After reading Schnittstellen, I gotta ask you now, too: What are your favourite scenes to write?

gotta say, i only now realise how difficult it is to answer that question😭😭

i love writing angsty scenes, scenes that are filled with pain and longing and fear and resentment. they tend to come easier to me (prolly because i, myself, am a very angsty mf). but i also love banter, especially teasing banter is very fun to me. sometimes when writing Spilled Guts, i wish i could write the banter in german because that would be so much funnier 😭

apart from actual scenes, i LOVE creating pictures, through metaphors or vague comparisons. i want people to be able to actually feel the words, so i love to describe different senses and stuff.

there are a few lines in Schnittstellen that i am very proud of, and i know that wasn't your question, but i'll paste them here anyway lol

"Eigentlich wollte Jamal ihm nur auch irgendwas mitgeben, dass er dann nächste Woche im Gleisbett zurücklassen muss."

(der mitbringsel-vergleich ist einer meiner liebsten lines die ich jemals geschrieben habe glaube ich)

i don't know man, i love writing, i love words. i love being vague and pseudo-poetic about stuff. i love making my narrator cuss and i love describing the weather.

what i hate are party scenes. god FUCK. they make me go insane and for some unknown reason i end up having to write them all the time 👍

oh and i can definitely agree with what you said about tying everything up!!! THE BEST FUCKING FEELING!! in german i would say "glühbirnen-moment"... when u write and write and write and you don't even do it on purpose but suddenly everything clicks. these moments fill me with immense joy and pride lmao

Und, genau das ist es vermutlich, was ihn die letzten Tage so beschäftigt.

Die Tatsache, dass Stuttgart halt die einzige Schnittstelle in Flos und seinem Leben ist und dass Jamal es dann doch eigentlich schön fände, wenn da noch andere wären.

Es gibt nicht viel, dass Flo und Jamal gemeinsam haben. Da ist nur Stuttgart, und das Bett, welches sie sich an Feiertagen teilen.
