we all have 12 houses within our charts, experiencing each house each year sequentially (all while living out our chart in its entirety though), and so we go through a 12-year cycle. our ascendant (1st house) is our birth, it is the dawning of us, and every 12 years we do re-enter the world - i guess rebirth is the best word for it

our saturn return(s) is not a rebirth per se, more like a court case...it's the accumulation of our lessons being tried against us...like 'okay you've been through all these lessons, now what are you going to do with what you've learned? your life is your responsibility' it's a milestone of maturity

A transit in the 8th house doesn't always mean something dramatic, which is something that can be said about any place, but we're usually scared of this one AND I think the 8th house will usually disappoint you in that because its meaning itself can be about quite the opposite: the 8th house is called the idle place for a reason, sometimes it can mean just that you'll do a whole bunch of nothing, be ineffective, spend time and be anxious about that. The 8th is also about eliminating things, you may feel like you're doing nothing because you're just destroying or throwing things out and that takes energy.
