Izuna took it upon himself to translate Tobirama's deadpan expressions.

"No he is not angry, he didn't have his coffee yet." "He thinks you are an idiot." "He'd love to murder you but it's too early in the morning."

He does it so often everyone believes he can read Tobirama like an open book.

In reality, Tobirama simply doesn't correct Izuna because he finds his made up lies funny and ever since Izuna started he doesn't need to interact with people he doesn't want to.

One of those "Tobirama finds Madara's chakra comforting" aus but its played straight, with an as close to canon, accurately awful man that he is Tobirama. And the entire fic is just him being really, really mad about it.

He's in his lab trying and failing to somehow replicate Madara's chakra signature, or bar that, just an Uchiha chakra signature

Madara falls asleep at his desk and wakes up to Tobirama glaring silently at him not even a foot away. When he jerks up and demands to know if he can help him, Tobirama just narrows his eyes further and let's out a very terse "no." Before spinning around and marching off

Tobirama refuses to admit he finds Madara, or any Uchiha's chakra comfortable under pain of death, to literally anyone (including his brother) so he's just kind of sulking around being a fucking freak, staring at Madara extra hard sometimes then turning away, angry at seemingly just looking at him (accurate but he's also just mad with himself)

Tobirama battling his own pride to put himself in increasingly convoluted situations to be in general proximity with Madara (who, to be clear, he still greatly dislikes)

He keeps swinging between "I'm going fucking insane, what is WRONG with me?? This is beneath me, this is ridiculous! If anyone finds out I will be forced to kill myself out of shame" and mapping out a 10 step plan to somehow "accidentally" lock himself and Madara in a closet together, prefferably in a way that makes it look like it's Madara's fault

Tobirama ends up somehow stealing a portion of Madara's chakra (don't ask how that works) and making a little chakra construct out of it to keep in his lab and use like a stress toy (but it can only last so long, especially when he keeps squeezing it till it explodes every time he's even mildly stressed or annoyed)

Meanwhile Madara is asking Hashirama what the actual fuck is wrong with his brother and Hashirama is going "oh no he's was born like that actually"

one of the greatest/funniest things about being a mdtb shipper is that you simply cannot explain it to a random passerby.

Like okay so there is this very popular show, called Naruto about a little ninja/shinobi guy who is shunned by his entire village for reasons yet to be revealed but despite this wants to prove himself to them and become their super ninja leader president or Hokage, the show follows him, a girl he has a crush on, a traumatized boy with special magic eyes, and their chronically late sensei. This show is in two parts and has 720 total episodes, many of which are filler - so as for the ship: you meet Tobirama first... sort of, for like a couple of minutes in episode 69 and then don't see him again for another 521 episodes, as for Madara well we don't actually meet him until episode 322 of the second part (so 542 episodes in), the two of them do not appear on screen at the same time until episode 367 of part 2 (so 587 episodes in), which notably takes place in a flashback because - surprise every time we have seen either of them up to this point (which mind you is barely at all) they have actually been dead/reanimated corpses. Including both flashbacks and reanimation they talk to each other maybe a total of three times (and that is definitely a generous guess). Madara for sure most definitely hates Tobirama because Tobirama killed Madara's last living brother back when they were both alive and fighting on opposite sides of a war between their two clans. Madara is very unpersonable and only ever had one friend, that friend is Tobirama's older brother - his most displayed character trait is that he is very very strong, with a LOT of chakra and loves a good fight - also he is another person with super special magic eyes. Tobirama is also seemingly pretty unpersonable, and his biggest character trait is that he has the mind of a jurassic park scientist which he uses to create many questionable or chakra intensive jutsus (including the one that reanimated the both of them), he is also implied to be one of the greatest sensors of all time and appears to hold a big grudge against Madara's clan. so anywa-

oh? what? why do I ship it? Well one day i was reading Naruto fics and stumbled across a Mdtb fic and it was such a masterpiece that I kept reading more and more bc the mdtb fic game is honestly S tier.

Madatobi where tobirama starts teaching one (1) uchiha child by acedent and then that child starts bringing other uchiha children to be taught and suddenly madara realizes its too silent in the clan compound and realizes the children are not there, so he goes looking and holy shit whats the white demon doing, whys he teaching our children, hes not even teaching them wrong, i want to be mad at this situation but i cant because hes so good with children and nice... Cut to 3 months later amd half of the uchiha clan adults are just there watching tobirama from the treeline

My original setting for Think of Me was after a bunch of clans had already moved into Konoha, and Tobirama was going to have a horde of children following him around as his self-proclaimed students including Uchiha Kagami, which catches Madara’s notice.

The plot has since shifted but I left minor things like Hiruzen’s monkey Shadow in as a random kid’s Shadow playing ninja at night :)

i imagine he mostly wears blues as a personal pallete, and browns + golds as a reference to the senju. he favors nature-themed plant focused patterns, also in reference to the senju. it's a sweeter style then people expect for him, but he really does like the artwork.

secretly he wishes he could wear water-themed patterns, but there are very few occasions he could depart from the senju aesthetics so strongly.

kimono in hashiramas closet: he exclusively wears greens, golds, and browns, usually with plant patterns. his style is much more specific given his position as clan head.

after he marries mito, pinks and reds creep into his closet...

i imagine his color pallete sticks to dark blues, blacks, and reds. he favors simple bold geometric patterns for his personal outfits, but for formal occasions that reflect on the uchiha he wears complex and detailed pieces to show off the uchiha wealth. he mostly avoids plant-prints, and has a soft spot for fan prints for obvious reasons.

secretly he wishes he could wear a much wider color range, especially brighter colors.
