I had fun with these blind contours! I wanted to do LMFAO the most, but the dog really called to me.

Here are some of the ideas I sketched up. I went with Edgar since it was the easiest and meant the most to me at the time.

For my final project, it explores themes of isolation and loneliness, serving as a space to express my anxieties, worries, and the aspects of my life that feel imperfect or troubling. The box was like a cage to me, and lifting the veil (blanket) revealed me, hunched and hiding under a blanket, weeping sadly. As you see on the walls, there are written worries and anxieties that i deal with constantly in my life. I wanted to capture the weight of these emotions, giving voice to the thoughts that often go unspoken. This project is both a personal outlet and an attempt to articulate the complexities of solitude and self-doubt, something that is very personal and heavy to me.

My inspiration for my project was for isolation and loneliness, as well as written notes surrounding me expressing my anxieties and worries and everything i find wrong with my life.

I based my wire project off of old cave paintings and my favorite animal, which are dogs.

Title: Electric Dreams

I decided to sculpt Edgar from the 1984 movie “Electric Dreams”. It is one of my favorite movies, and making merchandise for a movie that has none other than dvd releases was fun since now I have a tiny decoration for my room. Films in general are a big part of me, so doing this was a no brainer.
