MENS SPRING SHOW P/CKS
It's been interesting to peruse the new Mens' collections to see where my mine would stand amongst these. The ones I have most liked (many of which i'd class as 'competitors', had this undertone of androgyny - some fantastic fusions of classic/costume garments - the above kiltpants by Givenchy, for example. Others - Jil Sander, Westwood drew on this through styling methods or feminine cuts - an amazing yellow swing coat and cardigan buttoned at the neck seen at Sander or a shirt tied at the waist at Westwood.
This gives me the impression that i'm on the right track with my menswear - my goal with mens looks is to blur gender barriers, although still maintain some form of masculinity, wearability and transcend the 'look of the season' by creating a product which could exist in a mans' wardrobe for a decent length of time.

GS SS 12/13
New Gail Sorronda collection was brilliant. It made me think what Jenny Kee would have looked like had been a Spanish heiress rather than an Australian fashion designer.
