Virgil’s Curse of “Your Actions Have Consequences”
To catch your enemy in a web of their own making; expose them for their lies, deceit, abuse, or other bullshit for which the consequences are misfortune, misery, and perhaps even ostracization for their actions.
This is a very strong, multifaceted spell. Use it wisely, protect yourself, and most importantly: Find some comfort and maybe even some joy in the fact that your target has what’s coming to them, and they will soon be seen for who exactly they are.
Items:
Black box with mirrors lining the inside. (this can be as fancy or thrifty as you want. You can use a wooden box with mirrors lining the inside. You can line a shoebox with aluminum foil and paint the outside black. You can make a box out of black paper and glue some pieces of mirror or other reflective coating to the inside. Jars can work too: As long as your vessel can be painted black, is sealable, and has some sort of reflective interior, you’re good to go.)
Hematite: attract negativity
Garnet: so others may see them for what they are, and side with you
Sulfur powder: for chaos, cursing, attracting negativity to target
Black Pepper: to cause trouble
Cayenne Pepper: to bring about pain, anxiety, and strength to the spell
Red pepper flakes: To injure their pride, attract misfortune, cause pain
Thistle thorns: to stick the curse to the target, fill their lives with sharp, hurtful experiences, and to promote helplessness (anything pointy and sharp will work fine. I used thistle from my yard specifically because it’s a blight on my garden, a nuisance, and hurts like hell every time I try to pull them up even while wearing gloves, which is exactly the vibe I’m going for here)
Foxtails: To stick the spell to the target, to be a nuisance, to cause discomfort (once again, anything that fits this description works fine. Thistles, thorns, burrs, anything that likes to stick to you and your pets and is a pain to get off will work.)
Lavender: depression, restlessness
Rosemary: taint their dreams, cause paranoia, cloud their vision
Ginger: bitterness, strengthen spell
Coffee beans: awaken the target, strengthen the spell, promote anxiety and insomnia
Dragon’s blood incense and ash: bring unwanted attention, expose them for who they are, destroy all that’s good in their life, adds additional power to your spell
Black fabric
Red thread
Red or black candle
Paper with name of target
Optional: Paper with sigil of of your choice (can be for misfortune, misery, revenge, exposure, anything really.)
Steps:
1: Gather up all your materials before beginning.
2: Set your wards or protections, cast a circle, do whatever it is that helps you set the intention of the spell while protecting yourself. Now is a good time to light your Dragon’s Blood incense to not only set the tone and start the spell, but also give you time to collect the ashes.
3: Write your target’s full name and alias(es) on a piece of paper.
3b: (optional) if you also choose to use a sigil, write this on a piece of paper as well
4: Get the fabric, and fill with the herbs, spices, ash, and papers.
5: Tie the bundle together, tie off with red thread. Make sure it is mostly ball-shaped. Seal with candle wax if needed.
6: Draw a face on the fabric, preferably a face you imagine your target making when met with the consequences of their actions. Envision your target while doing so. Envision your target being filled with discord, misery, negativity, pain, etc, and drawing unwanted attention for all that they have done.
7: Draw an ear on the side of the head. Whisper into the ear the things you want them to feel guilt, pain, misery, and chaos for. Tell them the things you want them to constantly hear within their own head. Tell them everything you wish you could say to their face. Be mean. Be vicious. Be furious. Be petty. Target their insecurities, fears, and weaknesses.
8: Place the bundle and stones inside the black mirrored box.
9: Before closing the box, recite the incantation below.
Let -name- be tangled by the web they made
Let them struggle like never before
Let them be exposed for who they are
Let them feel all that lies in store
The web is one of their own making
Woven from their own lies
Discord will follow close behind
‘Til their every hope and dream dies
All that’s good within their life
Will sour, fester, and rot
Misery befalls them with no reprieve
From their own actions, brought
Let -name- be tangled by the web they made
Let them struggle like never before
Let them be exposed for who they are
Let them feel all that lies in store.
10: Close the box, seal with red or black wax.
11: The spell is done. Now is the time for some cleansing and self-care.
When you feel the curse is done or the target has suffered enough, reopen the box, burn the bundle, and cleanse the box for later use.
Tips and Tricks:
This is a personal recommendation, but I find it helpful to handle the box while wearing sunglasses as it offers protection from the reflection of the curse coming back to you while opening, casting, and cleansing.

