Busy.

when you’re busy finding my faults,

I was busy patching up empty holes in me

when you’re busy comparing me with others,

I was busy finding my qualities

when you’re busy scolding me,

I was busy trying to calm myself down

when you’re busy acknowledging things I didn’t do,

I was busy filling up spaces you were supposed to fill

when you’re busy getting mad at me for not being a perfect person,

I was busy trying to love myself

when you’re busy taking care of anything else but me,

I was busy trying to find an excuse for you

when you’re busy getting your life back,

I was busy trying to find happiness for me

when you’re busy critiquing me,

I was busy trying to find another reason to live.

I guess that’s what life is,

everyone’s busy with themselves,

turning blind eye to the others,

forgetting to do their role and letting the time passed to erase everything.
