Friendly reminder that the intro to Lion King….the non english bits leading up to the “circle of life” is not random yelling in *Africa voice* it is an actual language, Zulu, spoken by 10 million people, it is the most widely spoken language (out of 11) in the country of South Africa (1 out of the 54 countries in the continent of Africa, the continent home  to somewhere between 1500-2000 languages and around 3000 distinct ethnic groups)

this isn’t to say that you have to friggin learn the language to sing along with a disney film, it just means that you should be mindful, respectful, appreciative and respectful. don’t be yelling out whatever noise comes in to your head when you hear it

Future design update concepts for Mortasheen's centipede and millipede monsters?

Their old designs (scolomorph and millipatter in the bogleech.com mortasheen archive) were too much arthropod, not enough arthropod-human hybrid and I was never quite satisfied with them actually having so many arms or legs:

I always like the arthropoids more when I try and stick to a technically humanoid body plan, but see how well that can capture the feel of the animal half. Like how do you make a monster FEEL like a centipede without a long, segmented body? What's left that says "millipede" if something only has four limbs to work with?

New house centipede concept while I was at it :)

It may be cheating to give them extra fingers even. Final versions might stick to just five digit hands? Though maybe there'd be some fingers that fork or branch?

decided to binge the Harley episodes because i had heard about his iconicnes for years now and needed to see it in person, and GODDDDD this guy sucks so much it's kinda fantastic. He is absolutely fucking awful i'm a little bit obsessed. I want to watch him get run over by a bus, he's quickly becoming one of my favorite anime only characters what's wrong with him.
