Submission Rules
Whenever you submit a map, link the Steam Workshop page. Please delete the “Steam Workshop::” part as well, so we just see the map name.
Please select whatever tags apply to your map when submitting
You’re free to submit maps by other users, but be sure to give credit
Only submit maps that have not been submitted yet. If you’re not sure, go ahead and submit, and I’ll do my best to check and see if it’s been submitted.
If you’ve already submitted a map, but have since updated it and want to show how you’ve changed it, that’s also fine, you can upload it a second time. Just make sure to mention it, and how you’ve changed things since then
Please provide a brief description of your map in your submission. It can be copied from the description of the map in the Steam bio if you want, and it doesn’t need to be extensive and long, but it’s nice to get an idea of how easy the map is, what elements it uses and whether it has a certain theme, like Old Aperture or Overgrown.
If your map was made using BEEMOD or Hammer, please mention it
Don’t be overly negative on other users for their maps. Mapmaking is an activity that takes some learning and trial + error, and people won’t want to try and improve their maps if they feel that they’re just going to get bullied for even trying to make them at all. All criticism needs to be constructive.
Aperture Tag and Thinking With Time Machine maps are also allowed, but please mention what game it’s for when uploading one.
Same is true for Co-Op maps
Feel free to check out some guides on making maps. Here’s a good one to start, and here’s a good Hammer tutorial.
