Mistakenly touched my weenor after crushing up a chili pepper for my Ramen honestly not as painful as one would expect more of a gentle heat much like the pleasant burn of cayenne in a spiced coffee or even much like . A chili crushed up in a bowl of delicious Ramen. Much food for thought

The “Apparently Not” test has been very helpful for me in arguments with myself and others as a way to avoid misdirection or attempts to set the discussion on someone else’s footing. When someone makes an absurd or contradictory claim the hope is often that you can get muddled in the details. It’s like the debate equivalent of flanking you and hoping you won’t notice that the flanking cavalry charge is actually just a herd of sheep with pointy sticks taped to them.
“Our company is devoted to safety and…”
Apparently not! You’re on the news because your employees were killed by unsafe regulations. So what are you going to do about that?
“America is better than this, we’re gonna stop it from…”
Apparently not! America has already let it happen. So, how do we accept this and adjust our politics and actions accordingly?

This was shared as a "bad" joke but I was so charmed by it I've been thinking about it for days.

One of the best writing advice I have gotten in all the months I have been writing is "if you can't go anywhere from a sentence, the problem isn't in you, it's in the last sentence." and I'm mad because it works so well and barely anyone talks about it. If you're stuck at a line, go back. Backspace those last two lines and write it from another angle or take it to some other route. You're stuck because you thought up to that exact sentence and nothing after that. Well, delete that sentence, make your brain think because the dead end is gone. It has worked wonders for me for so long it's unreal

'People are panicking about AI tools the same way they did when the calculator was invented, stop worrying' cannot stress enough the calculator did not forcibly pervade every aspect of our lives, has such a low error rate it's a statistical anomaly when it does happen, isn't built on mass plagiarism, and does not obliterate the fucking environment when you use it. Be so fucking serious right now

immortality as theft (you have to steal life from something else) immortality as parasitism (there is something else inside You that is keeping you alive and you become less of yourself more and more the longer it stays in you) immortality as violence (everything is trying to kill you because everything is supposed to die and the universe will always try to find a way to right the wrong that is You) you understand
