Hello, do the food retextures still work for the Cottage living patch? I have used all of them for years and I don't think they're working for me now.
I haven’t looked into it, but from all the changes that have been made to food in the past, they probably don’t. I think all of my old cc has stopped working by now and I don‘t really have the time to update it either, which I sometimes regret since I liked modding.
I am glad you enjoyed my foodmods though and if anyone else is interested in updating them, they are more than welcome to do so.

The butterfly and fish camping chairs from Outdoor Retreat are some of my favorite items in the game - and so useful, chairs your sim can put in their inventory! Unfortunately, none of the table swatches looked good with the pink butterfly and so I made a little camping set:
Dining Table Parent/Child: Added some colourful swatches to the Pocket Puter Folding Table and made a small version of the table. The parent object is needed for the child object to work. Requires: OR
Single Bed: a recolour of the basegame cot, livedragable and just as uncomfortable as the original. Cutting board: Your plain old cutting board as a display that keeps food fresh for longer.
Tartan Tarp: A colourful Tarp your sims can take along on their outdoor adventures. Requires: OR
Cereal box: An override of the OR cereal box to make it functional, will serve tomato soup, cereals and peas to an added slot. Requires: OR
Cooler: A fancy little cooler serving honeycake, plum soda and caviar crackers. Because one of my most beloved sims is a snob who demanded fancy snacks. Requires: OR, GF, EL, SE
Tea tray: A little tray which will serve you Matcha, Mate, Hot Horchata and Sakura Tea. Because the tea brewer is a thing of evil. Requires: SE, JA, CL, IL Cooking: An override for the condiments, which will now function as a recipe book that will allow your sims to prepare pet food on the grill. While playing off the grid your sim will also gain access to off the grid recipes for the OR dishes and doughnuts. Requires: OR, GTW, CD You can download the above on simfileshare, please let me know if something doesn't work as intended.

Here's a first preview of the café I mentioned yesterday. It has an open study area in the first floor - for all those students and freelancers who want to benefit from the lot's excellent wifi.
Below some more pictures of my little cottage and Darrel taking the dog for a run - I hope that we will one day be able to swim in the sea in Brindleton Bay - wouldn't that be great?

After the new pack was announced, I built a little cottage in Brindleton Bay. It's off-the-grit so after playing for half a sim day I started building again - a library/café in Brindleton Bay's town center so Darrel has a place to recharge his computer. If you like the cottage, you can download it from the gallery. Please turn bb.moveobjects on before placement.

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well and maybe have a moment to read about a new little project, the latest game pack inspired me to start.
When playing with the new interior decorator career, I quickly discovered that renovating EA builds gets frustrating if you aren't allowed to add that missing, but that renovating carefully cluttered builds from the gallery doesn't feel too rewarding either. The houses I had most fun renovating were the quirky ones, the ones that aren't necessarily bad but have a bit of character and a background story to them.
So here is my first little story build and the Sims who live in it, lightly cluttered and with some space for an additional bedroom or a walk-in closet. If you want to add them to your game, simply look for #readyforrenovation on the gallery and if you want to join in and add your own story-based renovation challenges, please feel free to use the tag as well.
Lot: Dachshund's Creek Description: This cute cottage offers easy access to the creek below making it the perfect home for a nature-loving sim and their beloved pet - but maybe it could do with some new plumbing or a walk-in closet? Please, turn bb.moveobjects on before placement. Tags: #basicstyle #basic #brindletonbay #dachshundscreek #readyforrenovation Packs: Cats and Dogs
Household: The Ghost and Mr Muir Description: When Lucas moved to Brindleton Bay to finish his latest novel about Rex, the dog detective, he was expecting peace, quiet and bad wifi. What he didn't expect were horrible interior design and a very opinionated ghost. Will Lucas and Gene find a way to get along - and settle on a style for their cottage? Lucas and Gene's cottage at Dachshund's Creek can be found in my gallery. Tags: #Dachshund #ghost #ghostsim #deathbycowplant #writer #gardener #readyforrenovation Packs: Cats and Dogs (The Gallery insists, there's GTW in it too)

Winter in Glimmerbrook. The boys are jogging with their familiars, Grace is doing her homework in the kitchen and Gemma is plain exhausted from school - all the while the neighbourhood is looking sereen under a thick blanket of snow.

