“Its very quiet here, isn’t it.” He slips in a cup of tea, all casual like as if he wasn’t talking to a merchant princess of sorts. He’s trying his best to be friendly despite his...attitude towards anyone not from Wu.

“I’m Lulu, just a priestess who only provides healing and stuff.” That is what she does best since offensive isn’t her thing at all. Priestess was already aware of the fused places coming from various worlds such as Xu Sheng’s and hers.
“Guess i will be supporting you for a meantime.” It’s only natural for priestesses to give aid to those going on the frontlines.
“I have heard that you possess great skills in the divine. Is that a fact of training or perhaps diving intervention?” the word priestess made him think of gods after all, but when your regularly fighting gods on equal footing, the lines tend to blur a lot.

Alas, there was indeed a map. Lulu was skeptical as she picked it up and returned back to the owner. Near her dress, of course. She never had any idea how did that get there.
“H-Here you go.” She handed the map back to him until something curious came out of her mind. Luhriel in the other hand, still nowhere to be found.
“Is this a treasure map you’re using? or a town map perhaps?” Asked for a reason.
“I have no idea, I was about to check it when the wind from the open window blew it under you. Perhaps its both, after all this town... is a mix of different places right? As far as I understand.”
A pause.
“Forgive me, I am Xu Sheng. One of the generals of the Wu army.”

“Forgive me, but could you move a bit? “ the woman looked like a shrine priestess, one who is always given respect for. After all gods were one thing he believed in. “I dropped my map and its...near your dress.” under it.

Avery smiled, ”没关系!“
She was happy to do something for the man that has been so nice to her and her brother, especially when most were wary to foreigners. Though when he only took one she tilted her head, “Don’t be so modest, take at least one more. We can split them.”
Avery took a bite of one of the meat buns, and her eyes lit up with an idea, perhaps she could help the Wu soldiers with food since prices have gone up for them. She knew how to make multiple types of food, perhaps they would like some food from her homeland as well.
“I would like to help the Wu soldiers… If you like meat buns so much, perhaps I could make them along with other food for you and other soldiers. Since you all have done so much good around here, I wouldn’t charge. I could even provide foreign meals.” She offered her idea, “It would certainly boost morale, and I’m certain my brother would like me to get out of the house and stop pestering him as he builds up his business.”
“What do you think? Certainly you all could use an extra set of helping hands…” She asked Sheng hopefully.
“Your brother? You mentioned him once.” but he thinks about it, it would be good morale if the soldiers had gotten more food, ever since Lord Sun Quan took over, his moods had overall effected the morale of the troops and when he is mostly sad, the whole troops are sad. Its not like lord Sun Jian or Sun Ce time. He is a bit more human or rather more open with his emotions. It makes everyone sad indeed.
“I would recommend you then to the army, but are you sure? That will be a full time job if you accept. And it won’t be easy considering you are a foreigner. Some people are afraid of change after all.”
“It will be a long road ahead of you.”
“I’m sorry for being such a pessimist. But that is the reality right now.”

She chuckles softly, “这个因为你是一名战士. 给我一点时间.”
She says, knowing that the old woman wouldn’t give a discount to a soldier but to a regular civilian she may. Avery walked up to the stand, and talked to the woman for a few minutes, and made her smile. Soon, she returned with four meat buns.
“这够了吗?“ She tilted her head, asking if it was enough for him.
“棒极了。” mostly in context that a foreigner was able to get a discount from someone that old to begin with. perhaps the difference of a soldier and common civilian was that massive that he needed to talk with his lord about this.
After all soldiers were civilians too.
“谢谢” He grabs only one meat bun for starters. Leaving the rest for her to eat. He only wanted one but she got four so-

“哦?这个老奶奶知道你喜欢包子。询问折扣价.” She smiled, encouraging him to ask for a discount from the older woman. “Certainly, she’d give one to a frequent customer.”
“你会想。但她不会。由于土匪袭击,肉价上涨。“ You will think. But she won't. The price of meat has risen due to bandit attacks.
“我对这一切感到头疼。” I have a headache for all of this.

“Hmm. I like your colors you have sporting there!”
Its not everyday he says that, seeing as he’s on the battle field most of the time. But when two people of similar...coloration come together. its a fun fest.

“Wu officer here..interesting.” Mumbled to himself silently brow arched assuming hes passing through. He had no qualms with Wu when not on battlefield.
“Is there a problem with that?” a wu offering being interested or a source of topic only matters when there is glory or scandal involved. One or the other.

empressofjin:
A enemy complementing her family? Pleased her nonetheless, in fact it seemed so sweet her sons and husbands should’ve been made present so they could hear this mans words. As a reminder that they should be grateful for her and all her hard work selflessly did for them.
” ..Oh No need for apologies. Perhaps next time you can say that to Yi and the boys.” dowager laughed, hand grabbed kettle and poured tea in a cup handing it over to him. Sigh escaped her as she placed kettle down,“ If I had daughters..It make things little simpler. All i’d have to do is raised with love couldn’t always show my boys and marry her off to good man..and then prey she didn’t have to turn her claws at her family.” women could live simplified life out war yet many like Chunhua chooses bloody carnage for loved ones.
It isn’t everyday that he would compliment the enemy, after all he has a habit of insulting them everyday. Perhaps its the constant presence of then enemies, now allies that has changed him. But it might have something to do with the steam buns every now and then that made him rather complacant and move further into the jin camp.
“Well...I’m sure your sons know exactly how much you love them, even during our times fighting.”
Sips tea.
“Should... I instead write a letter then Perhaps?”
