Find A Mentor! 🌟
Starting a new job can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to figure out the ropes on your own. As someone who is still on the journey of finding a mentor, I've come to realize just how important this relationship can be for personal and professional growth. 💡
Many of us might confuse a mentor with a trainer, but there's a significant difference:
Trainers are incredible for teaching you the how-to of tasks, the specific skills you need to succeed in your role. Their focus is on short-term, specific goals.
Mentors, on the other hand, are there for the long haul. They provide guidance, support, and wisdom based on their own experiences. Their focus is on helping you grow, not just in your job but in your career and life as a whole. 📈
If you're just starting out, here's why you should actively seek out a mentor:
Personalized Guidance: A mentor knows your strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. They can provide tailored advice that a one-size-fits-all training session can't offer.
Career Growth: Mentors have been in your shoes and know the hurdles you'll face. They can help you navigate challenges, make better decisions, and avoid common pitfalls.
Networking Opportunities: A mentor can introduce you to their network, opening doors to new opportunities you might not have access to otherwise.
Support System: Having someone who believes in you and your potential can make all the difference when you're feeling lost or unsure.
How to Find a Mentor:
Identify Your Goals: What do you want to achieve in your career? Knowing your goals will help you find someone who aligns with them.
Look Around You: Mentors don't have to be people in senior positions. Sometimes, peers or colleagues in different departments can offer valuable insights.
Be Proactive: Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for guidance. Most people are happy to share their experiences and help others succeed.
Build Relationships: Mentorship is not just about asking for advice but also about building a trusting relationship. Take the time to get to know your potential mentor and let them get to know you.
In conclusion, whether you're fresh out of college or stepping into a new role, finding a mentor can be one of the most impactful decisions you make. While I’m still on the lookout for my own mentor, I believe the journey of finding one is just as valuable as the relationship itself. 🚀
Let’s connect and support each other in finding the right guidance. If you've already found a mentor, I’d love to hear your story! 🤝

#Interesting one ...✨
Ishaan Awasthi × Van Gogh. The tale of two misunderstood geniuses.
He was a serious, quiet, and reflective boy who drew. He lacked confidence, however, but showed extreme enthusiasm for certain things. Art was one of those. Before turning to art, he struggled with illness and isolation. In the above sentences, 'he' is both Van Gogh and Ishaan Awasthi, I must make that clear. There is an uncanny similarity between the two. For instance, Ishaan is a troubled child but brings the best out of him when he is in his own comfort just like Van Gogh who painted this particular painting 'Starry Night' while he was in the mental asylum.
P.S. After years of mental illness, depression, and poverty, Van Gogh committed suicide at the age of 37.
