Hello Tumblr! I've been on a good month and 1/2 break from most social medias to recuperate and support myself. I am doing so much better, so hopefully I can come back and start posting some more positivity again!
Also, September is Deaf Awareness Month! I'll be making a separate post discussing the deaf community and communication as a whole in a separate post later this week.
Chow!

I made this account July 31, 2022. 2 full years ago. Time has flown by so quickly. I had just recently turned 15 years old and was about to enter my freshmen year in highschool. Now, I'm 17 years old and getting ready for my first day as a Junior in highschool. I've learned a lot over this short (or long) amount of time. Notice that I don't get a lot of notes, or reposts or followers, and that's ok. That was never my intention. I have absolutely adored posting here. Even between my long pauses.
To be completely frank, I made this account with more selfish desires in mind.
I was in a really dark place mentally. I was sleeping on the floor, my living space was a wreck, my grades had plummeted, and my friend group was non-existent. I was falling into a drug habit. I was depressed and suicidal. I wanted to end it all, I wanted to die. I felt alone and I felt scared. I made this account in the dead of night on July 31st while high, because it all just felt too much. I wanted to distract myself. This account was made with the intention of telling myself these things. I wanted to be told that I was loved and that I mattered.
The name positivelypositive4u, was initially a third person way of saying me. I pretended that I wasn't this account so I could feel like someone cared about me.
Now, 2 whole years later, I'm still in a hole. But now, I'm in my own room with a bed and I recently did a huge cleanup. I *almost* have all A's. I want to make it known that this for everyone, not me anymore. I'm still not well inside, but I hope that whoever reads this, I care.
I wrote this April 3rd of 2024. So, not quite the date, but I have set up to be sent 12 AM of July 31st in case I don't make it till then.

Sorry that I haven't been doing the sexuality/gender of the day for the last few days. These past few days have been a little rough and I haven't had the energy to update. I'll start catching up today.

Happy Pride Month!
I decided that for pride month, I'd choose a sexuality or gender identity for each day of the month!
It will follow a most well known- to lesser known identities/misunderstood ones.
For June 1st, I thought that it would be good to start off with explaining Pride Month as a whole.
Pride Month was started as a commemoration for the Stonewall riots in June of 1969. Stonewall was started when a group of NYC police officers raided The Stonewall Inn, which was a gay club. The police entry stirred up riots as Patrons and employees were removed from the premise. This caused multi-day protests and more riots. Stonewall snowballed the Gay Rights movement of the 70's.
Prior to Stonewall, LGBTQ people were NOT welcome to express themselves. In fact, being homosexual was on the DSM at the time. Gay-marriage wasn't a thing, and the country was hard-set on the nuclear family structure.
Places like Stonewall served as a social refuge for gay and queer people, where they could feel comfortable and express themselves.
In 1999, then President, Bill Clinton was the one to officially declare the month of June as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month. Since then, Pride Month has evolved and morphed and now encompasses the whole of the LGBTQ.

Today, May 27th marks Memorial day.
Celebrate the hard and efforful work of all who've served in the military, especially those who've passed.
One more word on this, please remember to remember the one who served who did not belong in a Christian denomination. (Hinduism, Atheism, Judaism, etc.) Everyone deserves recognition without being lumped into a majority category.
It's important to fight for everyone's religious beliefs, now that many of these people who we remember have passed and can no longer fight.
Everyone deserves to be honored their way.
Happy memorial day!

May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia!
(or just IDAHOBIT)
What is IDAHOBIT?
it's a day to coordinate special events to help raise awareness against anti-LGBTQ laws and discrimination.
It was created in 2004 to draw attention to the violence that queer-folk endure.
Why May 17th?
It was chosen because in 1990, may 17th was the day that being gay was removed from the DSM after having been classified as a mental disorder in DSM's since the DSM's first publications back in 1952!
Don't forget to hug your queer friends tight and to spread the love!
🏳️‍🌈♥️🏳️‍⚧️⚧️
Happy May 17th everyone!

As they say, April showers bring May flowers.
I've always found that quote so interesting.
Through the hardships of life, you can always find something amazing in the end.
You're excited to go outside. you have a wonderful picnic planned and everything. Right as you're about to leave, it starts raining, really really hard.
At first, this feels like such a bummer. "Aw man, I packed all this stuff and I don't even get to do my picnic??" But, in the rain, something was wonderful. Instead, you had an indoor picnic! You watched a movie with your partner and you even decided to jump out in the rain and play around like kids again.
That rain finally subsides, and there's this weird feeling. This, "Aw man" feeling again.
As April leaves us, let's see what May brings.
The month of May is most known for being Mental Health Awareness Month!
What does that mean?
Mental Health Awareness Month brings awareness to everyone's mental health, man or woman!
Everyone deserves the resources and support necessary to get through the day!

Today, April 12th is the Day of Silence. Today sheds light on what LGBTQ youth go through in their daily lives. Created 1996, it focuses on the school system and how it treats our youth.
Keep your head held high kiddos, you're worth more than you know. You're worth everything to me.

JUST because Women's month is over, does NOT mean to stop celebrating and fighting for our rights and our places in the world. We are strong, we are resilient and we will NOT be silenced any longer!
Fight and continue to fight for as long as women exist!
She can't let people demean us and put us in places where we don't belong. It is completely valid to want to cook, clean and care for a family if that's what you wish, but it's also valid to want to stay child free and relationship free. Don't be held back from achieving your dreams just because you were born with this sex.
Remember these facts!
-Women do 66% of the world's work.
-Women own 1% of the world's property.
-14 Million girls (children) were child brides last year.
-Child birth is the leading cause for girls aged 15-19
-60 Million girls are assaulted every year on their way to school
-70 Million girls 9-12 do not attend school.
Do not let the end of March fool you
I love every woman. ♥️
