I made my last post on this blog about two years ago, and while I loved running it and I loved all the reaction to it, I’m sorry to say it is well and truly dead now. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed it, though.
I thought I’d end with a bunch of messages I’ve got on this blog over the last two years, the most recent of which was sent today, because apparently people really get in a state over Pokemon with pronouns and gender identities or something? it was a great study in what people will you if you suggest anything they love is trans, and I thank everyone who lost their shit over this blog for helping me out with that
I’m also going to close the ask box because, like I said, it’s been two years, but thank you all for the encouraging and/or hilarious messages
and I’m going to end with the best ask I ever received:

I apologise for how dead this blog is; my mental health is all over the place and I haven't really had the motivation to work on this. I do read all your messages and I appreciate them and maybe I will pick up this blog again, but for now I don't feel up to it I'm sorry
here is a disgruntled monosexual mewtwo that I put together in 5 minutes
again I am sorry for the lack of content

pls imagine: a pokemon game that opens with the professor asking "are you a boy or a girl?" and the answers are "yes"/"no"

You should probably consider that using pronouns other than Feminine, Masculine and Neutral to make yourself feel like a special snowflake is offensive to actual trans people like myself. This is why I hate cis people. You can't fucking call yourself trans if you're a goddamn furry piece of shit, you fucking asshat. Transgender means you identify with another gender, not that you feel like your identity needs to be added to with furry bullshit.
I came out in February 2013 as a trans man, and then again in October as non-binary. My pronouns are they/them, and I think my official diagnosis by my therapist and the deed poll with my new name is enough to convince even uptight truscum that I'm an "actual trans person".
and, as an 'actual trans person', let me say:

I'm thinking manaphy should maybe be half of the trans binary if you can think of a counterpart. trans man. trans manaphy. it sorta works?
oo I like that

Is Manaphy one of the trans pokemon? I've seen that they're "Prince of the Sea" sometimes, but so many people refer to Manaphy as a girl.
considering Manaphy can lay eggs yet still be genderless, I like the idea of Trans Manaphy a lot

So since Agender Arceus mentions using neopronouns, what would those pronouns be? I would hate to use the incorrect ones.
they/them is fine for every pokemon on this blog, but a while back I made a legendary-themed pronoun list and I always imagined the legendaries using them
but like I said, it's not mandatory

this has got to be a joke, please tell me this is satire or a joke because there can't possibly be a tumblr this fucking dumb, I can't even begin to explain to you the magnitude in which you are trivializing something that people suffer with so badly that they KILL THEMSELVES because they can't get treatment, because people don't treat transsexuality as a serious issue, because IGNORANT FUCKING GENDERSPECIALS LIKE YOU THINK IT'S SOMETHING ~~OH SO FUN LIEK OMG~~ JUST. STOP.
looks like I’m introducing Anti-Gatekeeping Groudon early!

Any plans for binary trans pokemon? Even though it breaks with the alliteration, I'm really digging the idea of some eeveelutions being binary trans. Like, trans man umbreon and trans woman espeon? Then you get that whole inverted yin-yang thing (with woman as light and man as dark). Or, sylveon is like the poster child for a pokemon trans woman.
I honestly have no idea tbh, I'm trying to stick with legendaries and a lot of those are genderless. I suppose I could do trans Latios and Latias, though it'll be tricky figuring out how to do that properly. I'll think about it and give it a go in the future hopefully.

Shutdown Shaymin is the newest poke on this blog; they probably won't have a post of their own, but they'll appear on reblogs every now and then.
Why Shaymin? Well, Shaymin is like the pokemon version of (◡‿✿), flower included. I have a fondness for very cutesy things being incredibly blunt and to-the-point.
Hopefully Shutdown Shaymin won't appear too much, but no doubt this won't be the last 'interesting' comment added to the post by someone, at which point the little legendary will likely make an appearance. I really hope I don't have to use them much, because negative comments on gender identity are kind of sad, and also there isn't a lot of official Shaymin artwork for me to use if people continue to be ignorant on my posts.
