I made a mistake.

It turns out there's already an official Selena Day on April 16 by George W. Bush.

So, to avoid confusion, I'm changing the name of the holiday I created for February 26.

From now on, it will be called

Spirit of Music Day (Día del Espíritu de la Música)

You can still post whatever you want about Selena Quintanilla-Perez using the same hashtags I used, except for Selena Day (let's save that for the official holiday). Instead, this hashtag will be replaced with SOMD.

Sorry to the fans and Selena's family for the mix up.

On February 26 of this year, it will be 30 years since Selena Quintanilla-Pérez performed with her band before many many fans here in the Astrodome. According to Microsoft Copilot, it actually set a record of how many fans were present.

So, after being inspired by the original 1997 movie and re-watching the Netflix series, I have decided to unofficially declare February 26 a holiday in honor of Selena, her memory, and the legacy that she left behind. I shall call it...

Selena Day

This unofficial holiday will mostly be celebrated here on Tumblr. During this time, you may post whatever you like about Selena, a poem, a song, art, anything you desire (as long as it's not anything NSFW). It does not have to posted here on Tumblr, you may choose whatever social media you wish, but you must post a link to that project here on Tumblr with the hashtag Selena Day or WeHeartSelena or SelenaForever.

Also, if Selena's family, especially her father, finds this and is not happy with how I used this day to make a holiday, I would like to apologize at this is merely just a tribute to their daughter's memory, to let them know after all these years, out love for Selena will always live on and will continue to live on in those who know her music and the feeling she gave us.

Tiger & Bunny Advent Calendar 2024 Day 24

What Tiger & Bunny means to me.

For me, Tiger & Bunny is adventures everlasting. No matter what happens, the characters always find a way to pull through together. It means strength in those you trust and care about, despite the differences, we learn to love each other for our differences. Anyone can become a hero in their own rights, and although very few people will thank you, at the end of the day, you find something that makes it all worth while. I will always love Tiger & Bunny, even though there are some who say, "Tiger & Bunny? What's that?" or "How can such a bland ripoff of Marvel ever compare to a real superhero anime like My Hero Academia?" or (my personal favorite) "You're way too old for anime. Honestly, the way you love it so much, you'd think that everything happens on that show... real." No mater what, Tiger & Bunny will always be number one.

Giving a song to a character or paring.

I would to assign this song to Subaru Sengoku/Mr. Black.

Can you imagine his reaction to this?

Ugh, when did I sing this? I don't remember singing this. How could I have sung this? Thomas, did you ever hear me sing this or remember me singing this?

Thomas: Not that I'm aware of. Was I suppose to?

Subaru: See? I don't remember singing this... Not that I'm complaining. I wish I had. I know I sang choir once, but I sounded good in this one.

... Hey, when was the last time we released an album with character songs in it?

Sweet! I normally not into this stuff, but I'm willing to take a whack at it.

Thomas: ... I'll sing, but only for Ruby.

NOTE: This was the only full Robbie Daymond song I could find other than The Ballad of Bertrand Bell. Unless Robbie records a song about Subaru and a duet with Josh Keaton as Subaru and Thomas, I'm working with what I got.

Tiger & Bunny Advent Calendar 2024 Day 20

Me in Sternbild City, Home of the Heroes

Well, as you may have guessed from some of my non-Tiger & Bunny posts, I am a witch. So if I lived in Sternbild, I would probably open a New Age/metaphysical shop, most likely on the Bronze or Silver Stage. I can just see either Karina or (and I really hope) Kotetsu noticing my shop either to buy incense (especially if it's for Barnaby), oils, herbs, and/or crystals or there mystical items. Or they could ask me for a reading, I would laying down the cards, divining the witch wellness stones (courtesy of Salem's Spell, a shout out to them), or just crystal ball gazing.

Although, I don't mind being a hero, as long as I have magic-based NEXT powers (see Day 2). I could be Masked Magician or Mister Magick, just as long as my sponsor doesn't give me anything silly. (Although, if my sponsor is Apollon Media or Jungle, that could be a problem, especially with Lloyds or Carlotta).

Tiger & Bunny Advent Calendar 2024 Day 19

Favorite Villain

Well, there are a lot of villains in Tiger & Bunny I do like. But when it comes down to it, only one comes to mind.

This guy.

No matter how you look at it, Robin Baxter is basically Kid Flash/Wally West and, dare I say it, Deadpool rolled into one. (Especially since all three share the same voice actor.) Something about him just draws you in, probably because he's the villain of the first movie which would be a great point in the series' history.
