really love imagining a bunch a kids and teens on their pokemon journeys staying the night on the couches and floors in the lobbies of pokemon centers, having long talks about their experiences and feelings sharing funny and scary stories and myths about legendaries and trading items and sharing TMs along with sugary snacks and pokedex chargers all while their pokemon are out of their pokeballs and all bundled up in blankets sleeping soundly next to their trainers while they stare up at the stars shining through the glass ceiling over their heads

Alternate Dex Entries for Shiny Pokemon!

A long time ago, I saw a post somewhere asking what it would be like if Shiny Pokemon had their own Pokedex entries. Today, I stumbled across the list of entries I came up with:

As feared as Absol were in ancient times, Shiny Absol were feared even more. They were considered an omen that greed, violence, and betrayal would spread throughout the town near which they appeared, and it is now believed that the atmosphere of distrust they created sparked many self-fulfilling prophecies.

Shiny Porygon was coded by an intern at Silph Co. one day out of boredom, but now the company strictly regulates them and only sells them for an extremely high price.

Hey. If the Pines had Eevees, in which they evolve? Ford, obviously Umbreon, Mabel, Sylveon, Dipper would have Leafeon and Stan could have either Espeon or Flareon. But what do you think?

In my post the other week, I gave Umbreon and Espeon to Dipper and Mabel respectively because I really liked how the Sun and Moon duality fit them, but I was so close to going Leafeon and Sylveon. 

For Stan, I absolutely agree with Flareon - he definitely has a personality that would work well with a Fire-type! I lean towards giving Ford either a Vaporeon or a Jolteon for contrast, and I think I lean towards Jolteon because I’ve always kind of associated him with electricity. Umbreon is a cool choice for him too though, because he doesn’t know the meaning of sleep and odds are his Eevee would evolve at night because of that.

tl;dr: all Eeveelution + Pines family combos are valid

Also, just going to answer this one in the same post:

Do you think Soos can have a Politoed?

I think that would fit him pretty well! It’s green and derpy in the most loveable way possible, just like him!
