Kate Spade’s Suicide

On June 6th 2018 Fashion Designer Kate Spade was found in her Manhattan home, dead after hanging herself. The only thing left with her was a suicide note, written for her teenage daughter Beatrix. “Bea- this isn't your fault, just ask Daddy!” it read. Kate’s family have reported she has had severe depression for years now, and has been getting help to treat her anxiety and depression. Andy Spade stated that she “battled with demons, but death was a complete shock”.  Her reason for death is unknown but a possible reasons for the suicide is that Kate and her husband Andy had decided to take a break, and were on their 10th month living apart. Kate never had any drug or alcohol problems, she still vacationed and met to eat meals with her husband and children.

More thoughts

People are constantly saying that technology is this terrible thing, and my generation”abuses” it and we don’t have a life without it, but that’s not the case. It’s so annoying when i hear that because all that people see is the worst. if i spent 2 months off of my phone, and i played outside everyday no one would acknowledge that, but if i, god forbid, spend one afternoon by myself watching netflix texting my friends, then I’m practically already “a lifeless teenager who’s only friend is her phone” right? NOT RIGHT! Today’s generation does so much that goes unrecognized, such as volunteering in war and crime ridden countries,  or playing for a national sports team. yes 50 years ago things weren’t as they are now, and people who grew up 50 years ago and are now 60 or 70 obviously aren’t going to agree with today’s generation because nobody likes change. i know for a fact that when I’m 70, I’m going to be saying “ugh look at those kids not going outside, back in my day.....” but the thing is when I’m old and saggy, i wont realize I’m only seeing a small portion of what’s really happening. I’m not thee when those kids are voluntarily doing stuff for their parents, or helping out at an old folks home. No one has the right to say a generation is corrupted when people thought their generation was corrupted as well. there will always be new technology, and new developments, but its reality. if kids start getting more and more technology then that’s life, nothing you can do about it. if you really need to blame someone, don’t blame the kids, blame the companies that are putting these electronics in kids faces convincing them inside is better then outside. but don’t blame the kids when you don’t know, or see, or hear what these kids do on their own time, because I’ve heard people calling my generation corrupted to many times.

Technology isn’t our enemy, we control it.  We just need to realize the difference between controlling, and abusing it.

13 Reasons Why

I’ve decided to do a post on the hit netflix series “13 reasons why’

13 Reasons Why is an amazing show that revolves around a girl, killing herself, but before committing suicide, she puts out 13 tapes about why she wants to kill herself. Tons of people are blamed within her tapes, including one guy named Bryce Walker. The guy is a total douche and he rapes a total of four girls over the course of 2 seasons. 

I chose to do a blog about 13 Reasons Why because its a current show and really represents the now. It opens so many eyes about bullying, self harm, depression, the internet, but also shines light on the amazing things life has to offer, like what real friends are, and what life should be like. 

I’m about to give away a BIG SPOILER, a lot of people think that the 13th episode of the 2nd season isn’t t.v appropriate,but yet they are fine with watching Hannah Baker slit her wrists in a bathtub, and watching some guy rape multiple girls? in the episode a kid is held responsible for actions that weren’t even that bad, and he was already punished for. Once people found out Bryce had raped people Tyler took pictures of his writing rapist on the baseball field, costing the baseball team their season because they were all found guilty of something whether is was rape or pornography or substance abuse. all i  all this kid Tyler cost them their season and the baseball kids weren’t happy, so they confronted him in the bathroom, and began to threaten Tyler, Tyler told them his time off of school changed him and he was sincerely sorry for his actions, but no one cared, three baseball boys ganged up on him. they grabbed him by his head and smashed the back of his skull into a mirror behind him, and then smashed his head multiple times into the granite sink. Now beating people up is a reoccurring thing in the show so i thought nothing of it. As i continued to watch the leader of the group grabbed Tyler by his hair and smashed his face into the toilet giving him a swirly. following that he got his friends to hold Tyler in place, as he went to get a broom, which he then shoved up Tyler’s butt, about 20 centimeters, then ripped it out and left him there. 

Yes that is horrifying, but that stuff happens. No one talks about it in the news so i think its a good thing the show screened that. IT HAPPENS and it shouldn’t be something we avoid confronting. It’s terrible and shitty but bringing awareness about the subject is what will make it better. ignoring the fact that this stuff happens daily, is what we shouldn’t do.

Thoughts

Brigitte Nielsen is a 54-year-old actress, who has just announced her fifth pregnancy on Instagram and Twitter Monday, showing her baby bump in a tight gray dress. 

I think that expanding your family and having children is perfectly fine, but when you get to be 54, giving birth and being pregnant becomes a risk to you, and your child. If this actress is in amazing shape and can do this hole thing for a fifth time, then good for her. If i were her, i feel like i wouldn’t be able to give birth and do the whole thing again I mean shes going to be 72 when her child turns 18, that’s pretty old.. But I’m not her and she is her own person and can make her own decisions. This is merely my opinion, and i think 54 is getting on the ‘to old to give birth’ side.