Grace has by now decided to make protecting Granit Falls and the environment of the Brindleton Bay area the purpose of her witchy life, so she signed up for the Communications Degree at the university. Darrel decided to join her and get a degree in Literature - to help his writing and to make his mother happy. (Minerva has taken to crashing Darrel and Tomax’s dates all of a sudden - I think, she isn’t pleased with her son, his boyfriend or both. As you can see, she sat down at their table and kept chatting with Candy and Moira at the bar - so rude!)
On campus, Grace (and I) made a shocking discovery: What you can see on the cafeteria item doesn’t reflect what you can actually order! It was disapointing, really. So, in order to rectify these unbearable pains of Tantalos (aka showing Ramen and serving Spaghetti), Grace’s first good cause wasn’t to save the trees, but to start a student run bistro on campus, with freshly cooked meals from home-grown harvestables.
To make use of the cute cafeteria item, I converted it into a bar with some refrigirated slots. It still needs some tweaking and unfortunately I cloned a bar with light.

Grace on the other hand isn’t too happy with her career in IT-Support. Or maybe I should rephrase that: I am not very happy with her career in IT-Support. Unless I remember to make her flirt with the co-workers (flirty is her prefered work-mood - it might be related to J. Huntington III) she comes home too exhausted to do anything but play a round of bibliblocks before bed. So she took the opportunity to research different job-options during our day trip to Britechester.

I took a look at the university neighbourhood today, but haven’t gotten around to actually play with the expansion a lot. Tomax and Darrel are fine without a degree, I think. Darrel is successful enough in his freelancer career; he became a mystery writer after exposing the company he worked for embezzlement and now writes hardboiled detective novels about a P.I. working in the Brindleton Bay area. Tomax was miserable the whole time they visited the new neighbourhood, because there were just so so many people. He would be totally miserable spending even mor time there. Both of them enjoy the new soccer ball though, it’s their new favorite pasttime if I leave them unattended for a while. As you can see, their familiars don’t have the slightest ambition to become university dogs either.

Brindleton Bay Towncenter The small red building is the Happy Hamster Hospital, a small veterinary clinic. The city block on the right is set up to contain a bar, a gym and a day spa, so I can easily switch the lot type to suit what my sims are up to. The other lot is called Catwalk Corner, a retail lot with several small stores. I am okay with how everything looks from the outside and am currently struggeling with the interiors.

The Amicable Acolytes plus Gemma and Darrel are currently my favorite Sims in the game. I generally like playing with the premades but those 4 are very entertaining in the way they interact with each other in my game. Darrel moved into the spare bedroom soon after he and Tomax became a couple and I moved in Gemma a little later, because her bio suggested that she and her mom might clash heads when left alone. Gemma is currently living in the tower. Darrel and Tomax might not start the game as friends, but once I got them talking to each other, they filled their relationship bar pretty quickly. They just kept chatting without need for encouragement. They became romantically involved after I tried out all the potions Grace was mixing and I turned them into a couple, because Darrel’s fiancée with her cheerful clumsiness was a bit too nice a sim for my taste anyway (of course, I now feel bad for her and ponder how I could give her a nice life too - it’s a curse) and they turned out to be very cute together. Being an outdoorsy loner Tomax generally flees the venu after the first group-activity, whenever the household visits a community lot. A bit later Darrel will go looking for him and I’ll find them playing chess or chatting somewhere in the neighbourhood. It’s very sweet. I have never had a sim-couple being this consistently drawn to each other before and I wonder if it has anything to do with having completed the Soulmate-Aspiration.

A few more pictures from Brindleton Bay: While moving them, I wanted to keep the Behr sisters story that they moved due to inherited a house, so I am building them a totally unfashionable little cottage with a weirdly missmatched furniture.Followed by some pictures from town center and an extra cheap fish-restaurant by the harbour, which I am not very happy with.

I decided that Brindleton Bay is the closest town to Glimmerbrook and Forgotten Hollow, which are both in the woods leading up to Granite Falls. So it’s here where sims meet for dates, use the gym or go shopping. Since Gemma Charm became friends with Yuki Behr, Wolfgang Munch and Cassandra Goth in school, I moved the Goths to Forgotten Hollow and the Munchs and Behr sisters to Brindleton Bay. The bar in progress is where the teens hang out - Alexander decided to tag along.

Amicable Abode The Amicable Acolytes moved into their new home - and of course it was raining, when they did. The new house features personalized rooms for Grace and Tomax, a small herb-garden for Tomax, a potion-room for Grace and a sunroom for everyone - because everybody loves sunrooms, right? One of the first-floor rooms currently suffers from severe water-damage, but if you fix it up, it could easily be turned into a study or another bedroom or a library ....

My freelancers sometimes not change out of their sleepware the whole day and only take a nap, when they can’t get any coffee. Talking about realism.
