Percy gets a new haircut and annabeth likes it a lot?
alright i don’t know if i’ve shared this headcanon but i got it into my head that percy and annabeth would both shave their heads after the war???
i think it’s mentioned in boo that their hair is quite wiry and dull, and i imagine it wouldn’t return to it’s previous godly lushnuss any time soon
so percy brings it up one time, all casual, like. We should just shave it off.
(lets say A’s head is in his lap and he’s running his fingers through her hair and she’s complaining about how awful and knotty it is all the time)
and she goes, Yes. That’s it, we should totally do that.
he waits a few moments for her to tell him that she’s just kidding
but she isn’t
and because they’re teenage demigods, they’re impulsive and ridiculous and they just fucking do it
they go over to the Ares cabin and borrow Clarisse’s electric shaver, bcs of course she has one
and after making up some lame excuse to her siblings for needing to borrow them, they go into the bathroom of cabin three and take turns shaving each other’s hair off
annabeth’s takes a lot longer obviously and percy has to cut a lot off before they can shave it because there’s SO MUCH of it and it’s kinda frizzy and enormous
they do a fuck awful job of it and have little tufts everywhere and when they both first stand in front of the mirror next to one another and properly appraise themselves, they die laughing for a few minutes
then they make out for a bit
then they go and find someone from the aphrodite cabin to sort it out, because someone there has to know how to fix this, right?
a few of them cry at the sight of them at first
but then they get to work
P and A sit opposite each other as they get tidied up, pulling faces and laughing like big fucking kids
everyone’s reactions are just fucking priceless
piper can’t stop rubbing her hands over annabeth’s head and laughing, telling her that she’s definitely getting an undercut now
jason gives percy a noogie until he gets kicked off
hazel keeps saying how pretty annabeth is. like. she’s so pretty. how? how is she such a majestic being???
leo dubs them both as furiosa and mad max. the names stick.
frank tells percy that he’d had his hair shaved off when he first joined camp jupiter and would never go back cause his head kept getting cold. bless his soul.
clarisse begrudgingly admits that they look pretty badass before blowing up about the fact that they used HER shaver without her permission
sally looks mildly traumatised for a few beats before she makes a cup of tea and Calms Down about the whole thing because it could be a lot worse
they could have gotten matching face tattoos, for instance
“Yes, thank you, Paul. Please don’t give them ideas.”
they get stared at for a while around camp but eventually people get used to it
they still get stared at a lot though because they do look pretty badass and very pretty
and then when it starts to grow back!! all soft and curly and ahh
grover is constantly making flower crowns for them both because it’s the perfect length and they look cute af
(ref: jane the goddess)
they’re both always running their hands through each other’s short hair when they’re making out or just chillin bcs it’s so soft and nice
and it’s so healthy
for the first time since Tartarus, they are both starting to feel healthy again
they’ve been building up their fitness again and no longer lose their breath so quickly (with help from Chiron)
they’ve talked and talked and talked, with each other and with their friends and parents and chiron, about everything, and they are starting to heal on the inside too
but because this is such a physical difference, they both really start to appreciate how much they’ve healed and changed and grown
(i’m sorry this really diverted from your ask, i’m just very passionate about this)

Can you do some sort of fic where Percy is shirtless and Annabeth sees the scars that she knows weren't from monsters and she asks Percy how he got them and he tells her about Gabe beating him and his mom? Please? Or like some head cannons?
I’m gonna do an AU with punk!percy if that’s alright (and they got a lot darker than I meant for them to)
Percy and Annabeth have been semi-sort of-not really dating for about a month now.
The reason it’s a kind-of-sort-of relationship is because Annabeth knows that her parents won’t like Percy just because of the tattoo on his forearm and the leather jackets that sits on his shoulders most of the time.
She hates that it’s like this, but Percy has been so amazing over the past few weeks that most of the time she just can’t believe that she gets him and gets to have a wonderful best friend/boyfriend in her life.
