Sapphire Springs Casting Call for VA’s and Musicians!
Tumblr media
Sapphire Springs is a podcast told through a series of entries onto an SOS radio about love, cults, and doing what is right despite the danger. It follows the story of Kestrel Kane, a nineteen-year-old reporter, as she tries to contact the outside world and recounts her experiences over the past year and a half. Runs in the same vein as podcasts like Limetown and The Black Tapes.
We are looking for a diverse cast of actors ages fifteen and older for an eight-episode podcast run, and musicians to put together a theme song/intro for the show.
If any of this sounds interesting, more information can be found at the full page:

RTDA Editor Call
IHi everyone, Lindsay here, the girl in charge of Audio Editing and Production. We are still on hiatus, so I am making some changes in the Audio department. So far, all of the editing work and a good chunk of the sound effects and ambience have been done by me, and that has led to a good bit of burnout.
So, to that end, I am putting out a call for audio editors to form a team with me.
Some details:
*Our episodes run approximately 20 to 35 minutes, and the workload will be split up between the team.
*The majority of the work I am asking for will be line stitching.
*We have a release schedule of once every three weeks, once we go off hiatus.
*I want to rotate our crew so that none of us get burnt out on the work.
*I am looking for three to four audio editors to join me on this team. Any level of experience here is welcome, from those who have not worked on podcasts before, to those who have worked on non-fiction podcasts, to those who have worked on fiction podcasts.
*As this is an audio drama, a sense of pacing and timing would be a very good thing to have.
For now, this is a purely volunteer position on a purely volunteer-run podcast. If you wish to volunteer for this position, please contact me directly at lindsay(dot)richards(dot)2370(at)gmail(dot)com. Applications for this position will be taken through September 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM, Pacific Time. (2018-09-15 23:59 Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -7)) For the subject line of the email, please put “RTDA Audio Editing Position”, and please include the following in the body of your email:
*Name
*Age
*Pronouns!
*The time zone you live in
*The best way to get in contact with you
*Any previous experience and references with said experience
*Samples of past work, if you have any (links or files are okay)
I look forward to talking with all who apply! Thank you, everyone.

Calling All Gays
Hey there! I am starting a podcast called Big Gay Talk. Big Gay Talk is a podcast about different (particularly lesser-known) identities in the LGBTQ+ community. To educate people on some of the many identities there are in this world, I decided to start a podcast that will discuss a different LGBTQ+ identity each episode: misconceptions, stereotypes, facts, famous people with that identity, etc.
I am looking for 18+ year-old people of different LGBTQ+ identities to be on the show. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] with the subject line: Big Gay Talk Interest Form, a brief description of yourself (name, age, pronouns, hobbies/interests, LGBTQ+ identities, and some things you’d like to say about your LGBTQ+ identities if you were to be on the show. If your identity hasn’t been assigned someone to discuss it yet, I will reach out to you and have you send in a voice recording (requirements will be discussed further when the time comes).
I am also looking for some 18+ year-old tech-savvy people who can do the sound editing for the show. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected] with the subject line: Big Gay Talk Tech Interest, a brief description of yourself (name, pronouns, age, experience, etc.) and I will reach out to you about the position.
Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you soon!

Open Voice Acting and Musician Call
Tumblr media
Jupiter Finch and All the Stars in the Midnight Sky, also known as the Starcast, is a podcast currently in production. It is a post-apocalyptic story about discovering yourself, being optimistic, and moving on. It follows Jupiter Finch, a 14-year-old nonbinary teen, as they leave the bunker they’ve resided in all their life, traveling out into the nuclear wasteland with their father’s star map to view a night sky they’ve only ever heard about. With the help of a cynical scavenger, a wasteland merchant, and a petty thief, they try to lighten the harshness of the reality surrounding them. The story is told through the use of audio diary entries.
We are currently accepting auditions for musicians and voice actors of any age, experience, and set-up! Quality is of no major concern. All details can be found in the document below.

Editor Wanted!
Hey everyone, I’m looking for an editor for a new podcast!! (For my other podcasts, me an my teams share the workload of editing, but I’m flying solo with this one so I don’t have the time to do the editing myself!)   Some facts:
It’s non-fiction, so it requires less editing than audio drama.
Your main tasks will be: synching the audio, making sure it’s clean, cutting redundant/boring parts, adding music, and getting the podcast “upload ready” all in all
Episode length: 30-50 min (if an episode runs much longer, I will do a first rough edit myself first, don’t worry)
Episodes come out every other week (for now)
You don’t need to be a pro at editing! All you need is a basic understanding of editing and access to software (like garage band or audacity). Some experience would be great! And you should have good feeling for pacing (giving an episode a good flow is very important to me!)
Payment: We will have to talk about the details, but there will be some sort of financial recompensation for your time and work. (it won’t be a lot, but I’ll try my best!) Which is why you need to be 18 years or older to apply. If you’re interested, send an e-mail to [email protected] until July 20th, 8pm CET, use the subject line “Podcast Editor”. State your name, age, the time zone you live in, the best way to get in touch with you, why you want to work as an editor, and any previous experiences you have. Feel free to also send a link or a  sample of your previous work. You will hear back from me within the following weekend. Hope to hear from you soon, and I’m looking forward to working with you. Layover: A New Horror Podcast
*Composers Needed*
Layover is a horror-mystery podcast about a teenage drag queen, Otto, traveling across the globe for reasons unknown. Each chapter is set in a different airport between flights, as he recounts the the strange occurrences that go on in these “elevated planes” of existence. As we follow Otto’s adventures through these different but strikingly similar environments, we learn more about who he is, why he’s traveling, and why he can never seem to land in one place.
We are looking for composers that can provide suspenseful, unnerving music to be played while our protagonist narrates his harrowing tale. If you have any experience in this field, send an email to [email protected] with ‘Layover Composer’ in the subject line and 2-3 samples of your work.
Please note that this is an amateur podcast, and, as such, any work will be unpaid but appreciated. If the first few episodes are well-received, a Patreon will be set up and compensation will be further discussed. I can probably venmo you like $10 if it’s super good, but yeah.
Production will start pretty soon, so please have your submissions sent in by July 16th, 11:59 PM (CDT). If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask, using the email previously mentioned.
Thanks, Motherflighters!

