us to form a group of 2 or 4 people and make a poster on ‘power’. But before that we were asked to mindmap 4 types of powers and further classify them if needed. (Ps. the poster was too horrible to put on here.)
