LIFE IN A MINISTRY

Disclaimer: I'm not bragging my experience, this is based only from what I've learned from studying the word of God and from the years being in this ministry.

If you think that being in this kind of ministry is very easy and happy, sorry you got it all wrong. Being in this ministry is very challenging for my part, it is like going out of your comfort zone. But by God's help and grace I overcame it.

You need to commit and invest your life, time and effort, but you need to balance it also. Madaming investments 'to. Hindi ito yung tipo na 1-3 hrs na magserve ka, tapos na. Hindi lang natatapos sa pag share ng gospel. Kasi dapat yung buhay mo, pinoproclaim and nare-reflect din yung gospel. Hindi ka lang kasi nila kasama kapag magtuturo ka. Andun ka din sa mga tests nila sa buhay - nagmamasid, nagdadasal, nagpapayo (kahit madalas hindi ka pinakikinggan)

One of the youth leaders sa church namin ang nagsabi sa akin na naging meaningful at naging totoo unti-unti sa kanya ang mga salitang ito habang tumatagal sya sa ministry, "YOU CANNOT CHANGE THEM, YOU CAN ONLY LOVE THEM". Mahirap kaya. Mahirap mahalin ang taong kakakilala mo palang, at lalong mas mahirap mahalin ang taong hindi talaga kamahal-mahal. Ilalagay mo sila sa prayers mo araw-araw. But in a long run naging meaningful and very real din sya sa akin. Matagal nga lang. And yes frustrations and rejections will come, but remind yourself that their salvation does not depend on you, their salvation always depends on Christ. May mga panahon din na masasagad ka talaga ng husto, yung tipong gustong-gusto mo nang sumuko at may times na maha-high blood ka pa, (some of my close friends know if high blood na ako) but when that time comes always remind yourself that our identity is deeply rooted in Christ. Forever kang maging dependent sa grasya at habag ng Panginoon sa araw-araw.

Hindi madaling maging Youth Leader. At hindi rin po ako perpektong leader. Hindi mo rin po 'to ikayayaman. Pero yung pagmamahal nila sa'yo ay higit pa sa yaman. Mahirap at masakit man ito, patuloy ka lang. Walang nakakaalam ng mga sakit mo sa puso, kundi si Lord lang. Pero tandaan, Be FAITHFUL kahit sa maliliit na bagay at kahit na nahihirapan. Small victories, ika nga. Masasabi ko lang, lahat ng ito ay worth it, kapatid.

Isa pa na tinuro sa akin ay ang MAGPAHINGA kung kinakailangan. AS IN PAHINGA. Away from social media, away from personal issues ng mga bata, and to have a personal time with God.

Very recently, Yeng Constantino got attacked on her Instagram page for showing so much care for a pet she dearly loves, Julia the kitten.

Those who follow her would know that she is a cat person. But, only recently did she really get a cat to personally take care of.