Call for writers, creators, actors, and composers!
Modern Fae is a new audio drama that centers around Diya Greenberg, a young woman who feels lost in her life, and makes the fateful decision to move to a tiny South Texan town to manage a bookstore. Little does she realize, but Encrucijada is much, much more than it seems. It is a haven for the legendary and mythological, the shadowy and supernatural. And it is in grave danger. Here, even the shadows have shadows, and something is stirring that threatens not only to consume the whole of this bastion of the fantastical, but the entire world. As she unravels the mysteries of Encrucijada, Diya learns to rely on new friends and allies. There’s Aoife, her landlady, will-they-won’t-they girlfriend, and oh, yeah, 1000 year old warrior, the changeling twins Tik and Tok, 700 year old preteens always looking for their next mark, and Clio, Isimud, and Mr. Enki, Diya’s eccentric co-workers at The Fount Bookstore. With them at her side, Diya confronts old and new evils, and in the process discovers who she truly can be.
All positions are open for auditions and work samples from today (May 21st) to Monday, June 4th, at noon MT!
WRITERS AND CREATORS
Modern Fae is a story that is intended to be diverse and wide-ranging, and encompassing cultures, stories, and legends from all over the world. As such, the characters, beings, and themes that come from these mythologies must be represented with the utmost respect and accuracy. We ourselves only have experience with a limited scope of these mythologies and so we are looking for writers and artists from all over the world who would like to join this project and contribute to the construction of this world, and to shaping the plot and characters so as to truly represent the diversity of stories and cultures in our own. Although we currently have preliminary concepts for the plot over at least three seasons, this is all very fluid, and will be molded by everyone involved. While we welcome anyone with a passion for their native culture and stories to contribute, we particularly encourage artists of color who would like to write episodes as well as develop characters and plots behind the scenes to reach out!
Guidelines:
If you are interested in writing and/or developing the series, please send a writing sample (can be from a script or prose) to [email protected] and also a brief description of how you would like to participate (ie writing, producing, etc).
ACTORS
Modern Fae is going to have a very large cast with many one-off and recurring characters, alongside the main cast of seven (Diya, Aoife, Tik and Tok, Mr. Enki, Clio, and Isimud). Because we don’t yet have all of the scripts and stories finished, this means we will have rolling auditions, and will occasionally cast as we go along. However, right now we will audition for the main cast (Diya and Tok have already been cast) and recurring characters from season 1.
The sides for all current characters can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k-pSe8p0CA0BeGHeEEXTON22Pp40CWS59zaMKdEQoGI/edit?usp=sharing
You may audition for as many roles as you like; however, please note that only actors of color will be considered for characters of color.
Guidelines:
1. Please make sure you have a good location to record (free of background noise as much as possible, etc) and a decent mic with which to record.
2. Send your recorded sides, along with your name (however you would like to be identified), age, gender, etc. to [email protected]. We would prefer to cast people with similar background to the characters.
COMPOSERS
As Modern Fae will be drawing from stories all over the world, an integral part of bringing these characters and stories to life will be music. We intend to include lots of folk music when possible, but would love to supplement this with original music. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide compensation at this stage; however, we will have a Patreon running soon after the series premieres, and will do our best to compensate you per episode of composition!
Guidelines:
If you are interested, please send three samples of your work to [email protected]. We would love to hear samples of music that are appropriate for:
1. An ominous scene
2. A comedic scene
3. A romantic scene
And to reiterate, all positions are open for auditions and work samples from today (May 21st) to Monday, June 4th, at noon MT!

Looking for writers!
Hello!
We currently have two writers for I’m Not Noah, but unfortunately, our schedules have been so packed that we haven’t been able to make nearly as much progress as we would have liked. I’m Not Noah is a six-episode podcast that deals with love, grief, death, and life after loss.
We’ll probably need 1-2 other writers in order to pull this off, and we’re nearly finished casting our actors! If you’re interested in writing for this podcast, submit a 500-2500 word, script format, short story based around what it’s like to lose someone you love. Please send this to @vivi#8184 on Discord, or [email protected], by May 14th.