So they’re hanging out one night in her room, and her parents are gone out of town for the weekend on a conference for her dad’s work. Annabeth technically isn’t supposed to have people over (and probably not a boyfriend kinda guy), but she really doesn’t care when Percy suggests they go outside and take a swim.
She nods enthusiastically, pushing him out of her room and saying that she’ll meet him at the pool in the backyard. She changes into a black bikini that’s still new because she never had the nerve to wear it before this, and it seems like the kind of thing that Percy would like.
(Not to mention he’ll probably get the nerve to finally kiss her.)
Annabeth grabs two towels on her way downstairs and slips out onto the patio. The lights in the pool are on, so it’s dark except for the light coming up from the pool.
Percy is standing at the edge of the pool. He’s already stripped down to his boxers, and he hasn’t seen her yet. Annabeth watches with a small smile as he dives into the pool.
When he comes up for air a second later, he spots her and grins, waving his hand for her to come in. As she gets closer and he sees her more clearly, Annabeth watches his face and eyes darken to a heavy expression.
There are butterflies swarming her stomach, but she ignores them.
She dives into the pool, swimming over to Percy and spitting water in his face. He laughs and splashes her, and they have a water fight until Percy grabs her wrists and hauls him closer to her, pressing her against his chest.
She sets her hand on his right shoulder, and smiles at him. His hands settle on her hips. She can feel his muscles in his shoulders shift as he pulls her closer, and her hand slips over his skin until she feels a rough indention on his upper arm.
She frowns, looking down at it. “What’s this?”
Percy’s voice is rough when he says, “Nothing. Look at me.”
She glances back up at him, and his eyes are heavy, like he really wants to kiss her, but when she moves closer and lets her hand slip to his back, she feels another indention.
“Percy,” she says, “what are these?”
Annabeth runs her hands over them, looking closer until she realizes that they’re scars.
“Do we have to talk about this?” he asks, turning her head back to his. “We could do… something else.”
“After,” she promises. “Now tell me what these are.”
Percy sighs, looking away from her. He drags her over to the side of the pool, and they sit on the concrete side by side, holding hands. “Before my mom married Paul, she was married to another guy. His name was… uh, his name was Gabe. And he was. Fuck. He was fucking terrible, okay?”
“Okay,” Annabeth says, worried about where this is going. Percy’s voice is shaking, and she’s honestly never seen him like this.
“I was 12, I think. When I realized that he was hitting my mom,” Percy says. Annabeth sucks in a surprised breath. “He’d been doing it for years, and I was so young that I always believed the stories that my mom told about tripping and hitting the door or bumping her arm on the counter or whatever it was that day.”
He takes a breath before he keeps talking, hand tightening around hers. “The first time that I saw a bruise on my mom after that, I punched Gabe in the stomach.”
“What happened?” Annabeth whispers.
“My mom was screaming, clawing at him to let go of me when he grabbed me and threw me to the ground. He said if I was old enough to hit like that, then I was old enough to be hit like that. He kicked me until my mom broke a vase over his head,” Percy explains. His voice sounds weird, and there are tears in Annabeth’s eyes now. “It didn’t do us much good. He hit her and made me watch.”
Annabeth runs her fingers over the scars again, but before she can say anything, Percy says, “I think that’s what those are from, but there are so many others that I can’t really remember. I try to forget about it.”
“What… what happened? In the end?” Annabeth asks.
Percy finally turns to look at her. “It was about a year after the first time he hit me, and I came home with bad grades for the term. I was trying to talk to Mom about it, but when Gabe came in and saw it… He said a lot of bad stuff, and then he… he–”
Percy’s voice breaks, and he squeezes his eyes closed. Annabeth’s tears leak down one of her cheeks.
“He burned my hands. With the stove. Said I was too stupid to notice probably. Mom was… Mom was screaming and I was screaming and I didn’t even notice when she came back in with a gun.”
There’s a long pause before Percy says, “Police said it was self defense. Judge said that the planet was better off without him. There wasn’t even a trial.”
