Traveling Traveling Traveling

You know I loooooove traveling, and now it’s hurting the money in my wallet T_T

First, it was only Japan in DEC’17 which I planned back in FEB (it’s so long ago, I know). And now Cambodia in OCT and Singapore in NOV (for Ed Sheeran’s concert) is coming from out of nowhere lol.

Thus, the traveling I’m planning now is for next year haha.

Private Onsen and Spa!!

Hey, everyone! Just want to share if anyone come visit Bangkok and want to try a private onsen.

Yesterday I went to a private onsen (before workload on Monday!! Scored!! lol). It’s my first time and it felt really nice… and I don’t even have to go get one in Japan. It’s located here in Bangkok!

Here is Kashikiri Onsen and Spa (there are 2 branches, not sure what’s the difference. It’s located at Sukhumvit 49 and Sukhumvit 101/1. I went to the 49 one, there’re a parking lots available). I chose the package “Kashikiri Balancing Bath”. It’s a 45 minutes private onsen, so you don’t have to be shy as you’re gonna be naked alone lol. Plus massage (neck, head, and shoulders) for 30 minutes (the masseuse that I got was sooooo nice, and she massaged away for around 40-45 minutes, I think).

- This place opens at 9.30 AM to 10.30 PM. I went there at 8 PM, the staff suggested that I should get the massage first, then onsen (it’s up to you what you want first). In the onsen room, there is shower, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All for you to get everything done then go home and get straight to bed. The changing room there has locker to put your stuff in, hair dryer, and lotion if your skins get dry.

- Before getting a massage, there’s a form for you to fill in name and stuff, including a drawing for you to circle where you want the masseuse to focus on, and how you want it, light or heavy massage. 

- I like that this place is very private. Private onsen is for 1 or 2 people (for 2 people, there are 2 choices 1. big wooden bathtub for 2 people to get in, or 2. a connecting room with 2 small bathtubs and a folding curtains in between). There are 3 choices for minerals to mix in the water, can’t remember the name. They’ve imported from Japan, one is for people that have problem with joints, another for good skin, and the last one is for sensitive skin. 

- The staffs are really nice. 

- After finish everything, they serve snacks which are hot green tea, watermelon, and a small (delicious!) cake. 

- They’ve nicely decorated the place with lovely Japanese style. Cozy environment with lots of trees. Next time, if I have a chance, I will go there again when it’s day time (easier to take good pictures hehe). 

- For price, well tbh it’s a little bit pricey, but worth it (it can be for a special occasion or a surprise for your parents or boyfriend/girlfriend). For first time or just want to try, I recommend the package that I chose (45 mins private onsen + 30 mins massage), which cost 1,150 Baht or around USD 33 (there’s a discount on a weekday around noon, I think). There is body scrubs and aroma oil massage available as well, but the price will go up to 2000-3000 Baht (USD 57 - 86). Or you can choose only private onsen, or only massage.  

- On Sat-Sun, should book an appointment.
