The very foundation of the freedom of speech is the freedom to offend, so if the American press won鈥檛 publish the controversial covers and cartoons of Charlie Hebdo, then I sure as fuck will.
At least twelve people were brutally murdered in Paris today because they chose to satirize a religion. They were shot down in cold blood by an armed cadre of religious fundamentalists who believe they will be rewarded for their violence by a vain and jealous god.
Over cartoons. Over fucking cartoons.

I'm on a bit of a Shining fix today. Heres a great documentary about the making of the film.
It should be said, I dont expect many people read this blog, if any at all really. I post here as an act of catharsis, it helps me open a faucet of thoughts from my head. The blog also serves as a great way for me to reflect and remember, because truthfully, my memory is shit.

Quote
There is no death; Lifelessness is only a disguise, Behind which hide, Unknown forms of life.
This poem, written on a small card, was handed to Jack Torrance by Delbert Grady at the end of the originally filmed version of the scene in the red bathroom. The moment was subsequently omitted, and does not appear in the finished film. The original printed cards (in multiple languages) can be found in the Stanley Kubrick Archive. (via the-overlook-hotel)

Dan Carlin- Common Sense "Kickstarting the Revolution"
This episode was about electing a candidate to reshape our political system. Hes got some great ideas, and asks for his listeners to think of some themselves.聽
My idea:
Lets elect a robot who's every decision is based on online polls. Humans are so fuckupable.聽