Annabeth waits long enough to be sure that he’s finished talking before she says, “Percy, I’m so sorry.”
“I shouldn’t have told you all of that,” he mutters, kicking his feet in the water.
She turns his head to face her. “Hey, you can tell me anything.”
“Yeah, but…”
“What?”
He shrugs out of her grasp. “You think differently of me now. Probably think I’m pathetic.”
And really, that’s the worst thing that he’s said this whole time.
She takes his chin in her hand again and turns his face back to he has to look at her. Her other hand slips to rest on his chest over his heart. “Percy.”
He finally looks up at her with wide, green eyes.
“I would never think that about you,” she says softly. “You’re so strong. I couldn’t imagine… You’re so strong, okay? And you’re amazing and kind and gentle and I… I love you.”
Percy’s staring at her. His voice is rough and husky when he says, “Are you sure?”
“Of course I’m sure.” And just for good measure, she leans forward and whispers it into his ear and against his cheek when she presses her lips there.
“Okay,” he says, and his voice sounds a little broken, but when he wraps his arms around her and pulls her closer, she breathes out a breathe and decides this is where she wants to be for forever.

A sharp pain in his shoulder forced him awake, and when he blinked his eyes open, he saw Annabeth pulling her fist away from where she had punched him. She was grinning as he scrambled up to a sitting position, popping his back in the process and groaning. It was just—he was fucking exhausted, okay?
“What? What’s wrong?” he asked frantically, glancing around the room. “Theo okay? Is he—?”
She laughed softly, reaching out with her free hand to touch his face. Percy leaned into her palm, and his eyes threatened to close again because he was just so damn tired—
“Go to bed,” she said, running her fingers through his hair. “I’ll put Theo down in a few minutes.”
He shook his head. “No, I’m fine. I can do it.”
“Too bad because I want to,” she said stubbornly, rubbing Theo’s back where he was resting against her chest. The little guy’s eyes were still open, but he looked completely happy as he fisted Annabeth’s shirt in one, small hand and sucked on his pacifier. “So go to bed.”

Property of Percy Jackson [fic]
This fic is dedicated to @lililibird for some reason that I cannot remember (I’m guessing it’s bc you’re hella awesome, Lili) so I hope that you guys enjoy the punk!Percy and girly!Annabeth here. I also wanna thank Lili for being an incredible beta and friend to me. Don’t know what I would do without you, bruh <3
Come let me know what you think, and I hope you guys have a wonderful day!
–12202015–
Annabeth can remember every single time that she’s had to hold Percy’s hand as he gets his knuckles stitched back up from punching someone or when she’s had to hold a pack of ice to a black eye that he got for insulting someone at their high school or even that one time that she had to drag him out of the road after he had a skateboarding accident, and he was a lot heavier than he looked, okay?
So it’s kind of funny to see Percy scowling and frowning and pacing around her small bed in the Emergency Room.
“Hey,” she says softly, trying to make her voice sound like she was in less pain so he wouldn’t panic. “You can go home. I’m fine.”
He turns his scowl to her. “I’m not leaving you here.”
She shrugs then, looking back up at the wall and biting her lip.
Annabeth was at practice earlier today—Track, even though she wasn’t that good, it looked great on her resumes—when she tripped over one of the hurdles. She could usually clear them without a problem, but she had been thinking about her history paper and her foot got caught on it. She threw her hands out in front of her, which probably saved her face, but her wrist had cracked and bent to a strange angle.

Hi! Can u please do “Someone wrote I’m cute in the bathroom stall and your notes match the handwriting” for Percabeth??
