The fact that some people don’t understand the canon that is specific to Pokemon White as opposed to Black still baffles me.
Sure, things makes more sense on the surface in Pokemon Black. N is fighting for an ideal world where Pokemon who are hurt and abused are free from humans that he believes only make them suffer by fighting. The MC, as his counterpart, seeks to show N and the world the truth about how Pokemon feel, especially the fact that not all Pokemon are suffering when bound to human trainers. It makes the most sense to the younger players, but whe you look back on this specific canon as an adult you realise how it truly is easy to understand the core messages of the game when playing Black because of what positions N and the MC take and the legendary Pokemon that represent them.
But in my opinion, the same can be said about Pokemon White. It does take a lot of deep thought, so allow me to break it down.
In Pokemon White, instead of Zekrom (the Pokemon representing idealism), N allies himself with the Pokemon Reshiram, a manifestation of the “hard” truth. And when you really think about what N wants to do in connection to the idea of truth and realism, it begins to make sense. In the world of Pokemon White, N seeks to show the world the reality that Pokemon are living in, the reality he grew up with when surrounded by very little human contact, and only communicating with Pokemon that were mistreated. This is where the MC comes in with their opposing opinion – the ideas that good human trainers exist, that Pokemon can enjoy being around humans, even trainers, these become the MC’s ideals, their vision, and their dream, which makes the MC siding with Zekrom more understandable. The MC in this world wants to show N that their ideals can sometimes overpower even the cold hard truth of reality, and in my opinion, it is an even stronger resolve than what the MC in the world of Pokemon Black holds because it takes even more analysis to really get to this conclusion.
I’m not done though. I still got more to say. You know that last couple of lines in N’s farewell speech at the end off the game? The one where he tells the MC to keep pursuing the dreams that they have resolved to defend and pursue through their journey in the game and their crossing paths with N in the plot?
It sure does hold a lot more meaning in White canon than it does in Black canon now that I explicated them both.
Anyways now that I’ve written this down I now have a shitton more feelings for N Harmonia and the Black/White MCs (however you choose to call them) so excuse me while I go cry over them, the Black/White soundtrack, and maybe finally get some fic writing done.

“if you were really a boy you wouldn’t wear skirts, bows, pastel colors, or try to be cute!” listen bud idk if you’ve heard about pokemon but almost 88% of sylveons are boys and yet they still look like that, and so can i! if your gender roles are more rigid than a kids monster catching game thats probably not a good look! get better soon.

*we know voidpunk isn’t an aesthetic but in general voidpunk art is darker

Trendercore is inherently:
Non-dysphoric inclusive
Ace/aro inclusive
Pro-mogai
Pro-neopronouns
Pro-nb
And if you disagree with any of that then you can’t be a part of trendercore.

Introducing: Trendertrue!
Trendertrue is a new subset of trendercore that’s all about solidarity between ex-tran/smeds and non-dysphoric trans people. It’s my way of reclaiming the stupid trucore shit the tran/smeds are doing now. Some things that are trendertrue include:
Loving and supporting others
Making reparations for past mistakes
Learning and growing
Listening to and helping non-dysphoric people
Refusing to apologise for being your true self now
Reclaimed caricatures
Refusing to be miserable because of being trans
Vehemently defending other trans people
Reclaiming common tran/smed phrases and using them for good (ex. “true trans” to “if you say you’re trans, you’re true trans!”)
And, of course, being pissed off at the tran/smed community
The sort of aesthetic I’d like to go for (idea courtesy of @gummyworm-ace) is similar to regular trendercore but more 80s - with saturated colors, but not neons. More like retrowave than neoncore and more emocore than scenecore, if you get what I mean.
Tagging people for visibility: @trenderzeraora @angelic-trender @poketrender @trenderwooloo @trendershinobu @trendercorecat @trendertech @uwumars @trendercore @holo-edition-trender @twendercore @gaytrender @trender-core (pls tell me if you don’t want to be tagged!)

with all the trucore shit happening i kinda wanna make a new subset of trendercore (like trenderpunk, y'know?) specifically for solidarity between ex-tran/smeds and non-dysphoric trans people, about loving and supporting others, making reparations for past mistakes, learning and growing, listening to and helping non-dysphoric people, and of course being pissed off at the tran/smed community.
i just… as an ex-tran/smed, their community hurt me so much. i’m extremely gnc and i’m not an “acceptable” type of non-binary - and i repressed those parts of myself so i could be deemed “acceptable” by them. i think reclaiming that part of my past and turning it into something positive and powerful would help me.
some other things that would fit this subset: refusing to apologise for being your true self now, reclaimed caricatures, refusing to be miserable because of being trans, vehemently defending other trans people, reclaiming common tran/smed phrases and using them for good (ex. “true trans” to “if you say you’re trans, you’re true trans!”)
however… i have no idea what to call it. i could just reclaim the trucore label but it’s hard to say imo. any ideas?
(tran/smeds do not interact or i will take all of your rights and testosterone like the dirty little trender i am)

marginalized orientations, gender alignments, and intersex, i believe!
hi! sorry to bother u, but can u explain what mogai is? thanks!
Mogai used to be an alternative for the lgbt acronym but turned into a term used for non-binary genders.
I know mogai stands for something but I can’t remember and I’m very tired.
If someone wants to reblog with a better explanation I’d really appreciate that.
