have you ever read the prince by niccolò machiavelli ? not to sound weird but i think he’s made a lot of good points and i’ve read it so many times.🤍🕷️

yes, oh my god, i’ve also read it way too many times, as well as his the art of war. his points are beyond good, they’re an analyzation of politics through the tendencies of humanity. where we derive fear, how we determine power, how we can be divided and how we can be brought together. it’s a manual for taking advantage of innately human traits, which is what Machiavelli points out humans have always done.

i live in the US, and i can’t help feeling like we’re re-living a lot of historical events right now. i keep coming back to Machiavelli’s work, using it to kind of dissect what’s happening.