Someone wrote I’m cute in the bathroom stall and your notes match the handwriting (Percabeth)
It had been on her mind for days. The four words etched into the wall of the stall in the girls bathroom. “Annabeth Chase is cute.” She’d interrogated Piper several times, because if it wasn’t her, surely she knew who had done it, but if she did she wasn’t cracking. This whole thing had wormed its way into Annabeths head, and she was distracted to say the least. In fact, she was barely paying attention in class that day, and she didn’t notice until the bell was ringing, and her best friend, Percy, was shaking her shoulder. “Come on, Annabeth.” She snapped her head up at him, jumping a bit. Percy laughed. “You okay? You seem a little out of it.” Annabeth shook her head, running a hand through her hair. “I’m fine. It’s nothing. I just..” She groaned. “I forgot to take any notes. Please tell me you have some?” Percy shook his head. “Annabeth, Annabeth, Annabeth. I will not encourage you to cheat. You have to learn for yourself.” Annabeth rolled her eyes, snatching the notebook out of Percy’s hands and sprinting across the classroom, out the door, and down the hall. Percy chuckled, before running after her. “Hey! No fair.” Annabeth laughed, slowing down now that she was in the halls. She ducked into an empty classroom, jotting down notes as fast as she could before Percy found her. She stopped half way through, however, and took a closer look at his notes. Her eyes widened, as she pulled her phone out from her pocket, scrolling to the picture she had taken of the words on the bathroom stall. She was caught off guard when percy jumped into the room, grabbing his notes and dangling them above her head. “Ha! I got them!” Annabeth looked up at him, her face red. “Percy…What the hell were you doing in the girls bathroom?”

One Race Away (From You)
A/N: This fic is dedicated to @siriuslysolangelo who won the giveaway, congrats! They asked for a percabeth college AU. We plan on having another giveaway fairly soon! Here it is...
The cheering only got louder as Percy stepped onto the starting block. He took a deep breath, pulled his goggles over his eyes, and placed his fingertips on the edge of the block. The crowd’s noise became quieter and less decipherable as he focused.
The gun went off and Percy was immediately in the water. He made his way to the end of the pool and swam back, one lap turned into two, and two turned into three. On his final lap of his 200 medley race, he could see another swimmer gaining on him in the corner of his eye. Percy grit his teeth and pushed himself. He could not lose this race. His mom had given up so much and Percy had worked too hard to lose now.
It had seemed like forever before his hand touched the edge of the pool. He removed his goggles from above his eyes and took a deep breath. The crowd was cheering and he smiled at them. The smile turned into a frown when he realized no one was looking at him. His mom had a sad smile, herself. He turned around and there was the swimmer, waving at the crowd. Percy’s heart sank.
He pulled himself out of the pool and raced towards the locker room. He heard a couple people calling his name but he shrugged them off before opening the door and sitting down on a bench. He rubbed his face with his hands and let out a shaky breath. This race meant everything; winning first guaranteed him a spot in the spring Olympics. Winning second left him with nothing but the glory of winning second in nationals.
Grabbing his clothes, Percy walked towards the showers. He turned the faucet to the hottest it could go and didn’t bother making it colder. He stripped and stepped inside the stall. The stinging sensation fought the numbing one he felt from losing.  He closed his eyes, letting the water drops make paths down his exhausted body. Percy heard the people walk in before he saw them. Everyone was patting each other’s backs, congratulating them on their race. Smiles and laughs were passed around. Percy’s team did ultimately win the competition. He was obviously happy about that fact, his team had won another trophy to their ever growing collection since Percy had joined.
The laughter got louder as the people got closer to him. Percy shut the water off and grabbed his towel, wrapping it around his waist. The green-eyed man shook his soaked hair out and grabbed his t-shirt. He yanked the shirt down and finished getting changed. Percy received a couple congratulations and pats on the back while walking back towards his locker. The raven haired boy grabbed his duffle bag and made his way to the door. He pushed the door open and heard a yelp.
Percy looked down to see a girl on the ground, grabbing her nose and clutching a book to her chest. Dropping his bag, he kneeled down next to the girl and moved her hand to get a better look at her nose. Slightly red but nothing a little ice couldn’t fix.
“I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going and I’m a bit distracted,” Percy apologized, holding a hand out for her to grab. The stranger reached for his hand and pulled herself up.
