September 2019 prompts
Write a short story, poem or anything that inspires you based on one of these prompts and tag it with #inkstay. Make it clear somewhere in the post that it is written for one of the inkstay September prompts (also mention specifically which prompt you’re writing for) and post it before the 25th if you want your work to appear in the magazine.
Prompts of the month 1# - It is summer and none of the trees have leaves. 2# - The mice in your garbage are at war with the neigbour’s garbage mice. 3# - Someone playing music on a boombox to declare their love, at the wrong house. 4# - A father watching all his children leave the house. 5# - The cleaning crew is getting sick of the dramatic ghosts getting blood all over the walls. 6# - A group of bandits find out one of them is really only there for the adventure, not the money. 7# - Sometimes music floods the streets and everyone has to dance. 8# - A hero has arrived to overthrow the evil queen, only to find that the people consider her a fair ruler. 9# - A teenager who has only heard of the sea in stories, decides to become a pirate. 10# - Someone finds some old postcards they forgot to send over the years and wonders about how their name is written differently on it every time.
Word prompts 1# - disuse 2# - trickery, problem 3# - sporadic, excursion, maneuver 4# - misnomer 5# - ethereal, shake 6# - hiatus, torture, satisfy 7# - seperation 8# - smite, melancholy 9# - petition, divide, collection 10# - aggregate, rough, totem, here