Lemon Hex
A hex to sour someone’s life
Lemon
Paper with name of person or picture of them
Thread or twine
Additional spices depending on how spicy you feel like being
Cut lemon in half. Place name or photo in between the two halves of lemon. Sprinkle spices before closing the lemon and binding it back together with thread or twine. Place lemon in a safe space ( maybe a jar outside) and let it rot. The initial souring will be subtle and depending on how bad you want it to get it is how long you leave it. Once their life has soured to your liking or you feel like canceling the hex just bury the lemon in the earth and the hex will fade with time.

Shaker Jar Curse
Ever know so vile you cannot wish more ill will upon them than you already do? Well, this is the one stop, meanest, nastiest, curse I could come up with. Here’s what you are going to need.
please remember to curse responsibly, this is a VERY powerful curse and really should only be used in a dire situation and for the worst of the worst people. Remember, if someone or yourself is in a terrible situation, please rely on the mundane before consulting magic.
A medium or large sized jar
Black thread or twine
A taglock for your target(full name, birthday, picture, the more specific the better)
Sigils with your intention
Chili pepper
Ground ginger
Black garlic(regular works fine)
Cheyenne pepper
Pepper flakes
Cloves
Whole black peppercorns
vinegar( I used red)
vodka( IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE USING IT OR HAVE ACCESS TO IT)
Dead bugs( i used a spider and a stink bug) check your musty basements for dead bugs
Thorns( i used rose thorns)
Rusted nails and screws
Pins and needles
Black and red candles
How to:
Write your taglock and sigils on a piece of paper along with your intentions, what do you want to happen to this person, what are you angry about, how do you want this curse to affect them.
Add your ingredients to the jar, I recommend doing the vinegar last for a lack of mess. Speak your intentions over the jar, ask your deities for help if you so desire
Seal the lid of the jar tightly, take your string, knot it nine times and each time you knot it, speak your intentions and channel your anger and pain. Then knot the string around your jar and tie tightly
Take your candles and melt the wax on the top and seam of the jar, make sure you do it especially around the lid to prevent leaks and also that negative energy from escaping, do as much wax as you like
Shake the jar whenever you feel angry or hurt to make the effects of the curse worsen and intensify.

hexxing / cursing / jinxing / banishing ingredients.
(anything can be used with the right intent, these are just my favorites, and what i use them with the intent of .) ☆
dead crickets (crickets are often loud in life and disturb sleep, dead crickets to send auditory hallucinations.)
gone bad lavender (bad dreams, nightmares, issues falling/staying asleep.)
dragons blood incense/smoke (chaos, destruction, sometimes physical illness.)
cigarette butts (i like to imagine the smoke getting stuck in their lungs, physical illness.)
dead wasps/wasp nest (getting someone where it hurts, unexpected loss and or pain.)
rotten chili pepper (regular chili pepper works too, but i find that rotten gives the victim an extra "kick" )
vinegar/a sour wine (sending their sour/bitter energy back at them.)
mistletoe (loneliness, BUTTTT can be used for one hell of a forced love spell on someone you hate- make someone they hate OBSESSED with them.)
broken glass (breaking them down, causing pain.)
animal bones (extreme illness, physical harm.)
cemetery dirt (bonus points if its from a graveyard an ancestor is buried in.. ancestors can be SO helpful.)
blood (obviously be careful, blood magick is definitely not beginner friendly, but this can send the jinx/curse/hex, whatever after their bloodline.)
razor blades (pain, difficulty.)
broken egg shells (break them down yourself, put all your aggression into it, imagine you're destroying their trust, i use this for paranoia.)
a picture of your victim, a piece of paper with their name/birthday (bonus points for hometown.)
thorns (trouble in romance, arguing.)
tiger lily (sickness, confusion, lethargy.)
*gentle reminder,
a JINX is an inconvenience.
a HEX is bad luck/illnesss.
a CURSE is direct harm.
blessed be! ★

A Change of Heart
aka "face the consequences of your actions until you have a change of heart." Similar to A Gentle Curse, but focused more on the "karma" and change aspect.
you'll need:
a jar (any size, any kind. i used a spaghetti sauce jar)
a white candle (for cleansing the jar)
white table salt: purifying
chili powder: fast results
hot sauce: repelling the negativity from the situation
coffee: gives energy to the spell, grounds it in reality
your written intentions
a taglock of the person you wish to affect
garlic: protecting you from any negative outcomes
sun water: growth, changing outcomes, healing
cleanse the jar with the candle's smoke. add ingredients in order, while visualizing your target and intent. seal the jar, and shake it as hard as you can. whenever you have a toxic encounter with the person, shake the jar asap to recharge the spell.
if spell does not succeed, consider therapy. /lh

Feed Your Enemy to the Crows 💀
The academy I attend has a large murder of crows that gathers around it each and every day. It makes it convenient to utilize them for hexing after everyone has left for the day.
This hex is a long-term one, meant to gradually chip away at your target’s vitality, good fortune and prosperity. And it’s very simple. Feed them to the crows.
If you have a local murder of crows that hang around, you can very easily befriend them with some food. (Try not to do this in an outdoor gathering space, like a park, board walk or a picnic area, where the crows will become a nuisance to the locals, it’s rude).
Take a bag of bird feed, or any bird safe food, such as:
Eggs and their shells
Unsalted nuts
Seeds
Fruits
Vegetables
Chicken
Write the name of your target on the bag, imagine that the food holds the essence of the person you wish to drain. Now, whenever you take food from the bag, visualize yourself taking away the power of your target.
Throw the food to the crows, and ask that they carry your target’s gifts and happiness away as they eat.
Repeat every day or as often as you can until you are satisfied with your target’s demise. And be sure to thank the crows for their service.

How to make a Servitor.
Servitors are artificial spirits that are made by the practitioner, and are used to complete tasks, or goals set by the petitioner to help him or her in their life, or magical practice. Before you jump right into creating a servitor there are things you must plan out beforehand. It’s a lot like building a blueprint. You don’t just start making the house before you have a blueprint. Here are the things you’re going to need to think about before building your very own servitor:
1) Purpose
Everything needs a purpose, and it’s your job to pick your purpose for your servitor. A purpose can be anything. You could want your servitor to protect you, or your family. You could want your servitor to help you pass a test. You could have your servitor torture people in their dreams… You know whatever you want. It is important to give your servitor a purpose, because it is dangerous to make a servitor without a purpose. If your servitor does not have a purpose it may go rogue, and we may have a situation like that Jewish story of "The Golem of Prague", who goes on a murderous rampage. Once you have your purpose feel free to move on to the next step.
2)Spiritual appearance
Now you must create an appearance for your servitor that it will take on the astral, and etheric planes of existence. It is important to keep in mind when making your servitor’s spiritual appearance that the spiritual appearance should reflect the task that they were assigned to complete. If the servitor is for better communication with your peers, then it’s spiritual appearance shouldn’t be a Azathoth looking creature, but maybe perhaps some type of human or anthropomorphic entity. Besides that the you can create any type of spiritual appearance you would like. Male, female, tall, short it’s up to you. You can even say “f*** it, and I’m making this one a shapeshifter”. So have some fun, and do whatever you would like. You also might want to draw a picture, or get some representation of their form once you decide upon it for later steps in the servitor creation process.
3)Personality
This one’s pretty self-explanatory, and again you can pretty much pick whatever you would like. All we’re going to do is think of some personality traits that you would like your servitor to have, like charming, intelligent, funny, friendly, loyal, etc… So this one is pretty easy, and now that I think about it I have no idea what happens if you don’t give them a personality. I guess they turn into Kristen Stewart, or something. Anyway pick out your personality traits that you like, and move on to the next step.
4)Feeding
You like to eat, so do servitors. Feeding a servitor is a lot like charging a Sigil. and you can use all the same methods in order to feed a servitor in the same way you use to charge a sigil. You can also set up some methods of feeding for the servitor that the servitor can do on their own behalf. You could tell your servitor to feed on something like sunlight, or crystals that you have lying around. Not setting up feeding methods, or not feeding your servitor will result in it going rogue, or it finding its own food sources which may not always be more preferable.
5)Lifespan
There are some people that say the servitors lifespan should not be very long, but in my experience this has not been a problem. In my experience servitors only act up once they do not have a purpose anymore, or if acting up is programmed into their nature, or if they are not being fed. Life span is very based on purpose. If you want your servitor to help you pass a test, then its lifespan should only be until after the test then it will return back to the energy of source. If you wanted your servitor to protect your property then you would need a lifespan that you can end at any time. So then you would need a phrase, or ritual to end its life when the time comes. This phrase, or ritual would not have to be elaborate. It’s never happened to me before, but being on a system like that one could in theory make the servitor want to have self preservation. You would be the only thing that could kill it. So if they took you out then they could go on living. I don’t know if it happens, or not, but that’s just a theory. A Servitor Theory! Thanks for watching…. <– (Tell me if you get that joke.) I always tell my servitor if they try to harm me or anyone I care about they will be terminated immediately. That’s a good enough safety net I guess let’s move on to the next step.
6)The Housing
Now we need housing to ground the servitor to the physical plane. Housing can be things like a rock, a staff, a doll, something you made out of clay, etc… Servitors by nature do not need housing, but it is better to have a physical representation of them for control, and feeding purposes. Housing can be anything, but I would stay away from certain metals because energy does not flow as good through them as it does other materials. It is also better to have a housing made, or created by you, and your hands. Once you find what housing you would like to use you are ready to go onto the next step.
7)Naming
This one is super simple all you have to do is pick a name for your servitor. Literally can be anything Meaningful, or otherwise. All you have to choose a name, and then you can move on to the next step.
8)Making a Sigil
Now you should make a sigil out of the name of your servitor, or out of the purpose of your servitor. You will use this sigil as a true representation of your servitor. If you do not know how to make a sigil you can always Google it, or you should be able to find it by searching back through my posts.
Once you have your sigil you can draw it, or carve it into your housing for your servitor. This would be recommended, but if you do not want to mark the sigil on the housing you can always put the sigil on a piece of paper, and put it underneath your housing during the “Bringing the servitor to life” step.
9) Bringing the servitor to life
Now we just bring together all the materials that we have gathered thus far into a ritual. First thing you’ll want to do is cleanse the area. This can be done through any cleansing method such as the Lesser banishing ritual, smudging, or clap cleansing. Next you’re going to want to cast a circle or use some other form of protection technique. Then you’re going to want to start charging your housing, and your sigil through any form of charging method. Now you’re going to want to enter a Gnostic state of consciousness where you can strongly in vision the energy that you are manipulating. Close your eyes, and in your mind’s eye begin to mold the energy into the spiritual appearance of your servitor. Strongly visualize every little detail of your servitor’s being. Then breathe life into your servitor by just intending for the energy to be alive and to be conscious. Once you have molded your energy into the spiritual appearance of your servitor, then in your head, or out loud call to the servitor. Tell the servitor it’s name, it’s purpose, it’s personality, it’s feeding methods, and it’s lifespan. More focus, and intention you use to create the servitor more put together the servitor will be. Now your servitor is done, and it is alive. Undo your circle, and before you send out your servitor for the task you want them to complete I usually wait one day, and feed my servitor a couple times. I find when I first create a servitor it is incredibly weak so I gave it one day to become a little bit stronger before it starts its task.

Servitor Design Template
As used for tech magic, but can be an outline for general servitor creation. It is suggested to establish these in this particular order, as function/behavior informs shape, and shape informs physical requirements/limitations.
Function: [what it does, expand into multiple numbered functions to prevent confusion, give explicit active/command functions as well as a passive/downtime function]
Code of Conduct: [ethics guidelines, parameters for offensive/defensive action, parameters for giving out information and practitioner privacy]
Motivations: [why it seeks to perform its function(s), what interests it, does it have a drive to achieve a goal]
Feelings: [how it feels, why does it seek the motivations, is it lonely/bored, is it subservient, is it happy, etc, use feelings to give the motivations meaning]
Behavior: [how it works, what processes does it go through in order to achieve motivations and function(s)]
Energy: [how energy signature feels/looks, be descriptive in color, texture, feeling, smell, any senses derived from manipulation of above data]
Alignment: [elemental type, if any, primarily used to associate servitor with a specific type of magic as defined by the system of the practitioner]
Shape: [type or species, drawing or using a doll maker for ease of design, does not have to match energy feeling colors/senses but helps to be similar]
Name: [name, something easy to remember/spell in case of emergency]
Residence: [where it lives during the downtime, give it a home to return to]
Food: [what it eats, whether aether/astral food or energy sources, give it multiple sources of energy]
Resonance: [object that can be used to call it or, alternatively, object that it is bound to, not immediately necessary]
Limitations: [where it can go, what defines servitors spatial limitations and boundaries, does it require the practitioners permission to go past boundaries]
Abilities: [what it can do, include magical abilities here, offensive/defensive, healing, travel, and communication]
Referenced from “Servitor Magick” by Oliver P. Hart (on Kindle).
My personal commentary:
Servitors are intended to be entities that feed off of a practitioner’s energy and exist only as that practitioner demands.
You can design alternatives for your servitor to decide/enact as their personality is established – if they want a secondary human/creature form for shapeshifting, if they want to be able to learn new abilities/functions, etc. It is important to note in your design that these additional traits or alternative actions are to be approved by the practitioner first.
Although servitors are meant to be dependent on the practitioner, one should consider their lifespan and how you intend to use them. If you would like to give your servitor extra motivations/feelings that guide them to become more independent (with permission first), be sure to plan how they would potentially survive. I designed a drive for my research-oriented servitor to bond with a consenting independent entity in order to learn new things and live a full life.
Most servitors are destroyed/reabsorbed by their practitioners, and as a whole, servitors do not have independence or negative feelings towards being reabsorbed. Unless an alternate lifestyle is programmed in for them.
Tech magic servitors can be written in code or in text in a secure program and activated by the practitioner’s method of choice, and can be altered as desired. If your servitor has a form of sentience, I would suggest speaking to them before making changes.

Ideas for Charging/Activating Sigils:
Sigils are just so darn flexible. I love them very much. Here’s a bunch of things you can do to them. I’ve only tried about five of these, but I think any of them would work. Obviously some are dependent on certain beliefs such as animism; I just wanted to give a bunch of examples of some of the ways you can fill sigils with power, because they’re just so darn cool and once you stop thinking of these you see opportunities everywhere.
Trace it into the condensation on windows/shower glass/mirrors (mirrors are especially good if you want the sigil to affect you in a casting)
Tape it to your window on the full moon/moon phase corresponding to the sigil
Make a specially designated sigil-charging envelope that you can put your new sigil papers in. This could be decorated and have even more sigils on it specifically for charging.
Put it under your favorite houseplant and ask them to help out.
Place it in the folds of your favorite blanket/item of clothing and imagine it soaking up that good energy.
Place it under a candle and imagine that, as the wax drips down, the energy of the flame drips down to fill your sigil with power.
Use it as a bookmark in a book that exemplifies the intent of your sigil.
Consecrate a special notebook or notepad to collect your sigils in. When you add a new one, it draws upon the collective power of all of your finished sigils.
Similarly, you could enchant a particular pen so that whatever sigil you draw with it is activated or charged.
Whittle it into a stick (not a living tree. it’s bad for them.) that you behold as having the appropriate magical properties.
Sew the sigil into something.
Trace your sigil in the air with a wand while speaking some words of power.
Tape the sigil paper onto an instrument you play and play a song that corresponds to the sigil’s purpose (or just infuses the sigil with the sacred vibrations of music).
Trace the sigil into a sauce with a utensil and eat it. (Or, if it’s a condiment like ketchup, you could squeeze it.)
Place it in the box/bag with your favorite tarot/oracle deck and ask the deck to impart its wisdom upon the sigil.
Draw the sigil on the back of a photo of something the sigil is related to.
Hide the sigil in the background of an art project that follows a similar purpose or theme.
Fold the sigil paper a particular number of times while saying particular words.
Form the sigil on the ground out of dead leaves/sticks/debris you find outside. Allow it to disperse naturally. (This would be really cool on a beach.)
Trace the shape of the sigil in some incense smoke so that it curls around your finger/wand.
Burn the paper. (SAFELY.)
Give it to your favorite stuffie and ask the stuffie to guide your sigil towards its purpose and being activated, perhaps also watching over the manifestation itself.
Trace the sigil onto your skin using makeup/lotion/moonwater etc
Just cum on the dang thing. (Masturbation: a classic.)

🌙 deity devotion journals
if you’re anything like me, the desire to meet and communicate with a new deity might be stunted by the idea of actually, ya know, communicating. whatever the reason (you don’t use divination, cant speak aloud, are afraid of being overheard, can’t meditate easily, etc.), initiating contact with deities can seem intimidating, and might even deter you from following the god or pantheon at all. but rest assured, there are easier and more discreet methods of talking, other than whipping out a dozen tarot decks and chanting pagan prayers
💫Why a Devotional Journal? What Is It?
devotional journals are journals dedicated to a specific deity or pantheon, where you can write messages, prayers, questions, or anything else you’d like to speak with Them about. i like to think of these journals like writing letters to a good friend- except your good friend is also a god!
☀️Beginning a Devotional Journal
depending on personal preference, this can be as intricate or as simple as you please. if you feel inclined to introduce yourself, explain what you’re doing or why you’re keeping a journal, or anything else, then feel free to! when i started mine i kept it as easy as writing “dear Apollo,” in a composition notebook, then explained my reasons and goals for keeping a journal specifically for Him. so honestly? go wild
⚡️What To Put in a Devotional Journal
prayers
Their name written in its orignal language
stories about your day
your relationship goals
tarot spreads for/to Them
song lyrics
poetry
hymns
Their family tree
things like the delphic maxims (hellenic) or 10 commandments (christian)
pressed flowers
printed pictures of what They look like to you
artwork
a list of things you associate with Them
gratitudes
what your altar to Them looks like (or what you wish it could look like)
messages you’ve received from Them
devotional acts
sigils/runes/etc
Their symbols
Their myths and lore
offering ideas
Their sacred animals, plants, cities, etc
famous works about Them
if you can think of anything else to put in a devotion journal, please feel free to add on! no matter how crazily beautiful or inconspicuously simple you make yours, the important thing to remember is your gods appreciate all efforts to strengthen your relationship with Them

SOAP Journaling: A Devotional Framework
One of the things I’ve been looking for, for ages now really, is the equivalent of what I got out of doing devotionals when I was still Christian. For those that don’t know, a lot of churches, but fundamentalist ones in particular I’ve noticed, often use little booklets for guided biblical study to help cultivate a regular practice. I usually encountered them at Bible Camp or on Mission Trips with the goal being for people to spend time alone focusing on the same themes.
While they could be problematic, they did offer me something I immediately lost when I became pagan - a structured way to deepen my spirituality that didn’t require other people. Ritual is often too energetically demanding of me to use as a consistent source spiritual growth. Studying and researching is amazing but it usually happens organically, it’s hard to cement it into a coherent practice.
That’s when I went digging through Christian blogs to see what ideas were out there in the way of devotional frameworks. How did people write these devotionals? There admittedly wasn’t much, but one such framework I stumbled on to that seemed promising was SOAP Journaling.
SOAP stands for:
Scripture
Observations
Application
Prayer
I’ve only experimented with this a little bit at this point and I don’t intend for this post to be definitive. What I want to do is put this out to the pagan community for other people to experiment with. I know there have to be others that are looking for a more structured spiritual practice that isn’t contingent on how much energy you have or what materials you can get your hands on.
Scripture
Scripture can loosely be understood to be spiritually significant text. It’s straightforward when approaching this from Christian perspective. So for the Christian witches among us, the Bible might be all you need in this regard.
I’ve personally been experimenting with using Tarot Cards as scripture. 3-4 cards seem to be the ideal amount. For those still in the closet - playing cards or dice would work here just as well. I found with the DnD Dice system I posted about earlier that the complexity was similar to about 3-4 cards though I’ve yet to plug them into this framework.
Historical texts could work well - histories, hymns, academic papers, general spiritual texts. Long form tumblr posts, modern myths, youtube videos - so many things qualify as spiritually significant text that it’s impossible to list them all here. I’d really love to see what people use in this category. I could use the inspiration to branch out from divinatory sources.
Observations
When I work with tarot as text, I literally just write down the meanings of the cards here. When I’ve processed the meanings, I might apply my own take to sort through the particulars of my situation in relation to them, make a note of any intuitive hunches I’ve got, and try to reflect on my biases.
I think what makes a good observation section is the same as taking good notes. Whatever helps you process what you’re seeing, hearing, and feeling. At the end of the observation section, I aim to feel like I’ve really understood what the cards are trying to convey to me or have the self awareness to know that I’m just not able to.
Application
This section is usually short for me. It’s usually a few notes on actual material actions I know I need to take in response to the observations along with some notes on general life lessons. This section varies by how in my face the cards decide to be honestly.
I think if I was using other materials I’d likely include other things I wanted to look up and a list of other possible scripture sources that might tie in with whatever I’m working with. Here again I think there’s a lot of room for innovation. I think the definition of application here could really be expanded.
Maybe it’s ritual, spellwork, devotional artwork or other creative practices. I want to experiment heavily here. I hope others will share what works for them.
Prayer
I usually pray, I will admit. To whichever of my deities seems most interested, but usually to the Morrigan. I have meditated sometimes. I don’t think this has to be theistic for those atheist witches out there. I think of it as a way to sit with the message and wrap up the whole affair in a meaningful way. I imagine there’s a multitude of ways to do this that I haven’t considered honestly.
Closing Thoughts
This is the framework I’m likely to use for the next week or two of #100DaysOfTarot which is one of the reasons I wanted to post about it; so there would be a frame of reference for the time of introspection and practice I’m doing. I’ve found this framework pretty accessible so far but I’m excited to see how other people innovate. If you know of anyone else doing something like this - please link me! I’m really into testing and learning about frameworks in this vein.
As always, if you have any questions let me know and I hope this helps!
It’s been a fruitful journey for me so far.

How to Write Your Own Spells
There are lots of ways to create spells, from planning everything to the minutest detail ahead of time to absolutely flying by the seat of your pants in the moment. If you'd like to write your own spells, either for use in your craft or as a creative exercise, here are some suggested steps that I use in my own practice:
1) Determine the intent or goal of your spell. Decide, first and foremost, what you want the spell to do. Refine your goal if necessary and try not to be too nebulous. Your intent tells the spell what it's meant to do. A more focused goal may increase the chances of success.
2) Determine how you want the spell to manifest. Decide how the spell should work and what the result should look like. This is a good time to build in a sign of success, especially for spells that may not work in an obvious or visible way.
3) Determine what or whom the spell will affect. If the spell is to have a target, be it a person or a place or an animal or an object, decide what that should be and how they or it will be represented in the casting.
4) Determine how long the spell is meant to work. If your spell is timebound or has a deadline, decide what that will be. If the spell is meant to work long-term, you may want to check in and refresh it from time to time. (Not every spell will be timebound. Many spells will simply expire when they have fulfilled their purpose or if they are blocked or circumstances are not favorable.)
5) Determine the timing of the spell, if applicable. Not everyone uses celestial or astrological timing for their spells, but if you do, look into the prevailing conditions and decide on an advantageous time for your casting. (Please note that magical timing can only enhance your spell and casting something on the "wrong" day will not necessarily cause it to fail.)
6) Determine what methods and materials you want to use to cast the spell. Decide how you're going to go about performing the casting, whether you're doing a ritual or making a charm or just using energy. If you're going to need a ritual space or physical components, plan that out and make sure it fits with what you want to do.
7) Determine the words, if any, which will empower the spell. If you want to include a prayer or a petition or a song or an incantation with your spell, decide what that should be. This is not strictly necessary and the words need not be spoken aloud. (Rhyming incantations are not required, but if you prefer them that way, you can certainly do so.)
8) Prepare the materials for casting the spell. Get all your necessaries together ahead of time. Make sure you have everything you need, that tools and components are in good and useable condition, prepare your workspace, and make sure everything is within easy reach so you don't have to stop and search for things in the middle of your casting. (And for goodness sake, if you're working with open flame, observe fire safety and tie your hair and sleeves back.)
9) Finalize details and perform the casting. When you're ready to begin, try to eliminate as many possibilities for distraction or interruption as possible. Go over your spell and components one more time, then proceed with casting the spell.
10) Record the particulars for future reference and to determine how well the spell worked. Make a record of the spell, including your goal, how it should manifest, the words and components used, the date of the casting, the casting method and procedure, and how the casting went. If there are any additional details or observations that seem important, include those as well. This will serve as a useful learning tool in the future and will allow you to check your work if the results make themselves known.
It's useful to write spells from time to time if the inspiration strikes you, in order to better understand how they fit together and how they work. Plus it's a fun and creative journaling exercise and recording the spells you cast a great way to measure your progress later on.

Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Happy Thorsday - Erce, Mother Earth
Well here we are another Thor’s Day and another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic) mythological characters. This week it’s Erce, Eorce mentioned in the Aecerbot.
Her name has been translated to ‘holy’, ‘truth’, ‘pure’, and ‘genuine’ and other variations on that theme. Meant in a feminine form. She is called the 'Earth Goddess’, or 'Earth Mother’. Her name has likely deriving form a later form of the Germanic Goddess Eorce, again meaning Mother of the earth.
She was involved and given all day offering for spring rites, and was likely also offered to for healing and for a safe birth. Tied up with agriculture primarily with items such as honey, salt and fennel offered to her.
Eorce was considered the lady of the plow, sowing and reaping. worshipped as the earth herself. It’s been suggested that she is linked to or related to the other early goddesses like Herke / Harke and Eostre.