Rumours that Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, cheated on her while she was pregnant with her first child are showing up all over, and now there is video proof all over the Internet. After he was spotted on camera getting up close and personal with another woman in a club showed up all over social media databases, the entire Kardashian family unfollowed him on social media. Shaming him for his actions. Not even 2 weeks later, Khloe has given birth to her child and has claimed that she doesn’t know what to do about him. I think cheating in general is just plain dumb, if you have the audacity to chat on someone you are with let alone ,GOT THEM PREGNANT, you should not be cheating and if you feel the need to, DONT. Go back to your partner and tell them you need a break because you’re thinking about other people. Cheating isn’t cool, it might feel good to be with someone else for a hot second, but once it’s over and the guilt hits and everyone thinks you’re a terrible person, you’ll wish you never did it.

Family Feud

Steven Harvey (host of TV show ‘Family Feud’) is having a celebrity night, and has invited the Kardashian family, and the entire West family. i have no idea how its going to play out, but the Kardashians are very overly dramatic, and i feel like that will be amplified against the West family, and some kind of drama will go down.

The reason it is the Kardashians against the Wests is because of Kimberly Kardashian, and Kanye Wests marriage. They have two children, Northwest, Chicago West, and Saint

the children are not going to be featured on the show, but Kims sisters and mother will be. Along with Kanyes side of the family.  i feel like having all the people on the show together is a very bad idea on their part, because its a competitive game, and they are dramatic, competitive people. On the Steve Harvey’s side, its an amazing idea because so many people will watch because its ‘THE KARDASHIANS OMG’ when in reality they are just some people famous for literally nothing. its all about publicity for them and i think thats really stupid because they probably don’t do what they want, they just do whats best for their image, and what will get them on the cover of a magazine. This show, will definetly get them there, once again.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Welcome Baby #2

Last Wednesday the 32 year old model tweeted saying “somebody's hereeee” hinting the her newest member if the family was now in fact here. John Legend has told sources that their two year old daughter most likely doesn't even know what it means to have a younger sibling, and now she gets to learn. it literally feels like Chrissy has been pregnant for 2 years, like it seems like her pregnancy s are so close, i only ever see pictures of her when she is pregnant.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott gave birth to their baby girl Stormi on February 1st, after Kylie kept her pregnancy for a full term🤭 Honestly if i were her I wouldn’t have kept it a secret, I would’ve embraced my pregnancy and talked about it instead of hiding it and myself away. I get that she’s a celebrity but like nothing really makes her a celebrity except the fact that she has a show for her and her over privileged family. She created her own makeup line but only because she was already stinking rich. Anyways this is about her baby with travis, and I think that’s it’s a little irresponsible also considering they aren’t together, and travis is touring. I’m pretty sure the child was an accident because Kylie is unmarried, and 20 YEARS OLD. Honestly you shouldn’t be having a child at 20 unless you are married. SHES BASICALLY A CHILD. Now her sister Khloe Kardashian is pregnant as well, so there’s bound to be drama there.

I’ve always loved Justin Bieber and the things he does, he had a bad reputation for a while but he’s continually making up for that I feel. Honestly when I see these kinds of things I just think that he’s changed from the way he used to be, acting like a gangster, and doing drugs. He’s grown in so many ways and he continues to be one of my favourite artists not only for his music, but for the kind of person he is. Last Night when he did this I don’t think it made anyone think down upon him. He’s sticking up for a woman who’s literally being grabbed by her throat, who wouldn’t punch the guy??

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have just announced that they DO NOT want wedding presents! Instead they have asked for people to donate to various charties of their choosing, including! CHIVA (Childrens HIV Association), women’s empowerment, and help the homeless, etc. I think this is such a wonderful thing hat they are doing and it’s really going to reflect well on them. Prince Harry’s mother (Princess Diana) was always trying to spread awareness about HIV, and helping people who were affected by it. The prince has mentioned to various people his mother has given him the idea for this and wanted to keep what she had in mind, continuing. Markle on the other hand wanted more of women’s empowerment, and more femenistic charities to be chosen. Both of the partners had picked wonderful charities but what I think makes this even more grand is the fact that they chose together. Yes some factors affect Prince Harry more, and some factors affect Markle more. In the end it comes down to the fact that they support eachother and want the same kind of change in the world, and that’s what will play an enormous aspect in their soon to come marriage.

As the couple has gone through this together, I feel as though them being this selfless really reflects on them as being kind hearted selfless people.

      Welcome to THE go to blog about pop culture. When i say a blog about pop culture i mean a blog about my opinion on what’s going in on the ‘celebrity society’, for example; Jelena (who i love and ship forever), or Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s new baby, Stormi, I’ll probably even talk about Jenifier Aniston and Brad Pitts rumored to happen reunion. 

      Once and a while i might do an updated tribute to passed on legends and write an opinion on them, ie; Whitney Huston,  Michael Jackson, Robin Williams, and tons of other celebrities who made an enormous impact on our worldwide society. 

      My focus for this blog is to be honest and ad bust any new brands, and out magazines for objectification even, because honestly those magazines are so subliminal and are ruining the worlds youth, its had an enormous impact on even me, and now without even realizing it i feel the need to look like girls in magazines because that is what is considered “normal” when there is no normal in our society. Everyone has their own body shape and can look whatever way and have it normal because being yourself is what normal should be. 

     This blog will focus on the salient, and also the not so salient news of celebrities. Ranging from repulsive Trump out roars, to non-broadcast news about a new judge on american idol. Of anything the blog will have frequent updates and tell only honest opinions.
