In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic records are a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future. They are believed by theosophists to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the etheric plane known as “Akasha”. There are anecdotal accounts but there is no scientific evidence for the existence of the Akashic records. Simply put, The Akashic Records are records recorded of every event, sequence, lifetime in the soul’s evolutionary journey from its inception up until it returns to Nirvana. All Akashic Records are kept the the Great Hall of Records in the Akasha.

What do you understand of the Akashic Records?

Not much. I only know what they are: a compendium of all knowledge of the human experience, or all knowledge in general. Sort of like the universe’s mega-library. It’s supposed to exist in the astral plane or some other non-physical plane of existence, and it can allegedly be accessed through astral projection or trance. I think of it kind of like tapping into a collective human consciousness, one that includes the knowledge of people from both the past and present, and possibly the future. I haven’t experienced this or even tried, as I am undecided about what I think of astral projection or out-of-body experiences in general.

For many people, the idea of a giant bug perched on their nose is the stuff of nightmares. But for Adrian Kozakiewicz (@insecthaus_adi), it’s a dream come true. “I want people to pay attention to the beauty of insects – their colors, shapes, the way they behave. These are amazing animals!” Born in Poland, Adrian moved to Germany when he was 12 and discovered tropical insects in a pet store. Now 20 years old, Adrian travels to the rainforests and jungles of southeast Asia multiple times a year on insect hunting expeditions. He has more than 70 species in his collection, making him one of the largest insect breeders in Europe. “My favorite is a very big and very rare mantis species from Malaysia called Toxodera beieri,” or the Dragon Mantis, says Adrian, who specializes in praying mantises. “She’s the queen of all the mantis species.” As for those nightmares? Adrian understands. “Most of my species are very large and look like aliens,” he says. “It’s natural for people to be afraid of animals they don’t know.”
