THE DISDAIN TOWARDS KRIS REFERENCE? LMFAOOO

I was working on the comic and needed a break. Kris really doesn’t want me to draw them well for whatever reason right now, so I decided to create a list of things that happened in UTDR Fractured so far that lives rent free in my mind.

So I’m sharing it with you.

1. Players trying to convince Kris that Berdly is a player

2. Being called out for my bad sleeping habits

3. ”Hey, you’re not gonna discard the vessel on us… right? - “Oh boy, this is gunna be awkward.”

4. A few players getting a little to close for comfort to guessing some of the stories major plots

5. ”DON’T GET DIVORCED PLAYERS” -askmorechara

6. Players immediately turning on Kris after the release of Chapter 3 and 4

7. ”DISDAIN TOWARDS KRIS! MY MAN!” -While not said by or to V, V was in the comic so I’m counting this. This is a phrase I reference frequently despite no one in my life understanding what it’s from nor will I elaborate.

8. Players were completely fine with Kris literally getting STABBED IN THE SIDE, but the second Chara was pushed to the ground all hell broke loose in my asks.

9. Composerofchaos being the person who sent the command for Frisk to push Chara, this was the last person I expected to have done that! I literally screamed when I found out and my husband thought that something bad had happened to me.

10. Psirune’s Kris tricking Fractured Kris into touching straight up boiling water

11. Kris getting pelted with a water bottle, which in turn opened the flood gates for requests to have multiple objects thrown at them.

I absolutely love that I wrote Frisk with the intention that THEY were the one that was going to be injured more than the other two… And yet, somehow, Kris currently has a stab wound, a scalded finger from boiling water, and an injury to their nose from the water bottle, and a few other injuries that I haven’t posted about. Frisk is mentally wrecked right now but otherwise physically fine… Chara j chillin though!

That said, next page should be out tomorrow I think.

Kris better work with me because I’m about to lose it on them.

are they a snowgraver? how much free will does your vessel have? etc. etc. go wild, i'm reading every single bit <3

to answer your request... i have to preface this by saying i dont really have a "canon" for my vessel, and a lot of it is just random thoughts i have. i will refer to vessel with it and soul with they

but just in general, vessel is very emotionally dependent on the soul. after being discarded, it was lost, confused, and really really cold. it remembered the soul's light flashing when they were choosing an appearance for it, it remembered getting different traits and it felt ready, only to be thrown away, connection snapped like thin thread

being lost, the vessel went a little insane. it remembered all those choices and it doesn't feel like it can make their own, it needs the soul to tell them what to do and what to say, it feels empty without them. it has the gift of voice, yet it cannot speak

the soul is.... okay well theyre a little stupid. they know of snowgrave, but they have zero interest in doing it (because they can look up all the secrets online sob). in their playthrough, they just do what they like and think is best. it is their world after all

another point to their character is how much they love. they tend to either overlook or recontextualize a lot of things that harms them personally (like saying kris throwing them around is just them both playing), and forgive any faults of other characters. they love the world too much, they cant help it. they dont want to leave

i know you didnt ask, but another person i want to talk about is kris, since i cant separate the three of them from my mind haha.. so far, we know kris is working with the evil ass roaring gc towards some goal that requires the use of the soul. so, to me kris doesnt necessarily hate them? like, okay, being possessed isnt so fun, they want to be their own person, but the soul is so easygoing that they dont seem to be an obstacle at all. kind of like a tool that agrees to work with you (kris doesnt like thinking about it). so they tolerate the soul. maybe even willfully cooperate sometimes. this little floating thang with power wants to go with the flow, and that is enough for them

now, for the relationships. vessel and soul arent the best to be honest. vessel's dependency gets affirmed by the soul, because of course they love the vessel, their precious vessel. so what if it sometimes acts all high and mighty? they love it as it is (vessel is ecstatic at this information). kris and vessel somewhat??? get along???? as much as they can being stuck together. soul's affectionate love gets annoying, but kris can keep them in check. kris and vessel...... the most rough of the bunch. vessel thinks kris is too unappreciative of being the current soul host, thinking it would do sooo much better and treat the soul like they should be treated. kris thinks thats stupid and that it should get its head out of the delusions it built up and back to reality. neither of them want the other to have the soul. vessel for personal obsessed reasons and kris for, also personal, but practical reasons. the soul cannot mediate between the two for the life of them (they cant choose just one!)

all in all, the three of them are stupid and im rotating them in my head

my answer to this CANONICALLY is that psirune vessel is only touch starved with the player / angel, so if they are too hot, the soul can't exactly feel it lol

but in terms of generally amd shitposting, their response would be " skill issue " whether or not they like the person

anyway i got rlly cold like two nights ago and was like, god i wish i had a heat pack and then remembered that i made psirune vessel [ maybe i'll call them null outside of canon? ] non human and @utdr-fractured's kris also gets cold easily so idea light bulb turned on
