You know what’s fun ? you’re in the vibe. You’re writing up the 4th version of your book and you’re really feeling it. And then you realize that it’s getting way off track and the exposition is now 4 chapters longs so you restart it again.
One day, I’ll finish that book... one day....

Hey friends!
So... apparently a lot of you are just.... subscrib ing to that account where I am pretty much dead dead. So hello ! Hi and welcome !
I've been feeling the itch of wanting to write again. Maybe it's because I've been done with so many projects at the same time or it's been that beta reading I've been doing. But anyway, I'm trying my hand at that book again ! Neil Gaiman's style.
And you know what ? I already have to chapters written down in the spend of 2 hours of pomodoro method and I feel great about it :D So, in the vein of @wheeloffortune-design that I admire greatly, I will try to post book content on there once a week. Because they’re a true inspiration with all of that.
so, let’s do this !

Client sketch vs. final illustration
When someone commissions me, I absolutely love getting a rough sketch/doodle of their concept—it makes the first steps of an illustration (composition/posing) so much easier.
I'll never ever judge a client for a messy sketch!! (And also, no pressure to send something like this if you'd like the artist to take the creative reins on your piece.)

A short intro to my new Good Omens Harry Potter Au.
The ineffable supernatural entities were given tickets for Hogwarts express with an invitation from the school, since Aziraphale signed up to be a teacher here and Crowley did the same. The Them are here too :3

I am exhausted and suuuuuuper hungover, but I made great work this past week. I now know who to email about the publication on Hiero2, who to email about questions regarding a literary agent for Mrs. Victoria, how to work my children's book to standards of the industry; I also started to talk my way into comic book circles because I'm planning a series in the future and I want the way open for when I do, I hanged out with romance authors and publishers cause they're fun and have all the hot goss, and most of all, I saw a lot of friends that I had missed in the past few years.
For the curious, my main strategy for events (book fairs, book launches, comic expos, comic cons etc) is:
be there,
be friendly,
always have an example of your work with you,
don't be pushy,
ask to be presented to people instead of bothering them directly,
ask specific questions about specific projects,
ask what they need or want,
get contact info
have fun,
actually befriend the people because usually they're awesome and worth knowing and not means to an end,
and always stay until the end because that's when stuff happens.
It's mentally and physically exhausting :p I mean, I do think it's possible to get published without all that extra work, but having connections and people who know who you are makes it easier. Also, there's nothing like heading straight to a publisher's booth and ask your friend who works there "Alright who do I need to email about a sequel to my book?" and then "yes, of course I'm going to the party later-- where are you guys going to eat?".
*networking*

New writing rule: Checkov’s friend
If you introduce a named character with a relationship to a protagonist, their character arc must be resolved in a way that feels reasonable and satisfying
Which is to say: they can’t just dissappear when they’re no longer a convenient plot device

The comic's trailer is NOW UP.
Thank you to everybody who showed up for the premiere!
I Hope So WILL RESUME ON JUNE 1ST. Thank you all for bearing with us throughout this hiatus. You're all awesome!
As the trailer also states: from now on, we are updating the comic EVERY OTHER MONTH (two months) as opposed to our previous schedule of every month. This means more time for us to produce work and make longer chapters. <33
