You guys honestly have nothing to worry about, I know that as humans we tend to concentrate on the negatives more but look at the rest of the script, Mike and Eleven are incredibly dedicated to each other and I don’t believe that one scene is enough to invalidate all of that. Also keep in mind that the snowball scene with Will staring didn’t make the final cut, so there is still a lot of space and time for them to handle will’s future love interest differently.

One more thing, from a narrative standpoint breaking up mileven permanently doesn’t make any sense. All that bulid up for it to lead to nothing? The Duffers and Levy wouldn’t do that.

I got to meet Carrie. Unfortunately, I was in tears as my friends had abandoned me, I'd gotten fired, my boyfriend broke up with me, and I'd just gotten in a huge fight with my dad. She asked why I was crying. I told her that and said "I just feel lost and useless and unloved. I'm at rock bottom. I don't know how to continue." She grabbed me by the shoulders and said "You are loved more than you realize, have more purpose than you know. The world would be dimmer without you." I miss her so much.

Thank you so, so much for sharing this story. I’m really sorry you had to go through that and experience such pain, but those words from Carrie are incredibly beautiful, powerful and inspiring. It’s wonderful to read them now, under these tragic circumstances, and I think they represent exactly what Carrie would want to say to those who are feeling defeated and heartbroken about her death.

I’m going to end this post with them, since they deserve to be remembered:
