You woke in cold sweat holding onto your chest where your heart is. Your breathing is uneven and your eyes are full of tears, You jump out of your bed putting on your slippers and running to Home. You knock on the door harshly and worried your eyes full of concern a worry. Wally opens the door eyes full of life due to him not being a person who sleeps. “Oh dearest? What’s wron—“ he was cut off when you tackle him in a hug, crying into his small form as he falls onto the floor. He was shocked but soon started to rub your back, “Dearest? What has you crying so much?” He tilts his head, he lifts your chin to face him.

“I- I thought you were g-gone! Home w-wouldn’t let you leave! You w-were crying!- and and—“ you were cut off with him kissing your nose, and helping you up and towards his room. “Dearest if that ever happened do you think I would be here with you..?” He liked how you were so concerned about him.

He guided you to his bed and pats a spot by him as you lay there and pull him into your chest. He purrs softly due to the warmness as he stares up at you. Your heart and breathing has calmed down now, as you hold onto him tight. Thinking he might disappear.

You walk into Wally’s or Home and look around for the shorter puppet. You can hear soft music playing from down a hall and you follow it.

You chuckle opening the door to see him painting while humming. The song was being played on his small rainbow music player, it was ‘Good Old Fashion Lover Boy’ by Queen. You knew this song by heart.

“Ooo Love, Ooo Lover boy~”

You hear him sing softly as he finishes his painting, you are behind him peering over his shoulder. “Ooh, Hey boy.” You sing and you notice him jump a little and turns to see you.

He flushed a faint red but smiles, “Oh, Hello Dearest!” He smiles softly but turns to a confused smile as you take his hand from his tool and dance with him to the song.

You sing to the song as you slow dance with him, him being shorter and not the lead causes him to blush more his cheeks shading a deeper red. You chuckle and Dip him. You get close to his ear and whisper…

4/8/2023(now I wanted to post this on the day I made this but I got so nervous!!)

Reader has a bad day but Wally comes to cheer them up:

Now…today wasn’t the best out of all of em. You tripped and fell on your face infront of all of everyone, you burnt a pie, and the worst one possible while painting with Wally you spilled the paint on your shirt, you wanted to cry so bad. Wally was sitting there as he looked over to the side only to see your water filled eyes looking down at your now colored stained shirt.

’oh dear’ he thought as his eyes drooping now, he got up and started walking towards you and you looked up at him on the verge of tears he then cupped your face and softly shushed you

“It’ll be alright dear, please don’t cry it absolutely breaks my heart to see you like this. I promise we’ll try and find a way to get this stain out of your shirt, okay?” He look at you with a soft smile, eyes reassuring. You nodded and got up with him as he led you to his room sitting you down and telling you he’ll be right back.

Of course you knew it’s because you were on the taller side and his clothes wouldn’t look right on you but he ran to Poppy’s to get a bigger shirt for you and ran all the way back, oh his dedication towards you was something that made your heart melt. The way he would do anything to make you smile , or the way that no matter how busy he is he would instantly drop everything just to be by your side.

“I hope this works dear”

He said as he came back with a new shirt and left it there so you could change into, you made sure not to spread the already half dried paint and you changed into the new shirt. You walked out still embarrassed about what happened today

Noticing that your still sad he asked

“Do you want a hug? Or do you want to cuddle?” He knew your answer but still asked of course

“I just want you to hold me…please..” he then brung you back to his room and set you down on his bed, he then laid down and opened his arms you immediately ran into his arms his scent filling your nose and the softness of his felt skin and cardigan

Burying your face into his chest and crying your eyes out

Not caring if your wetting his cardigan held you tighter letting your warmth surround him

“It’s okay it’s alright, let it out”

He kept quietly repeating “I’m here, I’ll always be here”

With everything of his filling some of your senses having touching him, him having an intoxicating scent, seeing him above you with the softest eyes you’ve ever seen of him, hearing his soft and soothing voice.

You felt safe. You felt safer than ever

You and Barnaby are talking under some of the apple trees in the neighborhood, Barnaby was a good- puppet to talk to. He’d always listen and understand you, he was always there when Wally was busy.

Barnaby and Julie always teased you about you getting all mushy about your Puppet boyfriend. You’d always brush it off and chuckle nervously while blushing.

“So tell me kiddo, What’s Wally buddy doing today?” The dog puppet asked as he smiled down at you, you smile up at him softly

*You tell Barnaby ‘He’s helping frank with sorting his library. He’s been gone for a day due to its large bookshelf.’*

Barnaby laughs and pats your head, “it’s okay kid, I’m sure Wally will show up today!” He chuckles as you pout and puff your cheeks. Seemingly really wanting to hug Wally.

Now that made your neck snap towards the voice, you gasped and jumped up and ran to the short puppet. You picked him up and hugged him tightly, he wrapped his legs around your waist and his arms around your neck.

He purred as you pet his hair, he seemed as if he really missed you. Wally honestly doesn’t like to be far away from his human for to long.

He seemed to nuzzle into your neck, his fuzzy soft skin making you giggle. He chuckles knowing it tickles you a bit, “want to go back to Home?” You nod at his words.
