A WIP. I’m taking this online class and the assignment is to take three random words and use them to draw a female figure. My words were lavender, basket and straw hat.
Sketch, line art and base color are done! Next is the actual painting part. I avoid color and backgrounds like the plague so we’ll see how it goes. 😬

A few weeks ago the amazing @alemanriq drew a Héctor in my art style (if you can call my inconsistent scribbles a “style”). Now that my Zine piece is done I was able to find the time to color it!

Cinched both of their waists to emphasize their skeleton-ness. And I shaded Héctor’s outfit!
I think I’m going to draw Miguel next.

Screenshots from the game I made for my capstone project. It’s called Fern and The Serpent, it has two levels and a boss fight, and I made it in Unity.

Reference sheet for Héctor Rivera. The sweater is based off of the one he wears in a concept piece. The neckerchief is the same one from the film. And while the Pixar team may have been all about “More Bones More Glory”, my philosophy is “The Less Bones I Have To Draw The Better”.
Next up…. Imelda!
