I finally got through all of @/SubsonicSparkIe's Sonic CD video. It was very good, even made me revisit the game myself. And while I still don't love it as a game, I do have a newfound appreciation for it's narrative and Oshima's vision.

How old do you view most of the Sonic cast?

Well they very rarely act their age so it’s a little awkward. I guess they’re meant to be timeless, but also youthful so it could really be anything. Characters like Tails Cream and Charmy are undoubtedly kids though.

Like bro imagine if Crossworlds throws a complete left field and adds in Sally as a playable character, I knows it’s unlikely, but imagine tho. (It would be so funny.)

That'd be pretty funny, I don't ever see them actually doing that though.

I honestly don't think I'd want her in the games anyway, I don't think she'd fit. And even if she did, she probably wouldn't be written great.

I'd like the Freedom Fighters to live on in merch and stuff like that. Throw 'em on a t-shirt or something, at least acknowledge them.

You've talked about your favorite character(s) from the Sonic Franchise before, but who's your least favorite?

I honestly don't know. I can usually find something to like about most Sonic characters. Probably someone from IDW, like Lanolin or Rough and Tumble. Oh I guess the Deadly Six are a safe bet, I don't think anyone likes them.

I've read your opinions on the Sonic Movies and I have to ask, what would you change about the movies? And would you have introduced the same characters as the 3rd movie did? And if not, who would you of introduced and why? Sorry about the question being a bit long but I've been genuinely wondering

Well I'm a talentless hack so I can't really act like I would be able to fix the movies. But for me, I think my problems with the movies stem from the foundation they're built on. I don't think it's possible for the movies to ever be true Sonic movies as they are now, even if they adapt more stuff from the games. The first movie was so safe and generic, but it's the bedrock for the rest of the series, so future installments will never be able to escape it. Everything will need to tie back into Sonic living in a house on Earth with his adopted human family, which for me is so far removed from what Sonic is.

So I guess my answer would be to just make an animated movie that's actually faithful to the games.