“It’s fine, really. I wasn’t exactly looking where I was going either. So I suppose we’re both at fault,” she replied, moving her nose around with her right hand a bit, the other stuck out for a shake, “Annabeth.”
“Percy,” he said while shaking her hand.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Percy. Wait, Percy? As in Percy Jackson? As in the guy who nearly just won that last race?” Annabeth asked question after question.
Percy sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah. That’s me.”
Annabeth stuck her hand out in front of her like she just touched a hot stove. “Oh sorry. Probably shouldn’t have brought that up. Sorry. That was really stupid of me. Wow, why did I ask that?”
“Annabeth, calm down. It’s fine. This may seem kind of rude but I have to go. I planned my mom a dinner and I don’t want to keep her waiting,” he said, patting her shoulder and walking past her.
“It’s totally okay. Have fun with your mom and hopefully I’ll see you around,” she assured, turning around, but he was already gone.
Pulling down her light gray dress, Annabeth continued on her way.
The next time Percy saw Annabeth was a week later when he was late for his psych class. It was flurrying out and Percy pulled his jacket tighter around him to keep warm. He was trying to get to his class when he managed to bump into her once more. Today she was wearing a lavender dress with a black leather jacket, which in Percy’s opinion, looked really good on her.
“We really need to stop meeting like this,” Annabeth stated, picking up one of her textbooks from the ground and readjusting her black-framed glasses. Percy bent down and grabbed the other book.
“Perhaps we should. Perhaps we shouldn’t,” Percy suggested.
“So, how’s swimming been going?” Annabeth inquired.
“Uh, pretty good. Coach is pushing me harder, which is understandable,” Percy replied while scratching the back of his neck.
“I suppose. You did really great at the last meet. I’m saying it was pure luck that the other guy won. You’re way better than him,” Annabeth reassured while taking a couple steps forward.
“You think so?” Annabeth nodded. “Thanks, means a lot actually.” He smiled.
“Absolutely, no problem!” Annabeth checked her watch, two o’clock. “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have my calculus class to get to. Have a good day, Percy.” With that, Annabeth walked off.
Percy stood there a couple of seconds, just watching her leave before he remembered he had his own class to get to. Grabbing the straps of his backpack, Percy took off running towards his class.
Maybe it was fate the third time they ran into each other. Percy was in the library. He originally came here to try and study but after twenty minutes of no success, he gave up. He leaned back in his chair, feet propped up on the table and a pencil between his lip and nose, trying to balance himself and the pencil. He was doing pretty well when he heard someone clear their throat behind him.
He jumped in his seat and lost his balance, his chair flew forward while his pencil fell to the ground. He turned to see Annabeth laughing at him.
“You think that was funny, Annabeth? I could have very well died,” he scolded jokingly.
“Ah, but you didn’t. ‘Could’ being the key word in that statement.” She smiled at him while walking over to his table and placing her books down. “Trying to study, are you?”
“‘Trying’ being the key word in that statement,” he mimicked. “I have to get a B on my Pre-Calc test to maintain my C in that class. If I don’t keep my C, I can’t swim. You seeing my dilemma here?”
“You know, I could maybe tutor you? I mean, I am in Calc 3 at the moment,” Annabeth replied while pulling out the chair next to him and sitting.
Percy’s eyes lit up with hope. “Really? You would do that for me? I mean, this is the only the third time we’ve talked.”
“Sure, why not? It’ll help me brush up on my skills while I’m at it. Here, text or call me whenever you’re free and we can meet up.” She handed him a piece of paper.
Percy took the piece of paper and shoved it into his backpack. “You know you’re a lifesaver, right? This is great, thank you so much!” He grabbed Annabeth from her chair and pulled her into a hug. Instincts took over and Annabeth hugged him back.
“It’s no problem, Percy. Promise. Now, why don’t you try to study a bit while I’m here so I can make sure you stay focused.” Percy nodded and reached for his highlighter before starting to read the textbook. Annabeth looked over at him and bit her lip, he was cute, she couldn’t deny that. Jet black, wind-blown hair, with tan skin and bright sea green eyes. Plus every once in awhile his lips would twitch into a half smirk and Annabeth’s heart would flutter ever so slightly.
She shook her head before focusing on her own textbook.
Percy wasn’t sure how long you were supposed to wait to text a girl after she gives you her phone number, but he assumed because it was for tutoring, he could do it the day after.
hey, this is percy. its kinda soon but are you free rn? im free tonite and id really like to get some time in. thanks, lemme kno.
Percy put his phone on the table next to him and returned his attention to the show on t.v. Not five minutes later his phone buzzed.
I have some time, how about we meet at Olympus Café in 20 minutes?
Percy typed back a reply.
sure! ill be there. see you soon annabeth.
Bye, Percy.
Percy shoved his phone into his pocket while running to his closet to find his textbook and a clean hoodie. His hunt was successful as he grabbed his backpack and his high school AHS swim hoodie and ran out the door. While running, he checked to make sure he had his room key and his wallet, breathing a sigh of relief when he found them.
Luckily, the café they were meeting at was only a ten minute walk for Percy. With the wind blowing against Percy’s sweatshirt it felt a little longer He walked in front of the large café window and noticed Annabeth right away. Her blonde curls were tied up in a ponytail and she was wearing her black-rimmed glasses with a pale pink dress. It wasn’t fair she looked better than she had yesterday while he looked like a bum.
Opening the door, Percy was met with a gush of warm wind and the smell of coffee. He walked over towards the coffee table Annabeth was sitting at and tapped her shoulder. She jumped slightly and placed a hand on her chest, trying to calm her breathing down a little.
“Jesus, Percy. You scared me,” she scolded, still breathing hard.
“Obviously,” he agreed, sitting down in the chair across from her. He bent down and opened his backpack, grabbing his textbook and his notebook. He put both items on the table and folded his hands above the textbook.
“So, Annabeth. How exactly does this work?” he wondered.
“Have you never been tutored before? Or seen any high school movie ever? I simply teach you how to do math and you do said math,” she explained while closing her own textbook and leaning on the table.
“Hey, what can I get you two?” A waitress asked after walking over to them.
Percy looked at Annabeth and waved his hand at her, indicating she can order first. Annabeth turned her attention back to the waitress. “Yes, can I just get a plain black coffee? Please?”
“Of course you would order coffee,” Percy scoffed. “I’ll take a hot chocolate with extra whip cream, please.” The waitress nodded at them both before turning and walking away.
“Why are you hating on my order? I personally enjoy the taste, even if you don’t,” Annabeth scolded, leaning her back against the wooden chair.
“You’re right. I hate coffee, in general. So, you doing anything for Christmas?” Percy wondered, leaning forward and folding his hands together on the table.
“I’m Jewish,” Annabeth declared, with a slight smirk gracing her face.
“Oh! I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t assume like that. Oh wow, now I feel like a dick. I’m sorry, I really am. I don’t even know why I thought-,” Percy ranted with a red face.
“It’s okay, Percy. No harm done, really,” Annabeth interrupted.
The waitress came back with their drinks a minute later. Percy grabbed his and started guzzling it in an attempt to hide his embarrassment. Annabeth reached for hers and took small sips, smiling at Percy’s awkwardness.
Percy placed his mug back onto the table and coughed into his fist. Annabeth put hers down as well and grabbed his textbook. “Alright, let’s start off with the basics, first you want to do…”
They continued their time at the café with Annabeth explaining how to do a problem and making Percy solve a couple. By the end of their night, they were on their fourth mug of their drinks and the café only had a few other students, cramming for their exams. The fireplace they had was still burning brightly while the snow outside fell harder than it had all week.
Percy leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh. Annabeth put her hands over her head and stretched, popping a couple of her joints, followed by a content hum escaping her.
“I think we’re good for today. Let’s pack up,” Annabeth concluded, grabbing her messenger back and shoving her materials inside of it. Percy doing the same with his backpack.
Placing some money on the table, Percy got up and walked to the door, waiting for Annabeth.
“You know, I could’ve paid for myself,” Annabeth stated.
Percy smiled and said, “I know, but my mom taught me to be a gentleman. That includes paying for our drinks. You are tutoring me, I have to pay you back somehow.” Percy held the door open for Annabeth, who nodded at him and stepped into the night. “Which dorm are you in? I’ll walk you,” Percy smiled.
Annabeth told him while shoving her hands in her pockets. Percy did the same and they started walking to her dorm building. The snow outside was illuminated by the orange streetlights. Percy looked over to see some snow had fallen on top of Annabeth’s head and decorated her hair with shimmering crystals. His heart skipped a beat before he forced his eyes away, staring in front of him.
“So, you think I’ll be ready for my final with your help?” Percy asked, lightly shoving her with his shoulder.
“Oh, you’ll definitely be ready,” Annabeth replied, shoving him back. Percy nodded and the rest of the walk consisted of them shoving each other and soft laughs when one of them slipped on the snow.
Their walk came to an end with they reached Annabeth’s dorm building. Annabeth turned her back to it, facing Percy.
“Thank you for walking me home,” Annabeth voiced, her hands still in her pockets.
“No problem,” he replied. Looking at her he noticed the light above them made Annabeth’s face glow. Her gray eyes stuck out in the dark night and her eyelashes made shadows on her red cheeks. Percy couldn’t take it anymore. “Annabeth, I’m going to do something crazy, please don’t hate me. It’s just that I’ve wanted to all night and this seems like the perfect opportunity, so, yeah,” Percy confessed.
He leaned forward, his hands cupping her cheeks and kissed her. Annabeth let out a small gasp before closing her eyes and lacing her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Her lips were soft and tasted of honey and apples; he smiled because it was so Annabeth.
She pulled back moments later, both of them with their eyes still closed. He leaned his forward against hers and moved his hands to her waist.
“I kinda have to go, Percy. Classes tomorrow and all,” Annabeth hummed. Percy nodded, letting her go, she started walking away before Percy grabbed her hand and pulled her back to him, kissing her once more. Annabeth laughed, shoving him away. “Percy, I really do have to go. I’ll see you tomorrow, promise.”
She walked into her dorm with Percy standing on the steps, placing his hands in his pockets. He turned around on one foot and made his way down the steps. The walk to his dorm was full of smiling every time he thought about the kiss, which to be fair, was the entire time.
And when Percy wins the race next year, Annabeth is right there cheering him on.

Prompt: Percabeth Sky High au (ps I love your writing)
Percy has spent four years of high school trying to find Annabeth.
Technically, he also did that in middle school, and elementary school. And he probably did it when they were playing together as kids, because Annabeth has always known how to vanish, even before her powers had kicked in. But today, as Percy hurries through the hallways of Sky High, he has less faith in himself than he usually does. Because, normally, Annabeth wants to be found by him.
He doesn’t know if that is the case today.
The whole school seems to be floating in a fog. Nobody has been speaking during class changes. Gym classes have been almost silent, and none of the teachers are trying to teach. It’s easy to stand up and walk out of a classroom once Percy realizes that Annabeth has left, because everybody else is doing it today as well. It’s one of those days that only comes around once in a high school career, and Percy doesn’t want to go through it alone.
Neither, he suspects, does Annabeth. At least, on a subconscious level.
He turns down a third hallway and finds himself facing the landing pad where the students who can fly usually convene at recess. There’s nobody there today, so Percy opens the door and peers into the bright morning sky, letting the breeze ruffle his hair.
“Annabeth?” he whispers, the wind carrying his voice, and he’s about to leave when she finally materializes in the middle of the floor.
“Hi,” she says, voice flat. She’s got her knees drawn up to her chest, her arms wrapped around them, and she doesn’t move her head to look at him. But the fact that she had materialized is enough for Percy to know that a part of her wants him there, so he gently shuts the door and walks over to Annabeth, ending up bouncing slightly on the floor as he takes his seat next to her.
“Hiding?” Percy asks, crossing his legs.
“Not from you,” Annabeth tells the skyline.  “I know,” he says, swallowing too hard. “I don’t know what you’re thinking about.”
“You do.” “No,” he says stubbornly. When he looks down, Annabeth’s hand is missing, completely gone from her arm. “Hey,” he says, skating his fingers down her wrist and finding the warm, solid skin. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. I’m sorry.”
“Sorry,” Annabeth says, letting it out in a rush of air. She stares at the hand, and it fades back into view. “I’m… fine.” “You’ve never been good at lying to me.” “I convinced you your dad was my favorite superhero.” “Well, that was just mean.”“I can’t believe you bought it when my mom is clearly so superior.” “Pun intended?”She inhales lengthily, then lets it out in a laugh as she roughly brings the heel of her palm up to brush one tear away from the corner of her eye.
“Percy, this thing we’re doing… it’s real.”
“It always has been.” Annabeth shakes her head, ponytail swishing back and forth in the air.
“No. No. Because when we were kids, and not seniors in high school, nobody was sending us off on assignments. Nobody was having us intern with real heroes. We were never at risk, we never had to use our powers for anything but classes… we were just figuring things out, Percy. And now it’s real.”
He can’t breathe, looking at her.
“We could lose each other.” “We could lose everyone.”
Percy knows he has to be the smart one right now, because Annabeth has just lost someone— the whole school has, really— and it isn’t one of those normal days where Percy is an idiot and Annabeth is the brilliant one and Piper is people smart and Jason is logical and Frank and Hazel are sweet and Leo is even more of an idiot than Percy. They aren’t under any obligation to be who they usually are today. They’re allowed to be scared. “Just because Katie got killed, doesn’t mean it’s going to happen to all of us.” “You’re right,” Annabeth says, smiling wryly. “It’s going to happen to some of us. Slowly, and painfully, and sometimes we’re going to feel like it’s okay and we aren’t going to be, Percy. Because half of us are going to get killed doing what we’re born to do and half of us are going to be left behind missing the other ones.” “We’re always going to be okay,” he says, running his thumb across her palm even as he squeezes her hand harder. “We’re doing all this together. We’re together, Annabeth.” She finally turns her head towards him.
“What if we’re not?”
Percy stares into her gray eyes, looking for signs of lifelessness. But the color is still dancing in the light of the sun, spinning and whirring as she lets herself be seen by him. He wants to tug her smile back onto her lips with a kiss, or playfully wrap his fingers around the strands of her ponytail, but instead he lets himself try to get lost in the same fear that Annabeth is drowning in. Because, when she’s drowning, it’s his responsibility to pull her out. Has been ever since they were kids, and that’s not going to change now, even when they are facing something so enormously inevitable that it is unmovable. Even by a boy who can control the sea. Even by a girl who can do anything, regardless of the power of invisibility.
“What do we do?” he asks, bringing his hand around to cup Annabeth’s cheek. She shifts closer to him, nuzzling her nose into his palm and dropping a kiss there.
“We pretend,” she whispers.
When she looks across at him, a part of her other cheek turns invisible.

–282016–
Percy has a complicated relationship with the owner of the tattoo parlor.
First of all, she (yes, she) buys the building directly across the street from his shop and turns the bakery into a tattoo parlor. Percy had loved the bakery (the blue chocolate cupcakes were his favorite), and then he gets to work one morning and finds out that a tattoo parlor bought out the business. A tattoo parlor. A place where they permanently ink things onto skin. It’s morbid and disgusting, and Percy hates the idea immediately.
But, his mother raised him to have good manners, so he grumbles the whole time while he puts together a welcome bouquet when the tattoo parlor finally opens up. He isn’t sure what kind of flowers go with tattoos, but he throws together a simple vase with yellow daisies before he walks over to the shop, calling out to Hazel that he will be back shortly.
