I replayed the demo of the game to make these Kuras sprite masks. When I was looking at his design, I had an idea of how detailed the character illustrations in this game are . . . BUT DEAR LORD I was not prepared for how long this would take AND how much work this would be.

The design has so many overlapping details, especially the with the hair that flows down his back,. That made this character a literal pain to mask out. At some point I was debating if I should give up 😅😅 But in the end, I didn't and it's finally done and over it! (Also, I accidentally made a sprite of him with one eye closed that to my knowledge isn't in the demo, but it looked cool so I left it there . . . )

{This sprite compilation is made for those that enjoy editing and want to make fan content. In no way am I trying to claim that this belongs to me, the only thing that belongs to me is the editing to separate him from the background}

Did I start this all the way back during mermay? Yes. Did I only just finish it now halfway through June? Also yes. Did I start it simply because I wanted an excuse to draw shirtless Ais? Also yes. = v =;

You know personally I'm not a huge fan of octopus mermaids but I had to do it for Ais. It felt necessary given his... circumstances. Yes, I made all his accessories into ocean related stuff like shells and seaweed. I also made his horns into crab claws u v u
