Let the name of god be written on your heart so deeply that it need never be spoken– your heart already calls it with every beat. Then see if all the religions still seem so different.

Honestly the reason why I keep bothering you fucking gays about call me by your name is because not only am I incredibly disgusted with the leaders in our community for uncritically praising the film, I’m also petrified for the impact it’ll have on our youth. There are a lot of lonely gay kids who feel that the only way they can experiment is by sleeping with older men because kids in their peer group are either hostile or closeted. These kids may want to be sexually active and think they’re mature, but they’re still vulnerable. Creating a story where adult/child sexual relationships are seen as being in love is dangerous because it can easily be used by predators irl to groom young people. No matter the era or the persons sexuality it’ll never be healthy for an underage teen to first be introduced into sex through the actions of adults. Age is not just a number, it’s not moralistic to say that there is obviously a power imbalance between a graduate student and someone who’s barely finished with high school.

Reminders for 2018
Some stuff i have learnt this 2017 & that i want to bring to my 2018:
When you experience fear do not punish yourself. Instead, acknowledge you are not the fear & be patient with it. There’s no need to fight the fear or feel like a bad person. You are not a bad person for experiencing negative emotions or thoughts! you are human and you are learning and you are loved whether you make mistakes or not. See the fear and send love to yourself.
Stop making so many assumptions about what other people think, you will never know! you cannot control that! its none of your business. what they think about you has nothing to do with you. Focus on what makes you happy and you will be filled with so much positivity and love that others people’s thoughts won’t alter your sense of worth… it takes time tho but we can get there slowly!
2018 is the PERFECT year to practice conscious consuming. What are you reading? What you take in is empowering you? Choose what lifts you up… stop reading negative comments and drama. Let that go, you don’t need it anymore.
Real life (the external) is as important as your personal spiritual practice (the internal). It’s time to get out of your cave and explore the endless possibilities and opportunities that await. The internet is a tool, don’t make it enslave you. Real life awaits. You never know the people you will meet, the lessons you will learn, the wisdom you will acquire… you can’t learn when you’re stuck in your room.
You are allowed to feel good, you are allowed to heal the wound and stop living in pain. You are allowed to feel happy, to dance, to laugh with friends, to relax.
You are allowed to be loved just as you are… you can be so hard on yourself so feed yourself love. Perfectionism is a trait i’m learning to let go off and hopefully 2018 will help me with this intention.
You are allowed to feel beautiful and sexy. Minimizing yourself to make others comfortable won’t make anyone happy. Let go of the guilt and use clothes you love and that you feel beautiful in.
How others feel about you in NONE of your business.
You are your own teacher, you are the only one who knows whats the BEST for you.
Keep working on seeing your worth. There will be hard days, but you are still making progress… so choose empowerment, choose happiness, choose your health.
